We chose this as a relaxing, romantic destination for our honeymoon. The clientele were 80% honeymooners with the other small percentage being couples aged 35 - 65. Food was absolutely wonderful, mainly French in the evenings - 4 courses - with unlimited wine - Fab! Lunch was more carribbean with BBQ'd meats and fish cooked to order on the huge sea - side grill.
Entertainment was very low - key, usually piano with one evening of traditional music, which was great.
The resort is just along the coast from The Windjammer, which appeared to be much more entertainment centred.
The accomodation are all individual 1 room villas with lovely sunken shower rooms and private porches. The resort has one pool and a private beach, which is exceptionally clean and beautiful. The staff are extraordinarily polite, unintrusive and professional.
We enjoyed every minute of our holiday as we were looking for somewhere relaxing, romantic and luxurious. The only very minor down points were that the resort is quite isolated so going for a wander elsewhere without getting a taxi is fairly pointless. Also the entertainment was very, very low - key and once or twice we looked longingly over at the lively Windjammer resort.
All in all East Winds is a wonderful place and St. Lucia is a stunningly beautiful island!!!

I'll get back here one day. Stunning wine list, beautiful barbequed whole lobster in the open water-side restaurant, fresh fish served every day.
The hotel is peaceful, understated and has beautifully kept grounds and beach. Well kept pool, clean rooms, friendly staff. This was good. You will need to entertain yourself but if you want a thoroughly relaxing, quality hotel with fantastic food - this is it.
