Submitted By: Ms A BallAccommodation: The room was cleaned every day. The beds were very small and very uncomfortable but we got used to it after a few nights. We had paid for a balcony room (all those moaning about not having a balcony should have paid the extra £16!) and were given one overlooking the front of the hotel. It wasn't the best view but there wasn't much noise which was good.
Food: The food wasn't the worst I've tasted in an all inclusive hotel. When you book into a 3* All inclusive, you shouldn't expect 5* food. Yes it was repetitive and yes several people were ill, but these were the people eating to excess and eating the more dodgy looking food!!! I stuck to soup and salads with toast for breakfast and was fine. We chose to eat out quite a lot though as we like to get out and not just stay in the hotel.
Staff: The reception staff were very friendly and spoke good English. The majority of the bar staff were friendly. Yes there was the one miserable one that everyone seems to have identified but so what?! She wasn't rude, just miserable! Although she did shock me by saying more than 2 words to me on one occassion!!!!
Overall I would say the hotel was cleaned to a good standard; the staff were friendly; and the location okay (as long as you don' mind the 15 minute walk to the bars/restaurants and shops.) I personally wouldn't go back but think for what it cost, it was okay.

Submitted By: kezzathe room was cleaned every day. The weather wasn't the best while we were there but unlike last time we went, there was a entertainment team which made all the difference who worked hard to help you enjoy yourself even tho it was raining.
the food was as expected like last time ok but having been to other hotels now the choice is a bit limited but it was still nice.
there was still a sickness bug going round the hotel while we were there but luckily we were all ok.
the little cove beach which is next to the hotel is still as lovely as i remember, and altho it does get jelly fish, while we were down there we did not see any altho we wern't down there much due to the weather.
I would recomend this hotel for people with young familys as with the kids club and the beach close there is always something for them to do.

Submitted By: Miss A BarnardThe hotel was clean and tidy... a little paintwork needed but then we chose to go at the end of the season. I have never seen the cleaner cleaning so thoroughly!!! Washing the balcony windows every day?!?!?! Madness.... but good.
If you read the information they give you then they are trying to be a little greener. It does state that if you want your towels changed then you do need to put them in the correct place on the floor. They are trying to save the world as well!!! be realistic.....they also state that you should not waste food and drink... this is good, i did see people pileing up their plates but you should just remember that you can go up and get some more again.... there is plenty to go round! Many people have complained about the food... like I said before be realistic they are trying their best to give us British food in a different country so expect it to be a little different! Plenty of choice, and ALWAYS hot! They were bringing new trays out before the old one was even finished....!
We had booked a room for 2 people but found ourselves in a room for 4 people with a sea view so we had enough space and the bathroom was really good with a really hot shower and with a bonus bath that you don’t normally get!
Just to point out that the people who have said that there wasn’t even anywhere for them to dry their swimming clothes because they didn’t have a balcony....... read what you booked!!!!! You pay for a balcony so..... If you don’t pay.... I would have probably said that maybe you wont get on if you didn’t pay for one?!?!?!.....
We did also witness someone at reception complaining about some complaining.... come on guys!!! Your just wasting time!
Holiday was great, food was great a little repetitive but good, beach was close and good, entertainment was good even though we always gave up half way through every quiz because we were rubbish! I would advise people who are staying here to just take a small walk to cala forcat....great for kids in the day and evening it has shops and bars, Water Park and kids play areas.
Don’t expect luxury... u didn’t pay the price of luxury... great value for money :D

Submitted By: Mr J Emmertonentertainment: they tried there hardest but to be completely honest for a young family it w3asnt great, the kids club ill give 10/10 for effort and kept my kid happy.
warning... there wasnt one person i spoke to who didnt have the runs, we thought it might be the ice in the drinks as it was made from there water, or it was the food as some of it was cold and if left unchanged flies went on it... (but in a hot country u cant expect a few flies they did do there ebst to get rid of them as there wasn't many)
there was the manager there who bossed around all the staff by shouting, and it was over the whole room, also he would watch you like a hawk untill you finished eating
alot could be improved in this hotel

Submitted By: Ms K O''CONNORThe hotel itself is very clean, the food of a good standard with a good selection; generally 2 meat dishes, a fish dish, vegetarian option and either a pasta or rice based dish on offer for lunch and evening meal, snacks available at other times and a childrens menu early evening.
The staff were all friendly and welcoming, the entertainments team were excellent especially Adam who kept everyone entertained with his antics. Travelling alone with a young child the Kids Club was a god send, my son thoroughly enjoyed the activities and the club itself was extremely well organised, I felt happy that my son was well cared for giving me some time to myself to relax.
My only other gripe was the inadequate number of sun loungers, one morning I went out at 09.05 am and there was only 1 lounger left, there were a few people sitting on loungers but the remaining ones were all occupied by towels, this is despite the fact that hotel info states any towels left on loungers before 9am would be removed, all I can say is there must have been a mad dash at 9am ( Bit like the Next sale!!!!!!!!!!!) We ended up sitting on towels on the grass area where several loungers remained occupied by their towels for the entire morning and much of the afternoon!!!!!!!!!!!! However on about our 3rd day there seemed to be a delivery of new loungers so hopefully this situation has improved.
The resort itself is pretty quiet, only a few shops and bars, the beach which is situated a short distance from the hotel is very pleasant but small.
Generally we enjoyed our holiday here, as a woman travelling alone with a young child I felt safe in this resort, with hindsight I should have booked a room with a balcony, and I'm glad I took the advice of another reviewer and packed my ear plugs!!!!!!!!!!!!

Submitted By: Miss C AbbottThe Kids club was fantastic, the entertainment during the day and at night was enjoyable, Adam out did the two girls by far he was always making jokes and kept everybody in the holiday spirit.
The food and the amount of it was unbeliveable, you where spoilt for choice!!!
You never had to wait for more than a coulpe of minutes to get your meals or drinks, The local beer is San Miguel, the cocktails aren't really up to much but there is plenty of other options. The lights are turned of at midnight on the dot but you are allowed to sit in the reception area after this and finish your drinks.
The pool area was always very clean and there is a life guard on duty every day, you where only allowed to use inflatables for 1h 30 min as the pool is quite small. There never seemed to be a shortage of sunbeds as there was grassed areas as well as the poolside.
The room was lovely and clean the maid changed the towels and made the beds up every day, the t.v had BBC1, 2 and Cebeebies, we had a lovely see view from our balcony and some of the rooms on the second floor had a great big terrace.
All the staff where friendly and polite except one!!! One of the female bar staff hardly ever smiled and she really came across as misrable and she did put a bit of a downer on going to the bar!!!
Overall it was great value for money and I'm sure we will be staying at this hotel again, it really is a great choice for families with children of all ages.

" We stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks... "
Submitted By: Mrs A NutmanWe did get a little bored on the cloudy/rainy days as there was not much to do in Cala N Blanes resort except walk 10 mins down to the resturants and shops. As with any all inclusive hotel the food got really repetitive by the 2nd week but we expected it to be like that. Overall we said that it was a lovely, clean hotel and that we would stay there again, but maybe for 1 week instead of 2.
