Stayed for 2 weeks at the Tsaros appartments in San Stefanos. Absolutely fantastic. Run by Nikos and his family. Spotlessly clean. Situated up a steep walk which on the first attempt was very tiring and daunting, but it does seem to get easier. Thannassis ( son of Nikos ) and Christina are really brilliant and a credit to tourism. Nothing is too much trouble, makes everyone welcome, and just because of this family we would return to the same appartments. The pool area, bar and snacks are great. The breakfasts are without doubt the best in the resort. The resort itself is very high in traditional values. 1st class taverna`s, excellent food, and truly friendly Greek people.

What a wonderful place San Stefanos is. Loads of top quality restaurants and providing excellent menus to choose from and very reasonable even considering the value of the Euro. Every where we went we were made to feel like friends returning. On food shopping - there are only the local shops which have limited stock but we used the restauants most of the time so it was not a problem.
On the Tsaros Apartments - we cannot fault them apart from the lack of air conditioning but we got used to that after a few days. The owner didnt speak a great deal of English but his son who ran the poolside bar did and also cooked the snacks. Again the prices were very reasonable and of good quality. The pool was always clean and well maintained with wonderful views over San Stefanos and the beach. The hill was a bit of a killer but again after a couple of days it got better as we got more muscles perhaps. Definitely returning again as its a wonderful place for the family.
The shops sell, for example, Chanel perfume for 5 Euros and top of the range French handbags and wallets in leather for the ladies/gents for around 15 Euros. But they can be cheaper in Corfu Town which is around an hours travelling time on the bus.

Clean and spacious apartments, made very welcome by the family and people who stay. The views and gardens just wonderful, very close to the beach. Only thing just a steep hill, but gets easier as the days go on, plenty of bars and shops on hand. But the pool side bar has a great atmosphere. Would go back every year, just one tip, if self-catering take some water and tea or coffee as nothing in the room. Thanassis, Nicos and family make you want to come back.

Really friendly atmosphere. Nice clean pool and bar to relax in, with good standard of food and drinks. Clean spacious apartments and balconies with lovely views. The whole resort is perfect for those who like beautiful scenery and good bars and restaurants to visit in the evenings. Not for those who want lively nightlife. Steep climbs would make it unsuitable for anyone with mobility problems, but I can't wait to go back.

Just returned from a 2 week summer break at the Tsaros apartments in San Stefanos, and we had a wonderful time.
We could not have asked for a more friendly and welcoming atmosphere by the apartment owners/family. The rooms were spacious and very clean, but air conditioning would have been a benefit due to the heat of August.
We are already considering a return for 2007. Overall well recommended.
