our stay at the daphne was a fantastic 2 weeks,we have stayed here twice now and enjoyed both times, takis and family are brilliant and make you feel very welcome, yorgos is ace good fun, the food is lovely and the apartments are clean and spacious, swimming pool spotless and great for kids, my little girl was never out of the pool, daphne is situated from a short walk to the town and about 10 mins to the beach surounded by eating places and bars, takis and family make your stay enjoyable and nothing too much trouble, they are fantastic and would recommend the daphne to anyone, we hope to go back next year will have to see how the finances go,i miss the place so much wish i was still there, hope to see you all next year. from helen, richard, kayleigh, and kerri. ps the greek night is fantastic too.

Just got back from a holiday at the Daphne apartments. On arrival made very welcome by Takis and family. The room was basic but spacious and had everything you needed. If you needed any extras the family were only too willing to get it for you.
Food at the bar was very good and very reasonably priced.
We have read a couple of bad reviews regarding these apartments and staff but we could not agree in anyway with them. Takis even took my husband fishing when he found out he was interested in it.
Despite being understaffed there was always somebody available to cater for your needs.
We found our apartment very clean, linen and towels changed regularly and floors washed every couple of days.
Would not go to Tsilivi again this late in the season as it was very quiet and quite chilly at night.
These apartment are in a quiet location but close to all bars, restaurants and shops. The beach is only a 10 minute walk away and well worth it.
We will be returning next year with our daughters and grandchild (if we can get in!!)as we think this is an ideal place for a family holiday or couples.

We have recently booked a return visit to the Daphne in Tsilivi after a fantastic holiday this year. The Daphne is quite small with plenty of amenities, a lovely clean pool, a well stocked bar and fantastic cafe food at excellent prices. Takis and his family are friendly and extremely hard working, the rooms are big enough for our needs and well looked after. Yorgos keeps everyone at the bar entertained, with a great sense of humour. The Greek nights are great fun and a brilliant night of entertainment.
Tsilivi is a lovely resort, where you can relax and chill out. The choice of restaurants is excellent and the food to die for, especially at Sweet Revenge.
We have been going now for about four years and have made friends with some brilliant people, Takis and family, Yorgos and Aphrodite, as well as the other holidaymakers that we have kept in touch with.
Hope to see you all again next year

Just got back from The Daphne thank God !!On arrival we were given room 13 to be greeted by black runnung mould in shower, dirty underwear left in draw and a good selection of squashed flies stuck to the walls, the best was yet to come !! On taking the key from electric supply the switch fell out revealing LIVE wires.
Quickly complained and were removed to room 8 which had a superb view of a half built complex and a tiny dog that yapped all day and NIGHT.
Every time the shower was used it flooded the appartment and flowed onto the balcony,an attempted repair was made by the staff which did no use,it still flooded!!
The bedding was changed twice in 2 weeks and the dust in the room was brushed around 3 times
The staff were surly to say the least and the youth on the computer was a dead loss.
I must also point out that the Thomas Cook rep.JON was useless he proomised a complaint form which we never got and when asked why he told us that he was leaving Thomas Cook and could`nt be bothered

To the person below your summary of the Daphne could've been written by me lol
Yes the Daphne was pretty poor & substandard accomodation, we had room number 3 which was probably the worst one of the lot in terms of location! The terrace led out to trees & no views of anything in particular! I'd have loved a 1st floor balcony but as we paid next to nothing for the holiday beggars can't be choosers eh? The room itself was very small & pokey & rather dirty, the lampshade seemed to have 10 years of dust gathering on it (I kid you not). The shower was limp & had little pressure to it as too did the kitchen sink. There was no soap in the bathroom & the room had no TV which was a nighmare as Tsivili was a very uninspiring resort!
As for the staff George was humourous & entertaining, Takis was hardworking but didn't like to smile much & the young lad was a pain too interested looking at the football on his laptop then the welfare of the guests who could've been waiting 10 minutes of more! On the penultimate day of my holiday I asked the young lad if we could keep the room on for the whole of sunday as my flight was 6am on the monday he said 'wait an hour I've just woke up' oh brilliant customer service mate! In fairness to him he did give me an answer within 10 minutes but we were only allowed it until 10pm which meant a 5 and a half hour wait in the hotel bar till our bus came! I couldn't understand why we couldn't have it till the early hours as there was no-one going in to the room till probably the morning?!?He closed the bar 12.30 & we were literally open to the elements till our bus came and believe it or not Tsilivi gets quite nippy at nights!
A special mention must go to the great value breakfast we had every other morning 4 euros for a full english with toast, juice tea or coffee was excellent value & very palatable so too was his pizza for 4.50 very tasty & both reasonably priced!

