Great holiday
I found reading the Tripadvisor reviews of hotels in Barbados very helpful in selecting Cobblers Cove for our holiday. We were not disappointed. This is a wonderfully situated hotel and is a great place to chill out. Well done to Ross Stevenson the General Manager who oversees an excellent team. I accept Cobblers won't suit those who want a frenzied night life but if it's a tranquil setting, spacious, comfortable accommodation, excellent food, friendly , helfpul staff and readily available water sports (included in the tariff bar scuba... more
Great for a relaxed and peaceful break
Cobblers Cove is an ideal location for complete relaxation and quiet holiday. Probably most suited to those in their 40's / 50's of which there were plenty there whilst we were there and with whom we estalblished some very good holiday friendships. The suites are well equipped and comfortable and are described by other reviewers far better than I could . THE SERVICE CAN ONLY BE DESCRIBED AS 5STAR. The food in the hotel restaurant is very good and there are more than sufficient excellent restaurants a short taxi ride away to... more
Best Holiday
Just returned after a fab time at cobblers. We stayed for 12 nights and like other reviews it was just perfect from the moment I walked into reception and was greeted with a rum punch! Rooms are clean and very spacious, the tiny kitchen is so handy with fresh milk put in everyday so you can enjoy the tea and coffee facilities. If you do not like making it yourself no worries as at 4pm everyday Cobblers serve afternoon tea. This generally was a huge hi-light every day and all the guests seemed to enjoy this time of the day. The finger... more
FANTASTIC
We went to Cobblers Cove to celebrate our 25th wedding aniversary, from arrival to departure our stay was nothing but perfect. Special thanks go to Mr Ross Stevenson the General Manager who even took photos for us as we renewed our wedding vows. All staff were attentive and very friendly and nothing appeared to be too much trouble for them. The food served in the restaurant or by room service, is of a very high standard. The chefs on special evenings are also friendly and imformative of the foods they were serving, and obviously... more
Like An English Members' Club on the Sea
Scenery: typically Caribbean crystal waters and palms. Rooms: Huge suites, tastefully decorated with every luxury. Food: Excellent quality, varied and imaginative, although astronomically expensive. The beach is just off to the side of the front area of the hotel, rather small and shaded for part of the day, but the water is divine - usually calm, crystal clear and warm as a bath. The manager, Ian, is so very friendly, unpretentious and welcoming, you feel as if you are staying at a friend's stately home rather than a... more
Excellent Hotel
Have just returned from 12 wonderful days staying at this gem of a hotel. We had a garden suite which was very spacious, well furnished and overlooked the well manicured gardens frequented by the local birdlife and the odd mongoose which were lovely to watch. The staff were fantastic, all very friendly and eager to please. The beach is narrow but this did not in any way spoil our holiday. Compared to all the other restaurants along the west coast we did not find Cobblers any more expensive and the food was excellent, both in quality and... more
Very nice hotel but expensive!
We spent our honeymoon at Cobblers Cove in May 2006 and in general it was exactly as we thought it would be: quiet, pleasant surroundings with good service. Good Points In general this is a fantastic hotel and the rooms are amazing though I agree with another reviewer who mentioned that the sea view apartments are not necessarily the best as it faces the area where people site by the pool etc. Much better to have an upstairs room facing the garden which is amazing. I could quite happily sit and look at that garden all day with... more
The Perfect Wedding
In December 2005 we got married at Cobblers Cove Hotel. We had never been to the island but was recommended by my parents who had been a regular visitor to Barbados some years previously. The coach transfer to the hotel took approximately 30-40 minutes and from the initial impression the hotel didn't seem to be at all impressive. How wrong can first impressions be. We were greeted by the Manager, Ross Stevenson with a welcoming rum punch who, throughout our stay makes everyone feel extremely special. As we walked through the... more
12 days in heaven
Just back from 12 nights.Probably the best hotel we have stayed in. From the rum punch when we arrived , to the bottles of chilled water in the taxi when we left, everything was perfet. Suite was lovely, maid service twice daily, constant supplies of real coffee, tea and ice, fridge with plenty of space. Lovely garden view. Staff were friendly and helpful. Restaurant was excellent - extensive a la carte menu which changes weekly plus a daily market menu and daily breakfast specials. Service isn't fast - everything is cooked to order,... more
Amazing Hotel
My husband and I stayed at Cobblers Cove for a week in October and it ended up being the best vacation of our lives thanks to this unbelieveable hotel. We just randomly picked the hotel after reading reviews on Tripadvisor, so we didn't know what to expect. We had never even been to Barbados before but knew we just wanted to go somewhere tropical, relaxing and beautiful. This trip was everything we could have asked for and more. The hotel is perfect for relaxation- gorgeous private beach, the rooms are super clean and tasteful and have a lot... more
