My two teenage sons (19 and 16) and I have just returned from a fantastic week at this wonderful hotel run by brothers Yiannis and Nicolas. They and their staff go the whole nine yards to make you feel at home and part of the family, and we met many guests who return year... more

Just returned from the Anais Bay Hotel and our first visit to Cyprus. Can't praise the hotel enough. A family run hotel which is spotlessly clean and the staff are just so helpful, we would definitely return. We asked the reception staff directions to our car hire company... more

Anais Bay is situated on the outskirts of Protaras, a stones throw away from a small but very pleasant beach with plenty of water sports and a short walk from shops and bars. A short bus ride will take into the center of Protaras with more night life and more shops. The... more

Family run hotel, very friendly. You get that personal touch that you will not receive in the big, faceless hotel chains, even 4 and 5 stars. The breakfast is cooked to order from continental to whatever you require, up to full english. Very well cooked with fresh produce,... more

We stayed at the Anais Bay for 4 nights whilst on an inspection trip with MRI properties and the hotel was lovely. A lovely looking hotel not at all like your usual high rise building. It's very near the beach and only a short walk from bars and restaurants. The bus... more

My girlfriend and I had a lovely time at the Anais Bay. The hotel was great and all the staff were friendly. The room was kept clean with a daily maid service. The pool bar was handy as we hit a heat wave and we usually had waiter service depending on the barman's mood. I... more

