We stayed here in Sept 2007. It is very close to the train station in marne le valle (2 min walk) and faces a shopping centre. Just one train stop from Disneyland Paris by train taking just 5 mins or bus facing the hotel (Did not use this). Clean, friendly staff and reasonably priced.

Wee booked this break as a treat for our 2year old son. Arrived at Paris CDG airport but was directed towards the RER train which took 2 hours to get to hotel. If they had directed us to the TGV then it would be 10 mins to Disneyland Resort and 5 mins to Val d'Europe by the... more

We, as a family of 4 stayed at hotel E'lysee last week(11/03/08).We thought it was very basic, there were no tea or coffee making facilities in the bedroom, breakfast was buffet style, with not a great deal of variety. The hotel is in desperate need of a re-furb, it was... more

Arrived back from this hotel on Wed 7 Nov. Disgustingly dirty, staff appallingly rude at breakfast and other times when trying to get service or help. Requested a smoking room (yes, there are some of us left!) - told hotel was full when it was virtually empty. Trays of food... more

We had an AMAZING break with our 3 children here. Aside from the expected excitement & professionalism of Disney it was much more reasonably priced than we anticipated - we did benefit from the 15th anniversary 'under 7's stay & play free' offer for 2 of us but were... more

Disappointed
We have just arrived back from a two night stay at this hotel. The rooms and the hotel common areas were fine if a little tatty around the edges. Walls were paper thin, not great when one neighbour had an alarm that went off twice at 5am and rang 25 times (yes we counted) and the other neighbour was londly awake at 6am and tuned into local tv station at full blast and then decided to leave it going whilst he took a very noisy shower, complete with very loud noise blowing! Breakfast was good once you had a seat, we decided to haverby shopping mall - Fantastic idea, the choices were great, also great shopping! Ok to stay at if you you are a heavy sleeper as ideal for disneyland, but not the place i would ever choose again, or recommend
Disneyland Magic
Returned from Disneyland Paris end of January 07 and we had a wonderful time. We took advantage of the Kids Go Free and flying on Easyjet we paid less than £500 for 4days/3 nights bed and breakfast for 2 Adults and 2 Children. I would really recommend Disneyland Paris to any family with young children as mine are 8 and 5. The plusses are that there is a short flight, and do as I did - walk out of the airport and get in a Taxi – you’ll not regret this decision as we were on the trains going in and out of Paris and they are busy and if you are new to Paris like we were, you are best to pay the 70 Euro and be done with it – especially if you arrive in the dark, suitcases, pram and children, not knowing where you are going. We stayed at Hotel l’Elysee Val D’Europe which deserves its 3* status. Check-in was quick and efficient. Breakfast was self service and most importantly the hotel is clean with large rooms, (but it is more like a Business Hotel/Hotel for a Residential than a family hotel) and the only reservation I had about it was that it was very quiet and there was little for parents to do in the evening. We went to the Santa Fe to compare it and see if we were missing “Disney Magic” but we found that the Santa Fe was crowded with people, with 4 0r 5 queues to check in and a bus with peoples faces crammed to the window - the shuttle was that full!. The shuttle from L’Elysee was never crowded but did run less frequently. We did not have any problems with queuing in the Park as we arrived on a Sunday evening and left on a Wednesday. We got off Buzz Lightyear and run around the front and got back on three times. Disneyland was full of things to do and all the rides are suitable for small children, except for a few with height restrictions. There is a wonderful atmosphere and the streets are clean without a dropped paper in sight it’s a credit to the French. It forces a smile from you when you think that this is not real. I had read comments that Disneyland Florida is better but in the mind of a child this place is magical and everything seems big anyway!!! It was beyond what I expected. The food is the only let down. The food is MacDonald’s standard to feed the large number of people and the Disneyland Restaurants in the Village are very expensive so we chose to give them a miss and eat in the beautiful Val D’Europe area. The shopping centre here is a bonus if you are staying in Hotel L’Elysee. All in all we will be back next year! Can’t wait!
Excellent!
