These apartments are underated in the brochure they are clean in an ideal place and the owner mr george is welcoming and friendly.
The apartments are next to everything you need and set in a beautiful little garden wich george attends to himself.

We have just come back from staying at the Maria Stella apartments sadly we only had a week there, the apartments were everything we wanted for our Holiday and a fortnight would have been better. They are only a two minute walk from the main square in Elounda but you do not get any of the noise from bars or traffic. When you come out of the small walkway to the apartments you are right opposite the very pretty Harbour where the boats to Spinalonga go out from and fishing boats come in each morning and sell their catch.
There are loads of shops and Tavernas all around the Harbour and the ones we tried were all good to name a couple the Thalassomylos were it is very difficult to order a small meal. Every time a dish came out it was very large and very, very reasonable.
Just along from us was the Eden bar were Helena is during the day she is so chatty and makes you feel very welcome. One warning if you order a crepe there take a family of six to eat it.
There is a Happy train running out of the square which will take you on a round trip to Plaka which is fun but the best time to use it is in the afternoon when it does a tour up into the hills,
You can walk to Plaka easily, although it is 4.5kls alot of it is on the flat along an esplanade and the restuarants there do some lovely fish meals with a very good view of Spinalonga on the way.
There are buses running out of the square either to Plaka or Ag Nik which are good value.
All in all it is a very good base and although you don't get a harbour view we did have views of the hills .
The apartments are kept clean and you have everything thing there you would want and most of the other people that were there seemed to have been before, which speaks for itself.

Stayed Maria Stella Apartments for 3 weeks No.5 Apartment. An unknown little gem and I don't want to share it with anyone. Situated near to the main square, don't be put off when you are dropped off at the end of the street, the supermarket is on the corner, bakery half way up the street, passing the local residents' houses you may be put off, but turn left under the archway and you find yourself in a walled garden tended by George the owner. We could not believe how peaceful it was, so handy for all ammenities, not too far to walk back at night. The accommodation has basic furniture, no frills, but is kept clean with towelslinen etc changed on a regular basis. The kitchen area is excellent, table two chairs, fridge with freezer box, mini oven all crockery you need. Its basic Greek but all the necessities you need for your holiday. We wanted to go back next year but Thomas Cook have changed theManchester flights for 09 which depart late evening and return 05.00 in the morning. What have you done TC?

Fantastic apartments! Apartments are located right next to the main street of Elounda, behind the big supermarket but are very private. 8 apartments in the complex share a wonderful little garden which is well maintained.
The owner of the apartments live on the complex and deals with any problems you may have. Gardener and cleaner also live nearby and are very friendly. Apartments themselves are very spacious and kept very clean. Ideal for everyone looking for a relaxing holiday!
Only down-side is that the maids visits are very irregular and you never know when she's coming! Apart from that, this place is the best I have been in!

The Maria Stella apartments are up an alleyway with a very handy bakery up it. It is a stone throw away from the main shops, restaurants cafes and bars, of which there are plenty to choose from. The sandy beach is also a stone throw away which is a beautiful.
The Maria Stella is the perfect location.
The apartments themselves were very basic , but nice and clean with a fridge and basic cooking facilities, with a nice little balcony with a table and chairs and a complementary bottle of red wine . There is no noise during the day or evenings. The rooms have air conditioning at a cost of approx 25 euros a week, which I thought was great as it was very warm in July.
There is no pool, but there is use of a couple of pools nearby, but also the beach is on your doorstep.
The rooms are cleaned fairly regularly, and to a high standard
I would recommend the Maria Stella Apartments, and would stay there again if I returned to Elounda.
