Hello, my name is Lottie and i happened to stay in Cavo Bianco hotel last week with 8 of my girlie friends, it was by far the worst hotel i have ever stayed in expecially for an all inclusive deal. We asked for 3 in each room and we ended up getting a 4 a 2 and a 3, when we... more

When we first got there (really early) it was very nice, we was expecting to sleep in the office bit but no! When we phoned they said we might have to but we didn't, we had a room straight away! It was lovely, in the morning we went to the pool to chill and the pool was... more

Brilliant! APARTMENT - typically Greek - basic but clean, set in a green (as much as they had tried to get it green - poor old gardener was out every morning watering the grass and plants) grassed area with lots of pretty shrubbery. Towels changed twice weekly - shower... more

We have just returned from Cavo Bianco with our 3 children (aged 15, 12, 6) - and none of us wanted to come home! We only knew we were going to Cavo Bianco a couple of weeks before our holiday, due to our original holiday being overbooked. We were quite anxious, being... more

On arrival we upgraded to All-inclusive as did the majority of people, this is good value for money, but does tie you to the resort. Because of this most of the bars and restaurants have closed down, or have very little life in them, which is a shame. The resort needs some... more

My family & I visited Cavo Bianco in 2005. We were more than happy with the resort. We weren't too keen on going there at first because its next door to Kavos, once there we found that Kavos was a 20 mins walk away so there was no noise from any partying! The resort is... more

3 Stars- Your 'Avin a Laugh!
Cavo Bianco is a fantastic restort to stay on, located in a small town called St. Peters. Our apartment was interesting. Being 5 of us we really needed a big dinning area, but there was none. There was a small kitchen area (But because there was only one very small round table with 6 chairs we didn't need it), which included a fair sized, clean fridge, a microwave, a big sink and some storage areas. We had two bathrooms (fantastic!), which both had showers, sinks, toilets and cupboards. The beds wern't as wide as I would like, but were extremely comfy. The bedrooms where big, and the ground and first floors had doors to balconys, which both had a table, and 6 chairs between them. The maids cleaned every day (except for Sunday) and changed the bed linning every Monday and Thursday (apart from the day before we left). As for the actual site, wow! The pool was giant and not just a boring square, it was a sort of racing "track", shallow at one end, and extremely deep at the other. The pool bar offered a wide range of lunchs/snacks, and the all-inclusive drinks wristbands really were a great deal. (I am sure that soon Thomson will realise they are losing money from it [because it makes you drink more!] and will stop it) So make sure you take advantage of the wristbands for however long you are going. Remember- Childrens wristbands are cheaper! Every Monday the site hold a BBQ, worth every penny. You get two plates, one for salad, one for meat and hot food. Go up as much as you like :D. The restaurant on site is also extremely good. It offers a wide range of choice and is probably the best joint best place we ate on holiday (Sokratis is the other great place! 5 minute walk via the road, 1-2 minute walk via the beach). The site restaurant is slightly more expensive than the restaurants in St. Peters (fully expected) but the all-inclusive drinks can be used here (as well as the pool bar and the evening bar) and so the price balances out. The Kids Club was for under 12's, and so not used but us, but all the children seemed to fully enjoy themselves at it. We also did not use the tennis courts or play areas, but all looked to be of a high standard. I suggest that playing tennis should be done in the evening, or early morning (despite this being the most popular time) because it is too hot all of the other times. The Animation Team (the entertainment team) were extremely