We booked our trip to Disneyland Paris through a local Travel Agent who was offering a great package which included staying at this hotel and can honestly say it was excellent. It was around midnight when we actually arrived at our hotel and the lady on reception was really helpful and pleasant. When we got to our room we found it really clean and airy and a good size, which was important especially as there was myself, my wife and our 2 kids all staying in the one room. The bathroom was really clean and had plenty of towels. the beds were quite comfortable if not a little hard but if that is the only thing i can moan about then I think I am just being picky! The location was great too, just about 5 minutes away from Disneyland by FREE shuttle bus and located opposite a rather large shopping mall which eventually led onto the La Vallee outlet shopping village, although didn't go there. The area around the hotel was spotlessly clean as was the foyer and restaurant, in fact the whole hotel was. Overall this hotel was excellent, we would definitely recommend to anyone.
Great Location for Disney and Paris
Stayed at Val d'europe for five nights before and on New Years Eve. Opposite train station and next to a massive shopping centre and a shopping designer outlet it has a great location. There is a big supermarket in the shopping centre which is good for days you don't want to spend alot of money on fastfood in Disney. There are lots of restaurants in the middle of the shopping centre and a few situated around the hotel/train station. Free and frequent shuttle bus to Disney-or you can catch the train. Room was clean, tv, double glazing, heater/air con and nice bathroom. We didnt spend much time in the hotel but there was a bar area and pool tables in the foyer. We didnt pay for breakfast so cant comment on the food, I think that 12 euros each is pricey for breakfast so we stocked up on food in the supermarket that lasted us the week. For those of you who require cups of tea-there isn't a kettle in the room. We enjoyed our stay here and would certainly recommend it- especially if you are comparing prices with disney hotels.
Great stay here
We had a great time at this hotel. Booked as part of a deal with a travel agent. We had a large room with a double bed + 2 foldout singles which were comfortable. Good toilet fittings and room furniture. It is very convenient to the metro stop Val d'europe and is literally across the street to the massive shopping village with hypermarket, food outlets and factory shopping outlets. There is a free connecting bus to Disneyland Paris. All in all, great hotel if you can't stay at the ones in Disneyland.
what a wicked holiday
my partner and my 8 year old daughter stayed at the elysee hotel in aug for our 3 night trlp and we found the hotel to be exceptionally clean ..with maid service evry day it was lovley to come back after a full day @ disneyland to clean room and beds made for u. we had no problems with the shuttle bus in the mornings altho the last bus home was a nightmare there was alot of pusing and shoving..but that i found to be my only fault. dlp was amazing..we arrived as it opened and quicklly fastpassed all the rides that u could fast pass wich meant that by halfway thru the first day we had done all the main attractions. the food was xpensive but we found a couple fo places to eat that was reasonabe...buzz lightyears pizza parlour not being one of them the food there was rubbery and tasteless. we watched all the shows...the lion king show was wicked and if u enter the restaurant next door u can watch the show without havin to queue for a ticket ...a great tip because the shows get full very quickly. my only dissapointment was the fact that the characters walkin around were very hard to get too with ppl pushing and shoving and the ques at the meet and greet were long...howevver if u get to disney early u will find some of the chracters waiting outside and the best place to see them is in disney studios. all the rides were great..the rock and roller coaster bein my favourite..and the the shows at disney studio were great too. we nevver ate at the hotel elysee but we found it to be clean quiet and ideally located, the bus stops right outside and the shopping centre is great for getting your food. we took cereals and crisps over to france with us and we found eatin breakfast in hotel and takin lunch nto disney was the cheapest option we onli need to pay for one meal. overall i would say the hotel was excellent value for money and we found the staff to be friendly altho we had very little dealings with them !
Good Location
Just back from a 4 night stay in Hotel Elysee. Best thing about this hotel is its location - one stop from Disney and a free shuttle bus to and from park. Hotel facilities were sufficient - clean rooms, ample size. I agree with a recent review that the beds are a bit hard!! Staff helpful, but nothing outstanding to report - somewhere to get your head down for a few hours each evening!Shopping centre and designer outlet village across the road - nice mall and outet - food hall good with a McDonalds for kids who are fussy. DLP was OK!!! although my son who is 11 was wowed and loved every minute of it and enjoyed all the big thrill rides but hated the ques!. Ques were endless (did fast pass when we could but not always available at time to suit) pricey shops at every ride with nothing too spectaular on sale!! Food in DLP is not too good - fast food everywhere, not great selection. We ended up getting rolls/drinks from the Hypermarket in Shopping centre and doing the picnic option (Hypermarket is very good for water and snacks good deli counter) . Went to the Lion King Show it was very good - althought free you do need to reserve tickets and need to be on que to get these at about half hour before stated time. The parade was very good too . These two were my favs. We visted Univ. Studios in Salou and I would prefer this is many respects. Over all is you are going to DLP this is a good choice of hotel with easy access to train station (across road) if you want to travel into Paris (zone 1-5 - 2 or 3 day rail pass good for doing sites and incs airport too).
