Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights, it was everything I would expect from a 5 star hotel.
Clean, well decorated, beautiful pool area, great views over Havana and right in the middle of the old town and sights. The food was excellent. Service excellent and I would highly recommend it.
We also went to the show at the Tropicana while we were there it was pricey ( 80 pesos each for a 1 1/2 hour show) but well worth it as the show and costumes are fabulous and worth every penny.
The tapas consisted of a few peanuts and breadsticks so eat before you go, had two beers before our 1/2 bottle of rum and 2 cans of cola (included in the cost) came and they cost 10 pesos around £7, double the price you would pay in the bars! So beware of getting ripped off.

My wife & I stayed here 24th/28/september 2006.
From the time we stepped off the coach we were welcomed by your doorman, who after booking you in at the reception quickly offered assistance with our luggage too our room.
All the staff were at hand when asking information or assisting in all different matters, the hotel was situated ideally for sightseeing and the views from the rooftop were excellent.
The hotel rooms spotless and very well maintained, breakfast anything you could wish for & champagne thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

This was the second time we have stayed here. We stayed for 3 nights in Feb 2008 + previously in May 2007. Great hotel + very good location. Wouldn't really recommend Capitivating cuba as a tour operator to go with. The hotel has pretty good fod which is hard to find in cuba. All rooms are very nice + clean. Good service. Would stay again. One tip regarding taxis, as you come out of the hotel turn right + to the side of the hotel you can pick up a local lada taxi which are about half the price. These do have meters but you can always negotiate a non metered fare. Some of these cabs are a bit battered + old but they are local cabs and reliable and the drivers always friendly.
