Castello Hotel
A small, comfortable and friendly hotel, pleasantly refurbished in the Venetian style. Offering excellent and modern standards, it is tucked away down a small side-street, just behind Doge's Palace, a 10 minute walk from St. Mark's Square and close to the Bridge of Sighs. A great hotel to make your base as you set off to explore the sights, sounds and tastes of this colourful and spectacular city.

Very Pleasent hotel which is beautifully decorated. Rooms are spacious and clean. In a good location as it is a few minutes from st marcs square so you are away from the noise. However it is also right next to a noisy restaurant which opens very early. Although we found it funny on the first morning with two larger than life italian men shouting obcenities at each other about tomatoes, this grew annoying when you wanted a nice lie in! Situated close to some lovely shops and restaurants. You can also book excursions from the reception, we would reccomend the Ghost Trip from the Rialto bridge and the boat trip to the Murano Glass factory, it was lovely! Staff were always lovely and the food was nice, would definatley stay here again, but maybe learn some italian to shout back at the chefs next door!!!
