Grand Beach Resort Hotel

What a nightmare. I arrived at the Grenada Grand Resort on August 2, 2005. I was warned by local residents in Grenada how horrible management and staff are at the resort. In all fairness, I wanted to give the resort a chance. However, from the minute I arrived at the front desk, problems began. lovely hotel beautiful swimming pools, good food, we had a room that was right on grand anse. it was a lovely hotel and dont be scared to go after the hurricaine they have cleared up extreamly well it still looks as beautiful as it ever did. I recommened this hotel it was a lovely holiday.

I stayed at the Granada Grand Beach Resort in 2001 and it was great. John (can't remember his last name) our waiter there was the best...We think of him often and wonder how he's doing.

We were quite unsure of what to expect after reading the conflicting reviews of Grenada Grand. Thankfully, we took the advice of a previous writer (we're grateful to the person who suggested actual room numbers) and called and requested a general room location. We were in room 404 which overlooked the gardens and the fantasy pool and we could see a bit of the ocean. Stayed 3 nights at Grand Beach and had a very pleasant time. Grand Anse and surroundings were superb, pool first class, location excellent. Did not care too much about the food, it was over priced at the hotel but there is ample restaurants and local food bars a bus ride away. In any case you go to caribbean to experience the local cuisine and enjoy local pastimes, though there could be more entertainment within the hotel grounds. Front desk staff were helpful, in any case didn't need them much because everything went so smooth.

Had read some negative reports on this hotel but have just returned (10 June) from a wonderful stay here. The food was fantastic just too expensive, the staff throughout the hotel were so kind and helpful. The fantasy pool is the best I have ever seen, it was like a dream. We stayed in the older type beachfront rooms, they were very comfortable, a bit on the small side for a family but perfect for a couple. The views from the balcony are stunning. Stay at this resort at your own risk. During our stay we had an opportunity to see the back of the house and if this resort was anywhere else in the world it would be shut down. At this point a free stay would be an expensive risk.

this vacation would have been a nightmare if it weren't for the great weather and the relaxing pool with waterfalls. for the amount of money we paid $180/night i expected to at the very least find pleasant service and good food. The service was miserable and the food was expensive and mediocre. The front desk staff were for the most part an unhappy group of people who appeared to despise their jobs. 2nd may 2004 My wife and I stayed here for a week,it was a lovely hotel. good size pool, 330 ft long but only 4 ft deep. large clean comfortable rooms, lovely grounds, excelent beach. take a good mosquitoe repellent they are bad at night. the food is not first class but it's ok. lunch time barbeques are first class, the meat just melts in your mouth.only thing we did not like was the birds coming into the restaurant and eating of the serving spoons or your plate if you niped out to get somethink, the staff were good but slow.good movie... more

I had wanted to go to Grenada for a long time, but had never found anyone else who had actually been there. My travel agent seemed to think I was crazy, and I was nervous about taking my family (husband, two small children, sister-in-law and father-in-law) all that way without knowing exactly what I would find.
