The Westin At Our Lucaya Beach Hotel

me , my cousin, and our friend stayed at the sheraton in the our lucaya resort although the resort looked verry nice with many different pools and the resort had air conditioning but for the 8 days we were there we werent able to spend alot of time on the beach due to locals disturbing us trying to get us to buy jewlery, get our hair braided ect. aslo didnt like the fact that they would come onto the resort at times still trying to sell us stuff or locals that were hitting on us very disrespectful with they things they were saying to us... more

Hello me and my gf stayed for new years of this year at the westin. It was affordable and was very nice. Location is fantastic and the view was very nice ocean view looking at the beach. Service was great and staff friendly. We payed 250 us a night with taxes however it was new years. Also we booked in the hotel lobby usung a lab top and got a much better rate. Never call them directly or you get taken for a ride. cheers

We absolutely loved Grand Bahama. There are many wonderful snorkeling areas and beautiful beaches all over the island. The Marketplace across the street was great. Very reasonable prices for breakfast and lunch. A little more expensive for dinner, but you are on an island after all! The people at the Sheraton (Now the Reef at Lucaya) and the Westin (Now the Radisson) were super nice and friendlier than we expected. We got a great deal at the Sheraton. Had we paid $200 a night we might feel different. But for the price, it was a steal.... more

We booked our stay here as a package through Discovery Cruiseline. The price was very affordable so we were somewhat skeptical, but it turned out to be a fantastic trip. The hotel was very nice, the pools were large and clean and the beach was amazing. This resort had a good family atmosphere and was really very quiet during our stay. The entire place was clean and well maintained. It was cheaper to walk across the street to the marketplace for some meals, but the hotel dining was good and the prices were not unreasonable... more

We visited the Westin "Our Lucaya" Resort for New Years earlier this year. Both my wife and I enjoyed our stay a lot. While the town of Freeport itself is nothing special, the hotel is situated beautifully on a nice beach. The locals were extremely friendly and nice and made us feel welcome. As a Westin, this is a mid-priced resort, and you get good value for money. Sure, it's no Four Seasons, but then it's a lot cheaper. I visited the Sheraton Grand Bahama Island Resort at Our Lucaya from June 26th to the 29th 2009. I arrived before check in time and my room was not ready, so I checked my bags, had lunch and checked email, using the complimentary Wi-Fi in the lobby. After 90 mins or so, my room was ready. My family (4 adults and 3 teenagers) spent 5 nights at this hotel June 18-22, 2009. It was one of the most beautiful areas we have stayed. The grounds and hotel were immaculate. The people were beyond friendly. They seemed like they were generally happy that we were there, not just bringing them business. The pools were so clean, warm and uncrowded. The Marketplace across the street is great for shopping, eating, a break, hanging out in the evenings. Everything felt safe. I would go back here in a heartbeat and recommend it highly.... more