helpful, funny, fun and held activities in during the day, and did shows and entertainment at night. Some of the day time activities included: Beach Football/Volleyball, Water Volleyball, Killer Pool, Quizes, Kids Cabaret Rehersals and Beach Bowles. In the evening they put on various Cabaret Shows including a modern one, a musical one, and "oldie" one and a Las Vagas one. They also did Kids Fun Hour, Kids Cabaret, You Bet!, Backwards Bingo, Free Greek Night, Lucky 13(simple game and someone won 950 euros when we were staying there!), Disco Party Song Thing, Family Fortunes, The Generation Game and Quizes, plus many more things. (Thanks to Alan, Gina, Leanne, Darren, Lucy and Jane for all of this!) The reception area is always open (and I do mean 24/7!), it has 3 computers (I suggest using the 2 where you have to put coins in, don't use the one of the far right, just don't!), all with internet access, games machines, Toilets, plenty of tables and chairs and a Pool Table. The supermarket has all of you need, which is water, milk, coffee and tea, cereals, snacks and main meal things and sweets. It also has a rather large selection of gifts available, including pictures, shot glasses, jewlery, ornemants and greek sweets. The staff are friendly in the supermarket, which you can also buy inflatables and balls from for the pool. (Make sure you check the boxes next to the stage first! People who leave leave behind there: left over suncream, books, magazines, inflatables/balls, games and other various things). Cavo Bianco is the best Thomson site I have stayed on, and we practically go on one every year! 5/5 P.s. If you get a storm, while the rain is starting to beat down, go to the shop quick. On our last full day there was a flood, it never reached our apartment, but we were stuck in for about 2 hours board playing cards and travel Trivial Pursuit. Just a tip ;)
Absolutely Fabulous
My husband and I and our two sons, 18 and 14, have just returned from the Cavo Bianco Apartments in St Peters and we couldn't fault it. The apartments were wonderfully clean, and were cleaned 6 days a week. We had a two bedroomed apartment. My husband and I had the ground floor with a shower/toilet and small kitchenette while the boys had the upper floor with their own shower/toilet and a wooden staircase up to another bed. (bit too hot to sleep in that one as it was above the air con unit). The pool was spotless and was shut every night at 7pm and cleaned every morning before reopening at 10am. The grounds were beautifully kept. All the trees, flowers and shrubs along with the grass, were well watered daily. All the staff were really helpful and happy (especially the security guy on the gate - he was always ready with a smile for everyone). You can walk out of the back of the complex straight on to the beach, although you will need shoes as the sand is sooooo hot. Guy on beach with jet skis 35 euros for 15 minutes - we haggled with him and got them for 30 euros so worth a try. We ate in various places but you really couldn't beat the restaurant on the complex. My favourite dish was grilled shrimps, which turned out to be a kebab of Crevettes - fabulous. Do try Socrates just down the road, but a much safer walk along the beach. Mike is a bit overenthusiastic but they served up a mean mixed grill and if you like fish you must try the mixed fish dish. The reps were always on hand if you should need them and the children that came out of the childrens club always looked as if they had had a great time. The entertainment team were enthusiastic and very friendly, not at all pushy and laid on great shows in the evenings. They also gave out really useful information about temperatures, burn times etc. We would rate this 10/10 and will definitely be going back next year.
wicked
The apatrments or ok but they were very simple and could of done with a referbish or at least more cleaness. The entertainment was above excellant there was a great range of things to do during the day all the way to the evening. The restrarent at the hotel was good at pleasent staff to help you
Fabulous!!!!!
