going back to a place again sometimes does not work.Thankfully that is not so with the nakellis.Last year we fell in love with the nakellis and after returning from there again yesterday we still feel the same.fabulous pool, clean apartments, cold beers,a pretty large unofficial library.Mostly though TWO of the most wonderful people we could ever wish to know,Nikoe and Panayota the owners. We love them to bits and can't wait to get back there next year.I must also say how lucky we were to have been staying there with such a great bunch of people as the other guests were.A special thanks to the chadwick family from Bollington,up north near Macclesfield, your alright you are.To finish I must coin a phrase from another guest,to give the nakellis a bad review would be to want a 5 star holiday whilst only wanting to pay 2 star prices.

This was mine and my husbands 4th stay in Petra,1st with our 5year old daughter,1st at the Nakellis studios.I always feel i belong in Greece, now I know i do, Nikos and his wife
panyota are two of the loveliest people i have ever met.the apartment was cleaned every two days,if the ladies could get in.clean towels twice a week,as normal in greece clean sheets once a week.If you spoke to Nikos in the same way as you like to be spoken to,nothing was to much trouble.his english is not brilliant but is good enough,Panyota's very minimal.A point to remember. The pool is fabulous, very clean. The pool snack menu is basic, but the food is very good. The cold beer served in iced glasses.I could go on and on.Boring i know,so let me say "a little greek"goes a long way and if you want to have a fab holiday and just chill, there is no better place in Petra than the Nakellis. My daughter even got herself a wee scottish fella whilst there.I left my heart in Petra with my new friends at the Nakellis.Thank you.

We have stayed at the Nakellis twice in the last 4 years and have always found it excellent the owner Nick and his family where very helpful and friendly the apartments were good by greek standards would recomend to anyone looking for a quiet greek holiday
On last visit took teenage daughter who works in catering industry and she was most impressed as it was so relaxing
If looking for nightlife and noise go elsewhere

Petra is amazingly wonderful. There are too many reasons to list (!) - but DON'T stay at the Nakellis. I complained to Thomas Cook - but from the letter I received back from them, I don't expect anything to change at the Nakellis.

We have stayed in numerous places in Greece and accept basic is the norm, however the Nakellis fails on the following. Apartment dirty, curtains off rail, self catering equipment non existent, no hot water for showers morning or evening, bedding changed only once and towels twice. Owner not interested in his clients. Took every opportunity to avoid eye contact. He only spoke to issue rules. Handy hint, when your bed collapses use the only pan as a hammer! We had to. Petra is a lovely village but try and find somewhere else to stay. We feel this accommodation should be withdrawn from the Manos brochure!

My wife and i spent two weeks at petra in the Nakellis studios. Petra is a loveley place and we will return , But the Nakellis studios did not live up to our expectations the studio was very dated and dirty, shower room was mouldy and unclean it took ten minutes after each shower to mop the floor , toilet needed to be flushed at least 3 times after each use . The kitchen was very old and everything needed a good clean before use !!! We had only one bed change in two weeks and only two towel changes. There is aircon costing 6 euros per day !!!!. THe best part of the complex is the pool area wich is quite nice and we did think the studios are in a nice location , has for the owner it took him all his time to make eye contact let alone speak

Have just returned from these studios, we have had a very relaxing holiday.
The studios are clean and adequate. The owner and his family are very friendly.
The pool area is kept very clean, and the gardens a delight, with lots of flowers. If you like noisy late nights, English type bars, and English food only, then Nakellis and Petra is not the place to be.

My fiance first introduced me to Petra 3 years ago and I love coming back year after year.
The best way to get to Nakellis from the airport is by taxi, it is a much quicker journey and you still get to enjoy the scenery.
Nikos and his family really make you feel welcome as do all of the locals. Nakellis apartments are very pleasant to stay at, they are kept very clean and are comfortable and the pool is perfect. You can have snacks and drinks all day.The family are always helpful no matter what you need.
It is about 15 minutes walk to the seafront where there are plenty of shops and restaurants. Sometimes the most difficult decision to make is which restaurant to choose as they are all very good, so many to choose from.
My fiance has been to Lesvos 9 times over the last 12 years and has been to Nakellis 8 times. He has watched the children grow and we both now feel very much apart of the family.
We are going back again in July and we can't wait to be back.
I highly recommend Nakellis to anyone.

Lovely studios set in olive groves, smashing swimming pool, very quiet location only a 15 min walk to shops and beach, good bus service to Molyvos and Anaxas.
The one bad thing was the coach dropped us off a good 15 min walk from the studios, ok our luggage went by cart, it was such a long walk the rep walked a short way and then Nick the owner arrived on his motorbike to lead the way, not much fun in 38 degree heat.
The flight with flyjet was awful cheap tacky and a really old plane, No inflight entertainment, no chat from the pilot to say what route we were taking. Meals were included but no hot drinks with the meal, you could buy those later. The female steward was chewing gum for 4 hours there and we got her again coming back.
We waited 20 mins after landing for steps to be brought to the aircraft and waited more than 30mins for our luggage to arrive at baggage collection . Flyjet are awful.

Nakellis Studios are in a wonderful peaceful location just a few minutes from the delightful village of Petra. The pool is fantastic, a good size, clean and with plenty of sunbeds and shade. A bonus for us was sitting on the terrace in early evening enjoying a cold beer.
The studios are basic but clean and airy. The only slight downside for us was that the balcony did not have a privacy panel and so we were on full view and only two feet away from our neighbours.
