i returned yesterday and after reading others thoughts i was put off but i had a good experience and think its better then what people say i loved it and am plannin to book again for next year the staff are polite and the entertainment is also good especially for kids

stayed at hotel cala font for a week from 24th june 2006, hotel was very clean and tidy, staff very friendly. Good pool area and the resort itself, which is actually in cap salou - hilly and about a 20 minute walk into salou itself. Rooms were cleaned every day and the maids could not be faulted. Entertainment for adults was poor, but for kids very good - the kids entertainment team were excellent. Arrived at on 28th June 06 for a week with my two sons. We enjoyed this hotel very much. We couldn't fault the cleanliness at all other than tripping over cleaners at all times of the day. Wouldn't have it any other way though. Maid made up beds and cleaned room every day. Food was good but suspect we would've been fed up with it if we stayed another week. Excellent hotel, brilliant for familes as there is entertainment every evening. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. When we arrived we asked for a fridge in the room and it was there within 1hr (only 4 euros a night), safe also available at 4 euros a night. We had a holiday at the Cala Font Hotel in May 2006, we thought it was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful especially the staff on reception. The hotel facilities are good and the food not bad. The hotel is in a wonderful position, situated by a lovely beach. There are some good eating places and bars very close by and the whole area is excellent for children. Just back from this hotel after a weeks holiday. Read a some bad reviews before i went but when i got there it was grand. Great sea views from most rooms. Beach only 25 metres away fromt the hotel door. All the staff that i met were very friendly and willing to help with any problems. Good selection of food to satisfy all tastes and it was all hot and well cooked unlike some of the reviews on this site. Arrived late sunday evening and check in was quick and easy. The hotel is situated on a hill. When going to the beach if you go through the swimming pool side gate it cuts alot of the hill out before reaching the beach! The food is hot and plenty. Before putting new food out, the cook takes the old away so not to mix the old and new together. Just got back today after a weeks half board at the Cala Font. The hotel itself far outweighed our expectations. The rooms were good & cleaned every day. I won't believe a travel agent again. Because nine times out of ten they will say they have been there and enjoyed it. ([--]). On first sight of this hotel you would think boy im in for a good time. Stayed in the Cala Font last July, had booked half board so food was included. Was very dissapointed with the standard of food. One morning we went down for breakfast and there was red scrambled eggs. Although they had a good selection of foods, it just seemed to be the same old style day in. We went to the Hotel Cala Font in Cap Salou for 2 weeks. Our party consisted of me my mum and my 14 year old daughter. A bit hilly round the hotel. The dining hall was quite large but the food was never hot and there was only 1 microwave. They were very slow at clearing tables and most of the time we ended up doing it ourselves.
