We have been already 9 times on various islands in Greece. Most of the big hotels offered loud animation for All-Inclusive guest. This hotel offers great service, quiet animation and no All-In, which definitely has an impact on the guest at the hotel. I start this review by mentioning that we were in two minds whether to cancel our holiday at this hotel after reading the reviews posted on this site, but to be totally honest we are glad that we didn't. We did however consult our tour operator over certain matters prior to going for peace of mind. many thanks for your comments and suggestions. * please accept our sympathy and appologies your shower/wc being small! our bedrooms are in 9 different buildings and are all different, so are the bathrooms - most quite adequate in size .(although the interior deco is the same in all). ** i would like to inform future guests that there will never be any building work at the neighboring unfinished hotel, during the summer months (may-october) , if at all . *** i would also like to make a small correction:- the hairdryers are not for hire; there is a refundable deposit of 10 euro and these are obtained at the reception. - kind regards -

After reading a few negative reviews before we went we were a little worried about what to expect. We had a suite with a sea view. Suite was very spacious, very minimalistic as shown in First Choice brochure but when you look closely at the decor etc everything is finished to a poor standard. A slight smell of damp in suite as well. A kettle was provided but no coffee, teabags etc were given. My girlfriend and I have just returned from a week staying at the Bay hotel in Zante. On arriving at the hotel we were told our room was not ready so we waited until a cleaner lady took us to a block of apartments away from the reception area. Fantastic Hotel and Location from CLAIRERC
Just spent a week at the Bay Hotel and Suites. Although the rooms are minimalistic in style, they are very spacious and comfortable. Linen and towels were changed on a daily basis, and although we had to make up the bed everyday, this was no hardship. The staff were all very pleasant and extremely helpful, and were very knowledgeable about the area. After some reservations from reading other reviews, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the hotel was in a great setting right on the beach and it was very clean and comfortable. My boyfriend and I have just returned from a one week holiday at The Bay Hotel & Suites. We stayed in one of the suites because all hotel rooms were booked. On arrival we were led to our suite which on entry we both considered to be very spacious however very bare with colours like grey, white and lilac which made the room seem very cold. I've just come back from this hotel and what a dive! The owners ran out of money, that's the reason there's a big unfinished building site next door and the finish on the rooms (especially bathrooms) are terrible. The rooms are definetly minimalist, but as for chic - you must be joking! We moved rooms because our room smelt of damp especially the mattress. Firstly, I would like to say that zakynthos is a lovely place and the people are really helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed the scenery and the relaxing atmosphere the island has to offer, the sea was lovely and warm and the beaches in vassilikos are beautiful (esp Gerakas beach). Hated the bay hotel but loved Zakynthos from Olympiakos
Excellent sea but terrible service, terrible breakfast, air conditioning not properly functioning. It is a pity for such an island to have an hotel like that
