We had room 325, a one bedroom self catering apartment (only booked a studio so very pleased). It had a balcony and also a large patio window overlooking the pool as it was a corner apartment.
The apartment facilities were on par with other self catering accomodation we have stayed at. The pool area was very clean as were the other public areas and the apartment itself, with daily visits from the cleaner. Very friendly, helpful staff,
There are many restaurants on the strip outside the apartment. We would recommend Phukhets for chinese/thai food. Very nice. The choice of bars for us in our thirties were a bit limited (to quiz night & bingo etc).
A 25 minute walk takes you to the harbour and many more bars and restaurants, including 'bar street' with more young and lively night life. We would recommend The Moorings restaurant at the harbour for good priced, large choice menu.
This area was a bit further out than we expected, however, buses are regular and reliable and a single fare was 1 euro or a daily pass was 2 euros so easy and cheap enough to get to. A taxi back was 8 euro or a sobering walk back after the busses stopped at around 11.30pm.
A great weeks holiday in lovely surrounding , highly recommended.

- Advice: the sunbeds at the shallow end of the pool get the sun all day long from 10am ish.

Not sure what hotel those who complained saying it was a filthy hotel were staying at, certainly not the Tasmaria. The hotel was very clean, the pool was supreme, and the rooms were in top condition, and cleaned almost every day. The staff in the hotel were very polite and helpful with any questions, a family atmosphere for sure.
Light entertainment almost every night, including a bird show! We didnt see any cats in the week that we stayed. Only 10 mins from the beach if that, 15-20 from the harbour and a lot of fantastic restaurants in the area. We would happily return again, thank you the Tasmaria!

When staying at the Tasmari hotel, I found the studios very unclean, the food was limited. The staff were unhelpful and rude. I was disgisted the way a young couple were treated, their studio was broken into, with several valuables stolen such as ipods, jewellery and a laptop. The manager was not at all helpful with the couple, saying there was no forced entry, he then evicted the couple. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone taking anythin valuable, as the studios are not secure. When speaking to a resident who was a restaurant owner, he said he was well aware about the hotel, and would not recommend the hotel, it gives cyprus a bad reputation and should be closed down.

We are 2 women friends who try to take a holiday together once a year; the Tasmaria apartments is the worst place we have ever stayed.
The apartment was badly maintained with bits falling off cupboards etc. But worse, the place was filthy. The bathroom was dirty; the toilet was badly stained and looked as if it had never seen a cleaning agent at all. When taking a shower the bath filled up with dirty water, as the plug was blocked with at least ten years worth of hair.
The sheets were grey and stained and the mattresses and pillows were stained. The towels we were given on arrival appeared not to have been washed as they smelled terrible. When we asked for clean towels the woman in charge was down right nasty.
The towels were only changed twice a week, but apparently this is Olympic Holidays policy! There was a large ball of hair floating round the bedroom left by the cleaner from the previous clients. In fact it seemed as if the apartment had not been cleaned after the previous clients.
We spilled some juice on the balcony and tried to clean it up as best we could, but it was never cleaned up by the cleaner. The view from the balcony was of wasteland / car park which we had in common with the rest of the apartments, as the Tasmaria is surrounded by wasteland / car park type land.
The area round the pool was covered by a strip of green hairy fabric which was slimy and slippery. This is a wonderful breeding ground for bacteria, as it is always warm and wet. I came home with a toe infection which after numerous courses of antibiotics is still with me.
The Tasmaria is on the Tomb of the Kings Road with its restaurants catering to English tastes (tourist pap, no chance of authentic Cypriot food here) and Irish and karaoke bars.
The good points about Paphos are: the bus service which costs only 80 cents to go anywhere in Paphos; the harbour area with its seafood restaurants especially "Theos" and the boat trips; the archaeological sites which are well worth a visit; Coral Bay, a 20 minute bus ride from the town but worth it for the lovely beach with good facilities.
We suggest that anyone visiting Paphos should hire a car for at least a couple of days, as it's impossible to get out of Paphos unless you pay lots of money for organised tours!

The apartments were very clean, tidy and spacious. Maid service was often. The air conditioning was only available in the bedroom which was the only down side.
Paphos itself was very nice and has plenty of bars and restaurants for most people's liking. The Tasmaria is ideally situated for those who want an abundance of shops and bars at their front door.
The harbour is lovely and only 20 mins walk away from the apartments. The pool area is ideal for keeping an eye on the kids and has many sun beds available. The hotel staff I found to be very friendly and accommodating and overall really enjoyed my holiday in Paphos.

We have just literally come back from a great holiday in Paphos where we stayed at the Tasmaria.
To start we stayed in the apartment (2-4 people) so I can’t really comment on the studio rooms as they have not been seen but they can’t be much different. I would like to say that the beds are not uncomfortable at all, I’m one that loves my own bed, but the beds were fine, I was worrying a little after reading that review thinking it would be springy!
The hotel rooms are generally very basic, but who stays in the hotel room? They were clean, bed sheets were changed every two days, and the maids would come in and give you fresh towels and wash all the floors for you. I liked the fact that everyone was so friendly there, not just the hotel staff but all the restaurant staff as well.
On our 1st night we stayed at the hotel in the evening and sat down at the bar/pool area, it was nice with a friendly atmosphere, where you could easily relax and have a few games of pool and have a few drinks. From our experience I would recommend a definite visit to Fat Mamma’s restaurant, it’s not far from the hotel just a 2 minute walk, right of the hotel. If you’re a looking for a good bar I would recommend The Outback Pub, this is an Australian bar run by auzzies themselves. It’s always a good atmosphere, often with live bands and karaoke nights.
For days out I would advise a trip to Tomb of the Kings, again this is only a walk away from the Tasmaria and is sign posted. I would advise to wear very good grip shoes and not go on a wet day! Some of the steps are dodgy and very easy to slip on so take care with that. Also be careful where you are walking as there are some large ditches and holes! There is also a good water park called Aphrodite Water Park which you can catch a bus to for 80p and the cost is refunded there if you present your bus ticket. There are some good slides, rivers and pools. A good day out for a family. I would advise a trip to the harbour as well, you can catch the number 15 bus to get there although it isn’t far. You can get some nice gifts and very cheap designer perfumes and after shaves (only £6.50!!) also you can do water sports and go in a glass bottom boat here.
Any way I have nattered on enough now! I will upload some photos too for you all but I hope you all have a good time!

Had a very nice relaxing holiday here.
Place is what you would expect - not flashy perhaps, but nice-looking, clean and the atmosphere hospitable.
Comfortable pool area. Close to the municipal beach and bus stops, car rent next door. Lots of restaurants just steps outside. If we would go to Paphos again, would gladly stay there again, no complaints about anything whatsoever.
Thank you!
