I have recently come back from my three week stay in Varadero, Cuba. I went to Cuba for my honeymoon. The flight on the way wasn’t very pleasant, the staff were very impolite, the airline was Cubana Airlines. After the flight, we were checked very thoroughly at the Cuban airport. They didn’t just let anyone into Cuba.
We were really settled in with our all inclusive board basis. The food was delicious, the drinks were amazing especially the slushes and the cocktails. I do wish they washed the glasses more though, they were only dipped in water and re-used again.
On our stay we went to Havana for a few nights, an old sugar cane plantation factory and we did alot of sightseeing. I didn’t enjoy Havana as it was all historical which really isn’t my thing. Apart from that, Cuba was great. The beaches were white sands and so clear.
On the last couple of days, i got a sore throat. I was ready to come home after three weeks but I really enjoyed my stay.
The flight home was much more relaxing and peaceful than the first one.
After a week in England, I was in hospital, it turned out my sore throat was the start of meningitis. I was in hospital a week and a half and have just recently come out, and just recovering now. I now have tonsillitis. I think I picked up the meningitis from Cuba, so my lovely holiday ended me in pain.
