Clean appartment in a beautiful setting, but no air con! The slow noisy old ceiling fan provided little relief from the roasting nights. This picture doesn't show the bar at the foot of the hill right in front of Angelas. The few tavernas along the seafront are a rip off compared with the friendlier ones up the hill and over the bridge in Lourdata. You must organise transport straight away as there is very little to do in Lourdas -only one shop! Chap at Sunbird rentals in Lourdata was very helpful. Lovely sandy beach, (sun loungers 6 euros per day) but we preferred the little cove at nearby Trapezaki (great for sorkelling.) The island is a lot more hilly than Corfu or Zante, but there is so much to see. Skala and Argostoli are not far away and have a lot more going on than Lourdas. Prices much the same as UK.

Just come back from a weeks holiday at Angelas apartments. Good position almost on the beach. Though the room was quite small and shower room TINY, we had good views. Very clean & comfortable, linen changed mid week. Very basic, minimum kitchen equipment. Glad we hired a car as the walk up the hill is a killer. The island is very beautiful and worth exploring, delightful if you just want a quiet break but no good if your after nightlife.

Nice appartments although too hot to sleep in August with no air con. Lourdas okay if you're happy to laze on the beach all day and pay through the nose at the few tavernas. My advice is that you need transport to visit the local shops and tavernas up a very long steep hill (-not easy walking in 38C,) and also to enjoy all the delights this beautiful island has to offer. Trapezaki beach was much prettier than Lourdas.
