Staff were great but the room was not just damp but wet - walls were heavily covered in mould and i was ill for most of the 2 weeks that we were there. Unfortunately we got the 2 weeks when it rained almost every single day and it was auful - the paths around the studios were flooded and very slippery.
The smell in the room was dreadful - no wonder the doors and windows were all open on the night that we arrived. We had to tunr the oven and hob on all night long to keep the room relatively warm and then spent all day trying to dry it out again.
Property is obviously buiold on marsh land is needs to have the foundations sorted to prevent the damp coming into the ground floor rooms.
We did complain on more than 1 occassion to the staff about the room but were told that they were full and that there was no were else to go. We also complaint to the Rep and he said "my room is wet too - thats the way it is" (he was not staying in our complex).
All the other complexs in this off the main drag area were already closed down for the winter and it was very isolated.
This was our 3rd time to corfu and we had loved it there each time we had been previously but we will never go again late in the season and it is very unlikely that we will go to Corfu again as very disappointed.
Due to the lateness of the holiday the pool was freezing cold.
The bar/kitchen staff were very friendly and food was not too bad. always running out of draught beer and spirits as they were only buying as and when required.
- Advice: Keep to peak holiday months as cold and damp in the studios

I've just returned from 7 nights at the stemma apartments.....FANTASTIC! I've stayed in lots of accommodation in Greece and taken the good with the bad but this was just brilliant! Rooms are large and exceptionally clean. The staff are all so so friendly and helpful....it's like staying with family. Paula can cook like only your mum can and while the choice for evening meals is a little limited it's quality is superb....you have to try Paula's tzatziki!;) meals are cheaper than in the center too:) the pool are is ideal...big pool, lots of umbrellas and loungers and the pool area is gorgeous! The BBQ night is a treat...worth every penny. I can thoroughly recommend for families young and old and singles alike...perfection!:) We tried to think of a negative but couldn't!:)....book and you won't be disappointed. I've never written a review before but couldn't not share this gem with everyone after the week we had! Thanks to Paula and all the staff...hope to see you next year!:)

we booked this holiday late when we arrived on Friday we were greeted by the lovely Paula who took us to our room, however they had bad weather the week before and it was still raining up to the Wednesday, the thunderstorm on Sunday night was very bad and when my husband got out of bed to check the window was closed he stepped ito water coming in from the window it was also coming in under the door and was running through to the patio door, the room was very wet and damp, towels did not mope all the water up, we went and saw Paula who straight away gave us another room, but as we were on the 1st floor we did not expect the rain to come in. All the staff were wonderful nothing was too muchfor them to do, but the rooms do need updating and waterproofing, our room was not the only room wet and damp but the other people did not like to say anything. Best time to go there would be when its dry and sunny.

We stayed at Stema II for 14 nights self catering. If you are looking for clean, well maintained, comfortable accommodation near, but not in the centre of Sidari, then this is the place for you.
The team at Stema are outstanding. Nothing is too much trouble. Rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable and have all you would expect for self catering accommodation. There are mosquitoes at large in Sidari so taking the air-con at Stema at an extra 40 Euros per week is wise to keep you cool and the mossies at bay! There are safety deposit boxes available in reception also.
Stema has a fabulous warm (in August) swimming pool with carrying depths and a separate shallow pool ideal for toddlers. The food and drinks are excellent quality and reasonable priced at the hotel.
Sidari is a busy little resort with small sandy beach areas. The main street is busy at night and has plenty to offer in terms of bars, restaurants, shops and the odd play area. There are several restaurants on the main strip and near Stema which offer a sea view. Stema itself is located a 5 – 10 minute walk to the beach area and 10 – 15 minutes from the main street. Most restaurants are good but some particular favourites of ours include: -
Napoleons for great lunch and friendly service
Memories for great choice and a sea view
Shakers for traditional English pub grub
Athena for great food and service
Calypso bar for good food and good value
Three Little Pigs is definitely worth a visit as the entertainment is great but don’t be in a rush!!
Stema is a great family run hotel in a busy resort but just far enough out so you can get some peace too!

stayed at stema 2 apartments for 2 weeks end of may beginning of june, had a fantastic holiday, would definatley recommend this holiday to anyone. the studios/apartments are really big and very clean. the pool and surrounding areas were spotless, very big pool. the pool bar was really good, really nice food and fantastic people. Paula, the 2 Costas and Phil were so nice and friendly, ive been back a week and i miss them all so much. sidari itself is lovely, great restaurants, but can be abit pushy trying to get you into there restaurants. the Aqualand is really good, tip go on transfer days Monday and friday, as it is quieter and dont have to que for the slides. Corfu town is nice but be careful easy to get lost.also the trip to Paleokatstritsa & bella Vista is really nice to see all the views of the island. i will definately fo back to corfu and stay at the stema in Sidari again.

We stayed at the Stema II apartments in May 06. It is off the main resort road behind the Eastern beach, so is nice and quiet but close enough to walk into town. The apartments are set in a two-storey u-shape with the pool and bar area at one end. I remember the apartments being spaceous and very well kept and clean. The pool is large enough for the size of the complex and there is a guarded-off kiddy pool too. All of these would easily make a great holiday, but what wins it is the friendliness of the staff. they really made us feel welcome and could not do enough to make us happy, even laying on their own Greek Night entertainment and home-cooked food. Paula is wonderful! You really will get a sense of what real Greek hospitality is about.
We would recommend Stema II to families and couples who want the best of both worlds. Close lively nightlift when you want it, but just far enough away to ignore it when you don't.

we arrived at the stemma on 15th august for 2 weeks, me and my 15 year old daughtetr. the staff are very friendly, nikos, costas, nikki and paula. It only took us 50mins transfer as we was lucky and went straight to sidari, we spoke to some other familys there and the went the coastal route and took them about 2 hours to go there. the studio was very big and clean it had to rings a hob, toaster and cutlery. when arrived the room was very clean but the windows had been left open so the mozzies can get in. its about a 5 min walk to shops along a dirt track but can get another way, el greco is alright restaurant. I was very relieved when pulled up at stemma when stopping at other places. the food is very nice, had lunch there most days and a couple of breakfast's. the sunday night bbq is well worth going to, didnt wreckon to much too the food but the entertainment is real good, they got everyone up dancing. we hired a quad bike from roda, they picked us up from hotel and took us there and then when we finished with quad they picked it up from hotel, well worth getting one to get you out abit. rob was really good (the rep) really funny when doing bingo. deifnitely the place to go when going sidari !!