spent 2 weeks here in september. nice weather, few drips of rain here and there but still quite hot. resort/appts not as good as most people make it out to be in my opinion. the good bits first, tsilivi was ok. plently to do and some really nice restaurants. the beach wasnt up to much though. plenty of wasps buzzing round to keep you occupied and it prooved quite difficuly to pickup a handful of sand without catching a few cigarette butts or the odd lolly stick. the pool at the daphne was ok. nice and clean and quiet most of the time. now for the bad.. room was ideal in size but the cleanliness was something else. the maid did a wonderful job of sweeping 2 weeks worth (possibly more) of dust etc under the spare bed. i ended up having to wear my flip flops inside the room as my feet were getting too dirty. the cuttlery needed washing before using. a spring inside the matress had pierced through the fabric and wasnt too comfortable. the taps leaked and the cold water, for some reason, stopped working on the second to last day. now for the staff. george was friendly enough but the others wasnt as good. the old man didnt say much (the air con was broke and he got it fixed pretty quickly so all good there). the young boy who had his head rammed inside the screen of his laptop for the whole time i was there was quite rude sometimes. i order some drinks and some meals with this boy one day and he asked if i could wait a minute whilst he watch football for 10-15 minutes.he then eventually come back over and asked what i had ordered again then mooched off into the kitchen to cook it. we may go back to zante one year but not for a long time. staying at these apartments had really put me off greece for the moment which is a shame because i have been going to greece for as long as i can remember and i normally love every minute of it. i am considering trying out one of the more secluded islands next year. tsilivi 6/10, daphne 3/10. overall 4.5/10.

Stayed at Daphne Aparts 2nd-16th July. Visited with my wife (Andrea) and two very good friends (Tony & Lesley) and what a fantastic holiday we had. These apartments are in the ideal location. Far enough away for a good night's kip and near enough for all bars etc. The apartments themselves were clean and tidy and the air con worked a treat(paid 25 euro's per week and worth every penny!. As there are only 17 apartments, within days you are friendly with the majority of the other guests, which is much better than these big places where you don't really get to know other guests. Takis, the owner, and his family cannot do enough for you, making sure that you enjoy your stay. George the barman, was always friendy and chatty and was always good for a late drink(sorry for keeping you up George.) I must give the breakfast a mention as well, fruit juice, bacon, sausage, two eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms, two slices of toast, jam and a good mug of tea for 4 euro's, excellent after a heavy night out. Tsilivi is a lovely resort with plenty of places to eat and drink and I must say we never had a bad meal yet. Would reccommend, Family restaurant, Olive Tree, Moby dick's, in fact all of them!! The beach is about ten-fifteen minutes away, (a pleasant stroll through town) and is well worth a visit. Well, I could go on and on so will sign off now. If you go to Tsilivi stay here!

Hi, We have just returned from the Daphne Apartments (room 6) in Tsilivi, this was the first time that we have stayed there although we have visited the owner Takis and his Bar called Takis Place many times. We have had a very good holiday, the Apartments are very roomy, very clean, and are very well looked after by the maid/cleaner, bedding and towels are changed regularly. The Pool and Pool Bar are just what you need to enjoy your stay, the food is very good and nothing is too much trouble for Takis (who has a great sense of humour) and his wife Angelika (Great Cook) and their sons Tony and George, I suppose we should also give a mention to Yorgos (pronounced Your go), he is the cheeky chap that attends to the bar in the evening, if you are looking for someone with a bit of....well lets say personality, it's him, he knows how to make a decent cocktail or two.
We have been to Tsilivi 4 times now, stayed at The Daisy twice and once at The Filoexinia, but the Daphne has easily been the best, it is a friendly family run Self Catering Apartment Holiday with everthing on hand, all of the restaurants bars and shops are just round the corner, we visited, and would recommend The Olive Tree, The Family, Athena, Popeyes (if you like spinach, try Popeyes style eggs for breakfast), and if you can find it, the Summertime Bar run by Panniotte who does a decent Chilli.
Hoping to return next year around 15/07/10, if I can persuade Christine (Wife) to fly again.
Would recommend The Daphne to anyone looking for a decent place to stay it really is hard to beat.
So signing off now, Glokka to Takis, and Malakka to Yorgos.
See you next year.
Ian & Christine.

My husband and I are just back from 2 weeks at the Daphne. We found them not as good as other people said. The dishes and cutlery needed washing beore we could use them- sparse only 2 of everything. I had to ask for fresh towels on more than one occassion. The maid did not clean properly. We got the feeling if you didn't spend at their bar they were not all that freindly. Valentinas Castle -The Olive Garden-Benikos-and Trenta Nove were all very good restaurants. the travel agent in the village called Special Offer run by Angela was excellent -the guide on the tours was a lovely girl called Sue. The beach was also a bit dissapointing. Hope this review helps.

Have stayed at Daphne Apartments four times in last five years. Cannot believe the latest two posts - an absolute departure from the normally glowing praise which this venue attracts. Okay, you cant please all of the people all of the time but I just wonder what these people expected. I have already booked for next year [like many others I have no doubt] and am looking forward to seeing this wonderful family again and enjoying their unmatched hospitality. I know I will see the May-holiday regulars and we will have a great time once again.
