A basic hotel. The bedrooms are clean - the beds are firm. The towels and linen are changed just twice weekly unless you elect to pay 30 Euros extra to have your towels and sheets changed on a daily basis. There is no bath, just a shower in each room. No toiletries are provided. The TV in our room had no reception. You have to pay if you want to use the safe in your room. You also have to pay 6 euros per day if you want to use the air conditioning in your room. There are no tea or coffee facilities in the room except for a kettle. The breakfast consists of muesli, tinned apricots, thick white bread, hard boiled eggs, thin sliced cheap ham slices, processed cheese slices. They provide PG tips tea for breakfast. The milk is fully pasterised and tastes quite horrible. There is coffee at breakfast which has an acceptable taste. You can get a 20% discount on a full english breakfast if you are a staying guest. There is a nice pool and bar and most of the staff are friendly.

I and my wife stayed at the Anassa for 2 weeks from the 7th June 2007, it is great.
Hotel in one the best locations in Skala, right on the beach and a few minutes’ walk to the Main Street with loads of excellent bars and restaurants.
The owners Effie and George and all the staff at the hotel do everything the can to make you welcome.
The pool bar is excellent. Best holiday for years. We will go back again.

Stayed at the Hotel Anassa in September 09. The bathrooms in the studios/apartments have all been modernised to an incredibly high standard, featuring power showers in an enclosed frosted glass cubicle and double wash hand basins. Beds are firm, there is plenty of cupboard and wardrobe space, adequate kitchenette with toaster and large kettle, and a large hairdryer, as well as TV and telephone if needed. Air con is at an additional cost. The rooms were kept spotlessly clean. The Hotel is situated across a small road from the beach, which is clean and very long. The swimming pool is surrounded by comfortable sunbeds and there is a small bar serving drinks and food until 5pm. The staff are helpful and on arrival you are given a free, refreshing drink, which is very welcome. We asked for a high floor and got one, which we were grateful for as some of the ground floor apartments - set in the gardens - seemed a little dark, due to being directly behind and separate from the main body of the hotel. This was the only downside to the Hotel Anassa. It is beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean and very stylish.
