Antonis Apartments

Me and my family just flew back from staying 2 weeks in the Antonis Apartments in Kalamaki. Had an amazing time, staff were very helpful and friendly.
The pool was very refreshing after a long sunbathe. Food was excellent especially the English breakfast. Close to all amenities and restaurants.
Would recommend the cruise around the island and the Water Village. Would definitely go back. Thanks everybody at the Antonis.

We stayed at the Antonis 24th May- 07th June, it was the best and most relaxing holiday yet.
The rooms are basic but very clean. Our room was cleaned 3 times a week with beds changed twice a week.
Pedros, julios and nick who run the bar were great, nothing was too much trouble. The pool is the best in Kalamaki, with loads of sunbeds and good bar snacks. Entertainment is on every night of the week in the bar. The Greek night on a Sunday is a must they get everyone to join in, it was brill.
Can't say a bad word about any of the restaurants we visited all the food served was delicious, how do they get their meat to be so tender ?
A few of our favourites were the olive tree, vakhos marios, merlis and taverna Paris. A visit to the cave bar is a must but watch the mozzies we all got bit to pieces.
I would go back to the Antonis tomorrow if I had the money, it was great! If not see ya next year.

The rooms are clean and tidy, Pedro, Julios, and all the staff are very friendly, and the apartments are in a good distance for all amenities.

These apartments (if booked direct) are more than adequate, clean with good views of the sea. They contain all you need for a pleasant stay, they do studios or family apartments, I suggest you make sure you take towels as they don't seem to like leaving large towels in the rooms.
It is situated slightly back from the main drag.
This is a family run business, they're very pleasant and eager to please all their customers. Iolios & Pedros are the two brothers who work the bar between them & Nick who works with them couldn't be more pleasant. We have been 3 years on the run & can't complain about anything so far. Their parents often make an appearance, even though they don't speak English, they always welcome us via one of the lads.
The pool is excellent and relaxing, just chill to the music. The pool bar does a good range of snacks & drinks. They have sky TV on large TV’s & an outdoor large screen for the evenings. They show all the latest films & sports. Quiz nights, barbeques & karaoke are just some of the entertainment they lay on. They do a typical Greek night too.
The Antonis is set back from the main old Kalamaki road, which is ideal as you are not in the thick of the buzz. There are loads of bars & restaurants on your doorstep, the Alsandros bar is the first one you come to as you leave the Antonis, Lee & Neil are always pleasant and a mind full of information, all you have to do is ask. The mustang bar is also a great place to go, you can use the internet if you go here. The restaurants are all along the road and cater for all tastes, whether it be traditional, Italian, Chinese etc. The cave bar is a must at least once, you can catch a lift at the bottom (just tip him if you wish).
The beach is just a pleasant 10min walk away, it's really nice, sometimes you'll see red triangles protecting the turtle eggs, it's a conservation area and sometimes they block certain bits off, it's not a problem though, it's totally understandable. They don't like you to go on there at night as the turtles use that beach apparently.
If you want something livelier, Laganas is not far away, you can jump in a cab for about 6 euros.
There are lots of trips around the island on offer which you can book through agents along the road at quite reasonable prices and if you want a vehicle, the Merlis car hire comes highly recommended, (this is at the top of the road from the Antonis).
I can't stress enough how relaxing Kalamaki & the Antonis are.
Still, try it for yourselves & decide, you won't be disappointed.

"2 Weeks of sheer "chill" that’s the way it's best described. Accommodation basic but clean & comfortable. Antonis is a family owned business with the best pool bar in Kalamaki (imo). Welcoming & very pleasant, Iolios & Pedros are the two sons who run the bar & nick who works there make it what it is. This was our third visit, but the first time we’ve booked direct, but we encountered no problems.
They do their best to keep you entertained, latest films, Greek nights, quizzes, karaoke etc....but if that’s not your cup of tea, it's not a problem. The island has plenty of interesting trips & the loggerhead turtles are the main priority there.
Bars: Alsandros, mustang, Cavo 'doro are good drinking holes. Restaurants, there are such a varied amount you’ll have to check them all out. Taxis aren’t expensive, just make sure you agree before setting off. Zante town is well worth a visit if shopping is your thing. Never had bad weather (just one day of rain). The airport is something to be experienced though, new terminal just opened for arrivals, but departures are another matter, still you get there in the end, (take a bottle of frozen water, just in case).
Kalamaki is not a revellers area, just enough going on not to get silly. Everyone is friendly & I thoroughly recommend it.