Hidden gem of a hotel - had a fab time!!!!!
Stayed for 2 weeks from 15th September 07. Was a little dubious as I am used to large 4 & 5 star hotels but i was very pleasantly surprised. A small family run hotel which offers good priced accomodation and a very friendly atmosphere. Carmen the waitress is fantastic!!! Some occassional evening entertainment which was nice, all meals served under their fantastic vine covered pergola, buffet breakfast which consisted of cold meats/cheese, fruit and yoghurt plus full english option and toasting machine. We were half board and although we did eat out with friends a few times we found the hotel food was nice and served to you at the table which made a nice change from the usual hotel buffet services you get at the larger hotels. Choice was limited though to just 2 options for starter, main and desserts. Pool area was nice and clean with a small kids pool but no children there when we were there (pure bliss!!!). Close to the beach of Anais Bay which gets quite crowded so we stayed by the pool mostly but there were always sunbeds available virtually anytime of the day, however I can imagine it may be a different story peak season. Hotel rooms could do with a bit or smartening up but are quite adequate with satellite tv, full bathroom, beds a bit hard and no hairdryer but did us for 2 weeks. Air con a bit noisy and not very cold. Overall we had a lovely return trip to wonderful Cyprus (our 4th visit) and for what we paid we were more than happy. We found a lot of the other guests staying to be of the older generation which was lovely as they were all really friendly and they all seemed to be enjoying their holidays too. A lot of guests were repeat customers so that has to say a lot for the Anais Bay hotel.
quiet and friendly
we stayed on the top floor with sea view, beutiful. rooms were clean. air con could do with upgrading as not very cool after being on for a while. lovely relaxed atmosphere and staff very friendly. food lovely. breakfast was sufficient, cooked english to continental. no queus as small hotel. loved the area.
very nice
nice and friendly ,nice food, clean had a good time the beach was not very good was that dirty sand and stones other than that it was very nice
Lovely Friendly Hotel
I have just arrived back from Anais Bay. This was our first time to Cyprus. The staff are very lovely and friendly. The food was excellent. Breakfast included full english, fruit, cereal. The rooms were clean and maids came in everyday. Air Con was a bit noisy but needed. Well worth paying for a sea view on the top floor. It's in a lovely quiet location, great sandy beach very close with supermarkets. You are able to catch the Yellow Boat trip which cost 10.00 c£ each this was the best day out well worth the money included drinks, salad roll, also being able to use water scooters in the clear blue seas. There are a few bars down the road and great eating places by the hotel. Protaras Centre with lots more available and louder attmosphere 4 c£ by taxi, flintstones, divas excellent eating places. Aiya Napa cost 8c£ by taxi very busy by 12am clubs shut around 5am. Fig Tree Bay the best beach ever with reasonable water sports available. Would go back and stay here again!
Lovely Hotel- made the holiday special!
This was my first time in Cyprus, and after reading some reviews on other websites that were a little on the negative side, we were prepared for it possibly not being the best hotel- we were wrong! The hotel is very small, but because of this there is a lovely atmosphere with all the guests greeting each other and the staff getting to know you personally. Although the staff are Cypriot, they are good English speakers and will go out of their way to help fill any request you have- they even gave us our room for an extra 12 hours on the last day because we had late flights!! The pool is beautiful, very well looked after and really quiet. Lovely home-cooked food is cooked for round the pool if requested. We stayed half-board and the food on the evening was lovely, three course and always served by friendly staff. I am a very fussy eater and even though the menu's are set, I was given different meals on several occasions for a meal I'd rather have, at no additional cost. Also, the eating area is at the back of the hotel and have grape vines above with grapes that you can eat on them giving it a lovely traditional feel. The rooms were lovely, always clean and there was air-conditioning for the warm Summer nights. Possibly the only thing that wasn't as good as eveything else was the choice of breakfast but that's because i'm fussy- they had Ebglish breakfast foods, toast and cereals, and cakes and lots of fresh juice. All in all everything was wonderful and the location of the hotel is great for a 2 minute stroll to the beach of the nearest shops. If you are looking for a holiday in Cyprus, somewhat removed from the likes of Aiya Napa, then this place is great and close enough to everything you will need. If you would like a loud hotel, close to clubs this is probably not the one though. I would definately go back, and am planning to this year!
even better than before
We have just had our fourth holiday at Anais Bay and this year was even better than before. We met people there from previous years and had lots of good fun with them and the staff. The hotel is very clean, the rooms are pleasant and the food is very good. The owners are so helpful and give a very warm welcome to everyone. There is a nice beach just about 100 yards away and there is a charge for the loungers and umbrellas but it is very relaxing by the hotel pool as well. The shops and bars are a couple of hundred yards away and there is a bus service into Protaras, Ayia Napa, Larnaca etc. We will hopefully return there next year.
Expensive 3 Star
Stayed at this hotel for one week from 7th May 2006. Dont pay the supplement for a seaview room because the hotel is not on the seafront. You can only just see the top of the sea from your balcony. Rooms were clean although I dont feel that the floors had been cleaned everyday and definately not in the bathroom. Bathroom desperately needed refurbishing, especially the shower curtain (smelt). Poor example of a breakfast not much variety and coffee from a machine. No fruit. Pool area was clean although water was freezing. Ashtrays everywhere so you could smoke wherever you pleased not very good for nonsmokers. Hotel is about a 30 minute walk to Protaras which is just like Blackpool with the sun definately not worth the £400 we paid for the week. Beaches in Protaras not brilliant, sea is very nice, cold but pretty. Beware of the birds mess on the sun loungers! (everywhere). Fig Tree Bay- where is the white sand? like the pictures? Expensive to eat out. Food is not good. My boyfriend wanted Greek food, in a normal restaurant he had aabout five choices and fifty English ones! The best restaurant we found was Cordon Blue definately worth a try. Go on the Nicosia trip well worth a visit but if you are expecting a traditional Greek city dont go. You can shop in Debenhams, Marks and Spencer and even have a coffee in Starbucks. The overall holiday was average but would not return to the hotel or Cyprus again.
Just adore the Anais Bay Hotel
Five times we have been to this hotel, and the service and accomodation is of the highest standard, excellent does not do it justice. The staff and owners are brilliant and they make you stay wonderful. Can't wait to go back counting the days roll on June 2006.
Our best holiday ever!
The Anais Bay Hotel is a lovely family run hotel. Clean, friendly and with a happy atmosphere. Good food. Nice pool, with childrens pool at side. Close to beach, shops, restaurants etc... We meet people who has been coming to this hotel for 10 years in a row! We were made to feel very welcome, would definatly return.
Brilliant!!!
Have just returned having spent 2 wonderful weeks at The Anais Bay. This hotel is ideally situated for both the beach and town centre. It is a small family run establishment and within 24 hours of our arrival we immediately felt like part of the family. Nothing is too much trouble and all the staff are so friendly. The fact that we met people who have visited the place in excess of 10 times speaks volumes. All in all a wonderful place run by friendly people who bend over backwards to help you in any way they can. We will definately visit as often as possible.
