Miramalfi Hotel

My husband and I stayed at the Miramalfi Hotel during our honeymoon in July 2005. The hotel was recommended to us, and we were very happy with the recommendation. Our room was pleasant and comfortable, but not luxurious, according to American standards. However, it was very clean, very bright and very spacious. We stayed here for a week earlier this month, and while it was a great trip, I think the hotel was a bit expensive for what it was. It is located about 10 mins walk into Amalfi town, downhill, but a quite tiring 15 mins uphill walk to get back there! Taxis back up the hill were 10 Euros for a very short drive. There were some nice hotels in the centre of Amalfi town - we met some people who were very impressed with theirs, and they were much better in terms of distance from the town centre and port, but they were without parking, which we... more

My girlfriend and I stayed one night at the Miramalfi and were disappointed after reading the reviews on this site. We found the hall ways leading to the room dark and a little dingy. The room itself was very basic but with an amazing view of the coastline. The bathroom needed a good clean and a lot of repair with lots of cracked tiles. Stayed for 4 nights. Fantistic location, access to pool and sea is a great advantage. Easy 12 min walk into town, more tiring 15-20 min walk back! Would definitely recommend and stay there again Only blemish was an 18euro ripoff to get a taxi to the port with our baggage (5 min ride) - hotel could have offered a shutle service

This is very nice hotel high on cliffside overlooking the sea with outstanding view of Amalfi from best rooms. Our room was large with great balcony. Nice, buffet breakfast. Parking was extra. We had concierge call from Rome to indicate we would arrive late. However, they could not find our reservation! Fortunately, when we arrive in late afternoon, they had located reservation and there was not a problem.

A good hotel, although wouldnt rave as much as some of the other reviews. The bedrooms were good, views incredble, reception staff were great although I would strongly reccommend not to dine in the restaurant. We dined there on our first night and it was comical service. Breakfast however was great. I would recommend dining at Marina Grande - a small restaurant on the beach in Amalfi, just 5/10 mins walk Santa Caterina is a beautiful LHW hotel just 3 mins away, but much more expensive.

A fantastic hotel and arguably the best in Alalfi. Staying just out of town makes the view from the hotel balconies absolutley brilliant (Check the photo!) We had room 6 which was on the corner below the restaurant with a corner balcony. Get this room if you can! Brilliant service, a lovely water side location, great pool, fantastic sun bathing location and excellent service from helpful friendly staff! The best hotel in the best town on the Amalfi coast (better than Positano and Sorrento) We will be back!

We have just come back from 3 beautiful days spent at the Hotel Miraamlfi. The weekend was perfect with such activities as the historic Regatta , a concert of Peppino Di Capri, and fireworks. Our stay at the hotel was exceptional. The staff friendly and professional. A perfect place to relax, near the pool or take a swim in the ocean. A special thanks to our friend Armando for his help. And a special mention to Alphonso ( A barman of " vecchio Stampa" who certainly knows how to make his guests feel special. The Esposito Family

My wife and I stayed here for out tenth anniversary and had a wonderful time. The location and views from the hotel are excellent. We had a suite with a large balcony and in my opinion it was well worth the extra cost. The hotel is about a 1/2 mile from town but is a pretty easy walk. It is actually a very easy walk into town and a little more difficult coming back up. The pool area is wonderful. There is no beach but the beaches in Amalfi are really all rocks anyway. Instead there are levels carved into the rock with beach chairs all over.... more

We stayed at this hotel in August 2004 and chose it after reading some of the reviews on this site. It lived up to all expectations. The hotel is spacious and the staff are extremely helpful. As Amalfi has no beach to speak of due to its cliff side location the swimming pool and bathing area are excellent facilities providing safe and convenient access to the sea.
