the best holiday i have ever been on. i plan to return again in the near future. there was nothing i didnt enjoy or like about the place - everything was perfect. clean rooms, tidy complex, friendly staff. and we even got champagne on ice on our arrival! :) entertainment was great every night, something for every member of the family. everything was so close by to this hotel, so we went on plenty of outings and trips. i don't have any idea how anyone could say they didnt enjoy their stay here! food was fab too, a little something different everynight.

The hotel itself was'nt too bad. There was lots going on for the kids but the food was the worst we have ever tasted. After 3 days we started to eat out. The location was a good walk to the beach but was close to some good kareoke bars and a good cafe around the corner that served a good breakfast. The best part of the holiday was portaventura. the rooms were clean and staff very friendly. if you like nice food then dont go here!

Accommodation fairly basic and old but clean. The food is poor. Choice is poor and unless you get it straight from the kitchen is cold as it isn't kept warm.
Staff are friendly and helpful (except the Thomsons reps who are the worst I have ever seen.
Pool area is pretty decent but on a lower level than the main hotel reception area and if you have a wheelchair or pushchair rely on the two lifts which serve one of the 2 blocks. This means you may have quite a wait. The entertainment in the hotel is acceptable and bar prices reasonable.
However, the reason for the low score is they take in school children. And when I say that I mean hundreds. I would estimate there is around 400 at one time, and they run wild unsupervised throughout the hotel all hours. I am not anti kids (we had 4 in our party) and we did see one party of kids supervised and well behaved (a credit to their school) but the majority ran wild throughout the hotel with no respect to anyone.
I would recommending avoiding at all costs for this reason.

this was my third year at this hotel with my family and all i can say as it is still brilliant!! in the 2nd building i would say the corridors could do with being redecorated however this is only a minor thing!
everything else from entertainment to food were all brilliant!!!
booked up for july this year 2008!!! which will make this our 4th year in a row! if this doesn't prove this is a brilliant hotel i don't know what will...
Also for anyone that has been this year so far? do you know what reps are there? or if Tori is still there.... ?

I went hear for a family holiday just for a break really and love it, although the hotel was no my usual cuppa tea i thought the entertainment and staff were good. Room was a little small for 3 of us but we enjoyed the holiday over all. Drinks was not included with half board meals but on a overall review we all enjoyed it.

The hotel was very nice, although the food was absolutely disgusting. There was a wide variety of food but the only decent food was bread and chips. I was with my school and our balcony was above a bunch of Spanish teenagers who partied until the early hours of the morning. The pool was freezing and the bed sheets were jaggy. The hotel was clean although the odd cobweb. I spent about 50 Euros on food and drink because it was limited. The vending machines just ate all your money, and some of the hotel staff were ignerant!!!!!
If you want an enjoyable holiday save yourself money and DON'T go there!!!!!!!

This hotel hasn't change since i went in 2002, noisy, food okish, we were given room right at the top, which the lifts didn't reach to, and we had a 6 month old baby, with a pushchair to carry up there.
Close to Salou, and we did enoy the holuday overall, but the same niggle we had in 2002 are still apparent now.
Thought about going again, but bit put off by reports of cage nightclub there !!, think i will go to benidrom instead

Holiday was very good went with my girlfriend. Food was very nice at dinner there was alot of choice from soup, salad, kids meals, a variety of 3/4 different meals per nite. Breakfast was very nice always a good choice.
Accomdation was very spacious for 2 of us, big room, corridors are a bit shabby but u dont stay in corridors so not a problem.
2 very good pools,
entertainment was very good but can be bit loud if u room is above the main stage normally finishes by 12.
All in all i would recommend this holiday to both familes and couples.

Very clean and tidy. Wicked food and beach only a 5min walk away. Very clean rooms and clean beds every day. If you’re looking for a family holiday then definitely go here.
The reps are brill and sort everything out. They do loads of trips and they are very good.
There are 2 pools and a bay pool. The restaurant is massive and sells all different sorts of food. The entertainment is fab and gets both the kids and adults involved, during the day there are loads of fun and games for yet again both children and adults.
The arcade big and has its 2 own bowling alleys. Right outside the hotel is a train that takes you to the town of Salou which you can find brill shops.
To sum it up all I can say is MINT!!!

Well the hotel overall was really good
I’m 13 and we went on a school trip we stayed for 5 days. They were really helpful when our shower broke and as soon as we told staff at reception someone came and fixed it straight away. The hotel did have its faults but what hotel doesn’t?
I did not really like the food; there was a wide variety but the food was not very nice; I ate pasta for dinner and lunch.
The hotel was good at accommodating us as there were 44 of us so there was 4 in each room so they gave us 11 bedrooms all on the same floor which was better for the teachers.
The entertainment was funny but the discos did start late which was a bit of a down fall as we had to go bed around 11pm.
The pools were really good and the park it accommodated for all ages. The hotel was good I would highly recommend it. That is why I gave it a rating of 8 out of 10.

just back from the calypso. it was our second time at the hotel and we all really enjoyed our break. the rooms were clean and tidy and we got fresh towels and linen everyday. food was ok. we went to the alfresco restaurant which just openend last month and it has to be reccomended. food there was really nice and the staff and waiters very pleasant. the entertainment team were exceptionaly hard working and the shows at night were excellent. the only down side was the bus loads of spanish schoolchildren who use the hotel in june and july can be very ignorant and noisy.