Just got back from a week in the Cavo Bianco..... Did NOT want to leave!!! (I think that says it all!!) Where to start? The beach was fantastic.... Sandy and clean, There was some excellent snorkelling to be had over to the left side by the boat hire where if you swim to the dark patches you will find a small coral reef covered in fish!! You can hire pedaloes, boats and jet skis (although they are v expensive... cheaper ones to be found in Kavos). The hotel was running a scheme where you pay 15 euros a day to have all inclusive drinks.... it abolutely made our holiday... the wristbands work in the resteraunt too... theres no limit on the drinks... we ordered 6 between the 2 of us every half hour!!! (Not sure how long this scheme will run tho cos they must have been getting rinsed!!) If no wristbands be prepared for extortionate drinks prices... 4 euros a pint, 5,70 a cocktail. The rooms were nice and clean... big rooms, bathroom basic but sink and shower is really all you need! also tastefully decorated which is a first for me in greece! The air conditioning was excellent but if you go in july or august you have to hire this which can be a little pricey. I cant say enough for the thomson reps or the entertainment team... Reps were nearly always about to deal with any queries, the entertainment team were fantastic... shows every other night, activities throughout the day, and always on hand for a quick chat or a drink... really made you feel at home. I am a wheelchair user and found the hotel fantastic, only fault was no disabled toilets, ramps were plentiful, and help was always on hand, all bathrooms come with a shower stool. Kavos was great fun, but go between about 8 and 2am... after this point the kids are paraletic and a complete nightmare! A taxi to Kavos is 6 euro, a cab to lefkimmi is 9... Ferries to mainland from lefkimmi are 4 euros!!! day trips run from kavos... theres about 10 + companies offering these (most about 24 euros).. we went to paxos and parga on these. Thomson run their own trips but these can be pricey (70 euros +) and the same ones are available in Kavos.. However insurance and medical help are much better on the thomsons and of course they are direct from hotel. Kids seemed to be having an absolute ball... the kids club team were always on hand... usually on their breaks but with at least 10 besotted kids in tow whom they were always happy to sit with etc.... the only age group that seemed to get a slightly raw deal were the teenagers, as they were too old for kids club and too young for kavos. The temperature was 100degrees all week except the last day when there had been a thunderstorm (understatement!!) in the night. The other group of people i would warn are the true self caterers.. if self catering to you means 'eat out' then go for it... The self catering equipment seemed fairly limited. But the hotel resteraunt and pool bar food were between good and fabuluous standard (lemon pork pot roast is a must!!), theres also a good selection of eateries in st peters 2 minutes up the road.. or a 5 minute swim up the beach!! DEfinitely give this place a visit... I promise you wont be disappointed.... We paid £200 a person (inc flights and transfers) and couldnt believe the gem we found!!!! Nb All my photos were taken the day after the storm... didnt see a single cloud the rest of the week!!
This is a must for families!!
We booked this with Skytours and thier brochure does not do this resort justice. If you have kids then please stay here we promise you wont be disappointed. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we had a brilliant time and cannot really fault the complex. It is set in lovely surroundings and althought the rooms are basic they meet your needs, however if I have to find one fault if would be the size of the kitchenette area and bathroom - very , very small. But you don't need tocook as the hotel is very reasonably priced about 12 euro for three courses. Yo will love the pool and beach and there is never a need to put your towels out early to get a sunbed! Best of all has to be Lianne and Gina who are the best entertainmet team I have come across, all day and night they really make your holiday special. I cannot fault Thomson as all the reps were great and the transfer time was a pleasant surprise as it only takes about 50 - 60 mins from the airport. Honestly you wont regret booking a holiday here and I know you will all have a great time. So book it now and I hope my words live up to your expectations.
Great for families
We are a lively and young couple who were looking for a holiday that allowed us to relax in the day and party at night, and that is exactly what we got. The appartments were extremely clean and the village itself is kept clean and pretty. The pool area steps straight onto the golden beach and the sea is crystal clear. The holiday reps play games and quizzes throughout the day while the entertainment and kids club reps play competitions and peform cabarets every evening. The entertainment on the village is fun and light hearted and ideal for families of all ages. If you are young and lively and want something a bit more extreme then a 20 minute walk will bring you to Kavos, the heart of club 18-30. On an evening the bustling bars and coctail bars are fantastic and offer competative prices. If you like to eat out then there are lots and lots of places to eat from a la carte restaurant to quaint tavernas, friendly pubs to fast food takeaways. The choice is endless and the selection is amazing. Overall we enjoyed our holiday and would have stayed longer if we could have! Our only advice would be to shop around. We found things cheaper in and around Kavos. We would come again, but in the peak of summer as it will be more lively on an evening for us in Kavos.
cavo bianco brill
it was our first hoilday abroad it was brill we were one of the first familys there my kids loved it, tony bin bag vickey all of um were brill the beach you can see from the pool kids are safe pool bar dear but we brought from the shop on site much cheaper for drink and ice cream we loved that much we going back this year so watch out tony binbag and everyone if you still there
Mixed feelings....
