Nakellis

My husband and I landed at Mytiline airport at 1.00pm on a very hot day in July, collected our luggage and found the Manos rep, who pointed us to the coach to take us to the apartments that would be our home for the next 2 weeks.
Waiting on the coach my husband decided to go and buy some water for the journey, thank goodness he did as it was very much needed before we reached the apartments.
On the journey to Petra the coach stopped to drop off some luggage to a much smaller van, our luggage was among them, (they were waiting at the apartments when we arrived).
The coach stopped just outside Petra and ourselves with 8 to 10 other people were told to walk down a small track, to follow the signs to the apartments, a long walk in the hottest part of the day still in our 'English' travelling clothes.
But what a fantastic surprise when we arrived, lovely apartments, the owners were there to welcome us all; nothing was too much trouble for them.
The apartments were basic but lovely and clean, if something did not work either with the electrics or water the problem was instantly repaired.
A wonderful pool and bar, a superb Greek night was held for the apartment guests. One of the best Greek holidays we have had.
It was a pity Manos did not escort us at the arrival, as there was a much, much shorter route through Petra; it was understandable we were the only ones at the arrival meeting; I bet we were the only ones in the 2 weeks that met the rep.
We will be going back to Nakelis Studios this year with some friends, as we feel we had made some friends there.
