The Dias apartments were really good. The rooms were nicely decorated and the view from the balcony was beautiful. The pool temperature was a bit cold though! That’s about the only fault I can think of. That should tell you something. I would recommend it to the young... more

Wow, dias apartments are great. The rooms were very clean bigger than the pictures in the brochures. During our stay we were made very welcome by all the family who owned the apartments and the staff who worked there. We've never been anywhere where we have felt so welcome. We spent most of our time by the pool and for the first few days had the pool all to ourselves, even though there were lots of people staying there. Great place to stay, clean rooms with plenty of space. there are plenty of restaurants and bars nearby, all are affordable with good service and pleasant staff. Don`t be put off by tales of greek drivers, hire a car and do some exploring it`s a wonderful island with some glorious beaches and mountain views. One point worth mentioning is that if you go during July and August when it really gets hot the air con in the room is a paid for extra and it will set you back 42 Euro per week (not cheap) The cooking facilities are rather basic with two... more

I came here with my boyfriend in September 07, to avoid families with children! The apartments were spotlessly clean, and very spacious. The pool had a great sea view and it was often quiet or empty! Plently of sunloungers and a pool side bar for refreshments. The staff were very helpful and made the stay very comfortable. The nearby beach was very nice and we found plenty of good restaurants. Dias Studios are an amazing holiday destination. The appartments are generously sized and spotlessly clean. the pool is well maintained and clean. ther are plently of sunbeds for everyone. The accomodation is owned by a friendly family who live locally. The first choice rep (Angie) was a star and gave us great, unbiased advice. She went out of her way to make sure that we had a great time even though we did not sign up for any excursions with first choice. We would highly recommend these apartments as we found them clean, modern and well located. There are some nice restaurants nearby (Ateri across the road is good or try one of the beach restaurants off the main road and enjoy the sunset) and the apartments are close to shops and the main bus route. The old village and beach are a short walk away and Chania is a short taxi ride (which reception will happily arrange). As our first holiday abroad we were slightly nervous about what to expect but we were really pleased when we saw the clean and well looked after room that we were given for our weeks stay at the Hotel Dias. The room was cleaned every other day, and clean towels were left also. There was some entertainment laid on by the Hotel, on Sunday night there was a 'pasta night' and on a Thursday night there was a barbacue. Every night the hotel bar was open and food was available. My daughter and I have just returned from the Dias Apartments where we had a really lovely holiday. Small complex but everything you need very near at hand. Apartments and pool are immaculately kept and the two families who run the place are very friendly. Met some great people - hi Carole, Julie and gang - and spent some VERY late nights sitting round the pool bar having a good laugh (the Cretan night on Fridays is great fun)! this was our first visit to Crete but it wont be our last. We went august 2004 and are going back with extra people aug 2005. The dias appartments were we stayed were superb. The welcome form the family who own and run the appartments was wonderful. Yanis and Kosmos and the rest of the family work really hard to ensure that you enjoy your stay.