Not sure if good choice or not
My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights with our 8 y.o. son thinking this would be better than staying right inside Disney as it would give us more choice in terms of choosing restaurants at night etc. We had read from other reviews that it was not a problem travelling on the shuttle bus and agree that it does not take long to get there (a few minutes), however as the shuttle bus only goes once per hour we found it very inconvenient if we missed it. On a couple of occasions we had to take the RER back to the hotel instead which was annoying when the shuttle bus was free and also a bit of a drag when feeling tired after a long day at Disney. We thought it would also be nice to be in a quieter area away from Disney but on our first night had such a problem getting dinner back in the Val d'Europe - had a shower in our hotel room and then decided to go downstairs to the hotel restaurant where we found an extremely rude waiter who told us we had to sit and wait for 15 minutes as the restaurant was full. As we could see that there were only a quarter of the tables occupied we could not understand this. We walked outside into the street and thought we might go instead to another restaurant, only to find that they were too full and we could not get a table. Back to the hotel restaurant and the rude waiter who promptly told us to sit and wait out the rest of our 15 mins stating that the restaurant had been so busy this night - would not even let us sit at a table and have a drink whilst waiting. It appeared that this person was extremely stressed. As it was getting on for 10.00 at night by this stage and we were all extremely grumpy, tired, and hungry and beginning to think we would not get fed that night, this was not really satisfactory. (really difficult circumstances when you have a child with you as any parent would agree). Eventually we were enabled to get a meal in the hotel restaurant but only ate there out of desperation at that point. The food was ordinary and expensive. Other remaining meals during our short stay were taken in the shopping mall (breakfast) and in the restaurants inside Disney which we found to be a similar price to the hotel restaurant and much better food. (We never did get to check out the restaurants inside the shopping mall at lunch time or dinner time so can't comment on these). On the evening we had the difficulty I also tried to gain some assistance from the female receptionist at the hotel who was also quite rude and unhelpful. During the day, however, all other experiences with the reception staff were satisfactory. In spite of this, our room at the hotel was spacious and clean and everything worked well. I am unable to compare this with an experience staying inside Disney at one of the other hotels. I would try the second option if ever I went there again and take my chances with the noise and crowds as it is probably more important to be close to the attractions and the numerous restaurants where you are sure to be fed. We found the Bavarian restaurant in Disney Village good value with really tasty food, a great selection of beer according to my husband, large servings of food and catered really well for children, with excellent service. Loved Disney overall, so many rides and so much fun. Be sure to leave some time for Disney Studios, our son loved the Action Motor show. Be prepared for lots of long queues however, and lots of arrogant European tourists who will push in front of you in the queues at every opportunity.
Nice Clean Hotel in Quiet area 5 mins from Disney
This was a nice clean hotel with decent enough room in a nice quiet area next to the Designer Retail Outlet . We prefered being here to 24/7 Disney!! Great location - the hotel run a free hourly shuttle bus or you can get the train from the RER station over the road - you can also get a train into Paris from here (great train service both ways - we never waited more than 10 mins. Downsides - no kettle in the room for the post Disney cuppa and the breakfast at 12euros was very expensive as every morning they seemed to run out of bread/croissants/cereals or something. We went into the adjacent shopping centre "food court" which was far better value. On the whole if they sorted out the breakfast problems - 9/10
Great deal near Disney
The Elysee is a nice hotel near the Disney theme parks. The parking is free for the night, the next door mall and the outlet mall make you feel a bit like you weere in america rather than europe, but only in the good sense of the sensation. The service was good, the room was clean and efficient and the cost was exceptional compared to the disney facilities.
