We stayed at the voula apts June this year,we had a 2 bed apt on the top floor(room 9) & the views were amazing, especially the sunsets, we had 180deg view across the ocean, never have we stayed anywhere that came close to the service we received from this lovely family, nothing was to much trouble for either of them
the apts & the public area's were all kept very clean & tidy our apt was cleaned everyday & bedding & towels changed regularly
we would recommend this accomodation to anyone & hope to return again in 2011

First of all,the photo in the Olympic brochure does not do the place justice. It is quite an attractive place with superb views over to Delos from the pool and from SOME appartments. However, some appartments are buried deep within the complex, with no natural light, and have balconies staring at whitewashed walls. We felt like complaining because we were in no.13 but, after listening to fellow guests,we considered we had the best appartment and the best views. The resort is very quiet with only a small supermarket with limited supplies but,if you are prepared to walk,a better equipted supermarket is approx. halfway to Ornos (which is approx. 3 kilomtres from Agios Ioannis).Mykonos,IMHO,is a very overated island. There are only two major attractions - Mykonos Town and the "traditional" village of Anno Mera.Mykonos town is a very unique experience to walk around, with it`s sugar cube houses, with outside stairs to the bedrooms above, and picturesqe tavernas.Anno Mera,on the other hand,is classed as a traditional village but, with 7 or 8 tavernas around the village square,I don`t think so.However, the monastery just off the square is well worth a visit.Although Voula`s appartments is in a very quiet resort, the number of restaurants and Tavernas is also limited. The film "Shirley Valentine" was filmed there and there is a taverna,on the beach, that was actually used in the filming, but has a very limited menu.Vuola, the 72 year old owner of the appartments has a reputation for serving superb traditional greek food, but the Kleftiko she served us, on the only night we dined there, looked like something the dog chucked up on the patio. The Bellisimo taverna, about 100 metres from the appartments, toward the small harbour of Agios Ioannis, is the place we dined practically every night. It is always nice to walk past shops and to experience the nightlife after dining, but this is not the case at this resort as,if they had traffic lights, they would have switched them off at 4 in the afternoon. It is very quiet at night and Vuola wanted to shut the bar at 10 pm, to go to bed,Fortunately, she had working for her an Albanian? called Andreos, who very kindly kept the bar open until at least 2am. Public transport in Greece is excellent, with buses running every Half hour and at a cost of 1.40 euros no matter where you went.We enjoyed ourselves there for two weeks but,if you want to go to the Cyclades,go to Santorini. There are more places to visit and the scenery is outstanding.

What we wanted was a cheeky week away from the dross of Britain and that’s exactly what we got.
The island is mountainous and therefore there are numerous hairpin bends and zigzagging roads, our bus driver to the resort decided to navigate these roads whilst smoking a cigarette in one hand and talking on a mobile with the other!
It took about 1.5 hours to get from the airport to the resort but we were the first to get off.
Maria and Spiros who run the apartments are fantastic and nothing was too much trouble.
They met us on the driveway and welcomed us to our apartment that was basic but clean (cleaned 6 days out of the 7 we stayed). The view from our room was spectacular overlooking the pool and views beyond.
The pool was fantastic but extremely deep so non swimmers and children beware. The walk down to main resort area is down a winding hill which took us about 5 minutes.
We would highly recommend going to the Mango bar for drinks whilst watching the sun go down. We went at the end of the season and found this bar quiet and with great service.
There is definitely one restaurant to go to in the resort and that is "THE OLIVE PRESS.” The food and the service is simply amazing. Whatever you do avoid the Mexican restaurant on the high street next to Zorbas, it is the worst Mexican we've ever had (everything was microwaved and NOT freshly cooked) and was the most expensive meal in the resort.
We had a catamaran trip through Thompson which was simply amazing, stopping at private little coves for swimming. It was quite expensive €130 for 2 adults and although there was no proper lunch they were generous with drinks both alcoholic and soft and provided sandwiches and fruit salad (although of not the best quality).

My wife and myself booked a last minute deal on line with Thompson with "accommodation on arrival" our holiday commenced on 2nd September 2005 from Manchester, we were notified at the airport that we were to have two weeks at the Voula apartments. We were aware that they were at the top of the village as we visited the Barras apartments at San Stefanos some years ago.
Spiros, Maria and there team were extremely helpful and friendly. The food in there snack bar was equally as good as most of the restaurants in San Stephanos even if the menu was smaller.
Our apartment was on the first floor of the two storey building of six apartments, we had a sea view (room six) which was totally private.
We have booked many late deals mainly with Thomson and have always found the apartments clean and comfortable, with the owners or managers on hand to answer any questions.
Well done to Thompson and all at the Voula apartments, we will certainly return again. We walked about 100 miles during our two weeks stay, within 2-3 hours you can walk to Arrilas and St Georges North, or to Sidari in the opposite direction. There is a short 1/2 hour walk through the Olive groves down onto the nudist part of the beach.
Try it yourself you wont be sorry ( unless you are not reasonably fit.) If not why not hire a scooter, quad bike or car.

We have just got back from a week at the Voula apartments, We were made most welcome by both Spiros and Maria. The brochure photos in the Thomson ads do not do the Voula any justice. The views are spectacular and if you get room 10 or room 9 on the top floor, well it just doesnt get any better.
The apartments were kept clean and tidy twice during the week. Facilities are probably the best we have found in Greece.
The food service was quick and efficient, not bad either compared to some of the more expensive places around San Stefanos.
You can spend all day around the pool and bar area or walk down to San Stefanos.
Perfect scenery all around San Stefanos.
Only downside... Walking up and down the hill, and being visited by mosquitos.
Was definately the best holiday ever, and yes we would have to be mad not to go again.
