" beautiful place "

The Chia Laguna Resort is a perfect place for relax, eat Sardinian delicious specialities, go to the beach..and wath a beach!
And play golf for the ones who like to.
It is not Le Meridien anymore but it is now part of the Grand Heritage american chain.
I spent my days in the fantastic white sand beach and i also play golf, there's a good pro who gives private lessons.
There are lots of activities, like tennis, football and lots of things to do also at the beach, like beach volley, beach tennis ecc..
And for dinner we had the choice between 6 or 7 restaurants, we tried 3 of them which were really good , really fantastic sardinian tipical food.
From our room we had a wonderful view of the sea and the laguna.
I had a great time at Chia Laguna Resort

Good for: Beach

" we have just spent a week at the Chia... "

we have just spent a week at the Chia Laguna resort in southern Sardinia.
we wanted a quiet peaceful week away with no stress and this was the most delicious place.
Even though there were quite a few 'toddlers' around, the resort is so spaced out, like a little village that you never ever felt any where was crowded.
The food and service were amazing, and the beaches nearby, served by a regular 'train' were clean and stunning.,and by one in the afternoon, virtually empty and all this half an hour fromthe airport.
there is a promenade of shops at the resort, quite pricey, but very upmarket.
this is total escapism and there were plenty of honeymooners there too, so quite a mixed bag.
i should think that we will be returning.

" My husband and I stayed at this hotel... "

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 10 days for our honeymoon in September 2006. We decided to book directly with the hotel and to find our own flights due to our budget.

The hotel is 40-60 minutes away from the airport (depends which taxi driver you have!) and the initial experience of the hotel is beautiful.

We had the suite superior which had a large airy bedroom, with air-conditioning, a separate lounge area and a bathroom. This room was on the edge of the hotel and considered the best room in the hotel.

It is ten steps from the pool and with a wonderful view of the beach, just a few minutes walk away. The rooms are very clean and are cleaned and tidied every day. The TV has limited channels and just one in English - News 24!

The breakfasts were of a buffet style with a good selection of food, and dinner was served at the table, which you had to go back to the same table every night, and was generally very good.

The pool is surrounded by grass, which we noticed took the gardeners approx. 3 days to cut!

Unfortunately, we went in September which was the wrong time of year to see the famous flamingos in the lake next to the hotel, but the sheer size of the never ending beach, the quality of sand and beautiful clear sea made up for this ten fold.

The hotel, unless you have a hire car, is in the middle of no-where and so is a great place if you want to do nothing for your holiday, and is very peaceful, with just one local shop that sells ice creams, sandwiches and Italian newspapers!

Overall the stay was really relaxing and we had some lovely walks.
