Hotel Description:

Perched on the edge of the pool, testing the water with your toes, you are bound to feel rather pleased with yourself. You’ve chosen a great hotel set on a peaceful hillside with views of sea, mountains and olive groves. You are 100m from Havania Beach (sand and pebble) where you’ll find watersports and a snack bar. Aghios Nikolaos’ town centre is 2.5km away and there's a handy bus-stop outside the hotel.

" Fantastic holiday, would have used different hotel "

Me and my boyfriend came here last year and it was our first holiday together.
When we got off the coach at out hotel we had to walk up 50 steps with our suitcase just to get to the reception, this wouldnt be too bad at night when its cool but during the day its unbearable with the heat especially if you are walking up the steep drive first.
The hotel is quite small and the rooms are every basic. Whilst we were there they had problems with the water system and we didnt get any hot water for a week. Whn you did have a shower, the whole bathroom flooded because the shower pole was just stuck on the wall in the corner of the bathroom with just a drain on the floor. Other than this the room was clean and comfortable and was cleaned everyday.
The food was a set meal every night which i didnt like so we ate out every night so it was a waste of money going half board.
The staff were really nice and very helpful and told me on my last day that if i didnt like the food they would have given me something different. We didnt spend too much time at the hotel and rented a car and most days walked down to beach.
The area here was fantastic and the nightlife in the centre was brilliant with loads of bars and just perfect for a couples holiday. We did have a fantastic holiday and i loved agios nikolaos. I would definetly come back here but wouldnt come to this hotel.

Advice: Fantastic area, hotel not really suitable for people with walking difficulties.

Activities: Rented the car and went to the cave where Zeus was born and went to the waterpark

Good for: Beach

" This hotel is small and the staff are... "

This hotel is small and the staff are very friendly. It is not a hotel for families, especially those with small children. The rooms are tiny with very little space to put clothing and other personal belongings. If you have a child you simply get a twin room, which is already very small for a couple, with an extra bed in it for the child. There is no room for suitcases and not enough room to walk around. The bathroom is totally inadequate. There is a loo, a sink and a shower hose on the wall! There is a small curtain to pull around a tiny square area of the floor in one of the corners of the bathroom. There are no shelves or space worth talking about to put any belongings. Everything in the bathroom gets wet. You would be hard pushed to have a decent wash. It is very basic and reminded me of washing facilities that you would expect to find in Greece 20 years ago! Overall this is not a hotel to go to if you want any form of comfort or privacy in your room during the day. The rooms are adequate to sleep in at night and that is about it. It is very clean. The hotel bar is very friendly and is, as other reviews say, warm and welcoming. The views from this hotel are stunning but all hotels in the area have similar views given this part of Crete is in the mountains and overlooks a beautiful bay. The breakfast is dreadful. It consists of bread, ham, cheese, olives, feta and cornflakes. None of the products used were particulary nice. The juice is a concentrated syrup based product, the ham is processed. We moved hotels after one day. Other adult guests at the hotel however loved it. I advise people to shop around before staying here. There are lots of hotels/apartments in this area.

" Hi stayed at lito for 2 weeks in... "

Hi stayed at lito for 2 weeks in aug/sep 05,enjoyed every minute
The staff were friendly and helpful (even tried to improve our limited Greek).

MARIA and ANNA on the reception were great they have all sorts of info about places to visit ,also we decided to hire a car the second week, I asked Anna and she produced a leaflet with approx prices, she phoned them and said they had an offer for us(better car, better deal) we agreed ,the car turned up at hotel we filled in the forms paid the price(very reasonable) then after 4 days they picked up car at prearranged time from hotel ,just left keys at reception EASY!!!

All the staff were GREAT, MANO and MICHEAL serving lovely meals from COSTAS the chef. The rooms were cleaned every day also beds changed daily, beds were firm to hard as stated previously, hotel cleaners did a marvellous job, wonderful views from all sides of hotel, our room looked out to mountains and was on ground floor so had a bigger balcony than upper floors, the hill to get up to hotel is steep and the steps are the last straw but i think in the end worth it for views, lovely bar near pool looked after by KATERINA who was trying to study (we kept interrupting for drinks). Cant praise it enough... Many thanks to all at lito for making it a holiday we wont forget.......del & carole ......
Just wish i could share some pics with you.