Well for Greek accomodation it was very nice, now my mother and i booked a week before we were due to fly out so we did not know where we were staying, heard we were satying Kavos my heart stopped. As for St Peters where is it?? a few shops and pubs, please if u do go to Kavos go into Corfu town it is much better. Cavo Bianco was really nice we had only about 30 others staying at the same time as us and we were first down every morning at 9.30am! The pool is big and plenty room to avoid being to close to others. The studio we got for the two fo us slpet 5 peopl had two floors and and extra wooden floor on second, we looked out into the sea and could see Greece mainland from out room. The village is really really good i could not fault it but two things got me. The passport thing and the safety boxes! Safety Boxes are in the reception area and we did not use them as felt safer carry everything around saying that had my most important document my Passport and would not give it me back, they needed it for "security" that they would get room key back at end of week. Now that did not suit and my travellers cheques are in my name and my mothers in hers we couldnt cash any unless in the Hotel! Holding your passport is illegal and i looked into this when i got home, if your going as a couple DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR PASSPORT, or they want 100euros for your passport which they keep if you lose room key. But in whole was the best and i would go back to Corfu but i think i will stick to the North of the island, Cavo Bianco is good but in a very wrong place. Reps where ok but the entertainment team where the best they even got me on stage and i do not normally do that sort of thing. Ps, we only paid £179 each so you get what you paid for...
A relaxing time at Cavo Bianco
My family and i have just arrived back from Cavo Bianco including my 3 children aged 9 , 5 , aged 3 and found it to be very relaxing holiday. We liked the fact that the beach was on the complex not far from the swimming pool and if you wanted drinks and snacks or the toilet you didn't have to walk far to these facilities if spending the day on the lovely beach which was clean, safe and quite shallow for the kids. The swimming pool was quite a good size so it did not get overcrowded.even though my kids did not join the kids club but i thought the reps were very good with all the children, as we often watched them playing beach volly ball with the kids and would of felt happy leaving my own kids with them. Also the same reps provided the entertainment in the evening which also was very good .They were friendly and approachable and very hard working and are a credit to Thompsons. We ate out a few times just outside the complex at a restaurant called The Garden of Eden which was ok otherwise we ate mainly in the restaurant inside the complex. The downsides to this holiday was the apartment as the kitchen consisted of a sink unit with two oven rings attached to the drainer and a cupboard above with a kettle on top .There was no where to prepare food if you had of decided to eat in and no eating area [ i had to warm my child's warm milk up in a frying pan ] so very basic utensils it also defeats the object of being self catering .The kitchen was the only part of the apartment which i found not to be that clean there was also no lounge area. just bedrooms. My husband loved this holiday as there were no shops in the area just bars and a few small supermarkets. Where as i like to brouse around the shops and the nearest was Corfu town which was just over an hour away and cost 65 euros for the five of us, or there is Kavos about a 30 minute walk away but was told to avoid this town as not really suitable for kids as it caters for 18-30 club. But overall if it is just a relaxing beach holiday you are after then this is the place.
Fantastic holiday!!! A report by a 13 yr old
I stayed at Cavo Bianco for 2 weeks, with my friend and her family, and all i can say was that it was a brill holiday! The location was excellent, as the beach was bang next to it! The sand though, can get really hot (so wear shoes!) The sea is warm and clear. If you go further up the beach, the sunbeds are free. We found this really nice reastraunt called Artemis. Its really relaxing, and you aren't pressured into ordering anything, we stayed there for nearly an hour just reading magazines and books! The people there are really nice too. They have a cute cat, but it likes to bite your toes! If you go to the beach, you have to go on the jet ski's they are so fun, and the ringos! The pool was very clean and fun for me. The entertainment was cool too. Thanks to Tony, binbag and vicky. They have kareoke nights and quizzes which are fun. They have things running in the day too, at the pool area. I wouldn't reccomend going to Kavos though, at night, because it smells bad of sick, the floors are sticky and everyone is stood on the streets crouwding you. We only went there once. Most pubs have free pool aswell. The greek nights are fun too, the best bit was at the end when we were smashin plates! The apartment was mostly clean, but the floor was a bit dirty. i would def reccomend this to evryone, its a real good place :)
