Just got back from a week at the Faber if you have booked this hotel you can feel safe that you have picked a good one and if you are looking for a place to stay i would recommend it 100%.
For the money i really couldn't fault it, Great Pool. The rooms are a good size plenty of room for 2 with a nice pool facing balcony. Try and get a ground, 1st or 2nd floor as top top floor doesn't have a balcony as such.
The staff there are very helpful and very nice and trustworthy, Adam was a hit with us his real name is Erhan and he was a great help. As for the review below i can say that we also like to eat out at different restaurants and we didnt eat at the hotel one night and they had no problem with us at all. Saying that the restaurant and the food there was fine but we spent most days there and liked to go out in the evening. The bar is open 24/7 so if you come back late and want a drink there is always someone there to serve you.
I think treat people they way you wish to be treated, if you are nice to them they will be nice to you and will love you.
This hotel is great for couple and families of all ages and has a great pool.
I booked this hotel because i didnt want to stay in a massive complex as i did before the Marti La Perla as there as i find it over crowded, if you prefer a bit of down time then this place is great!
If you want to go on trips i'd look around the stalls on the streets as they offer best deals and pick you up from the hotel, Hotel trips were more expensive.
Big supermarket was 5min walk and had everything and the main town centre is a 10min walk, beach 15mins.

often arrived after 4.30 pm when we were in the apartment, only to empty bins or give us towels. There is a bar/restaurant on site, however when we did not eat or drink there the staff ignored us. They seem to be more interested in pampering guests that are spending money. To top it all they accused us of working for a local bar, and said that we were taking guests there....how ridiculous. Needless to say we were disgusted with the attitude of the staff. We love Icmeler and will not let this experience prevent us from visiting again.

This was our second visit to Turkey and we were delighted that we chose the Faber appartments , though in a quiet location, the short walk to the town and seafront and just 10 mins away unless of course you stop for an Efers on route!
The apartments are very well equipped, clean and all have an excellent view of the pool and surrounding mountains. Security is to a high standard with various cameras placed strategically around the site.( you can even watch your children in the pool from your apartment through the tv)
Sheets and towels were changed at least twice a week and more frequently if required, flowers on the bed and towels folded like swans added that extra special touch.
A small accessible supermarket for those bits and pieces was very handy, a Tansas supermarket was only 5 mins away.
The staff absolutely made the holiday, nothing was too much trouble! Adam and the gang are just wonderful, even crazy frog attempted being a belly dancer on our turkish night! You'll be on tv yet!
We only ate on site a couple of times, but each time it was very reasonable. The staff are going to organise some trips, ie: boat, turkish bath etc which I am sure will be well attended.
Only one thing left to say, can't wait to come back and see you all again soon and thank you all for that warm welcome! Pam, Ken and June

Absolutely fantastic place to stay. The apartments are brilliant. Well cleaned, fabulous pool, great staff, couldn't really fault it.
The setting is marvellous, very quiet with the mountains in the background, but still only about 15 mins from all the action, if that's what you want. Probably the best we've stayed in.
Didn't use the Restaurant much. Go to the Old Village to eat (where it's a lot quieter), about 10mins walk away. Eat at Sinbad’s or Miami.
Other Restaurants nearby but never really tried. Town was a bit busier than I thought it would be although I am assured that is classed as quiet! Supermarket about 3 mins from apartments.
Get down to the sea front, walk along the path where the restaurants become quiet again & good value.
Be prepared to be pestered, for everything.....but that's Turkey.
Would have no hesitation in recommending apartments or even going back again ourselves, in spite of the heat wave at temps of 45C.

Just thought I would let you know about the Faber, my Fiance and I have been going to Icmeler for the past 4 years and this is by far the best apartment we have ever stayed in.
The staff are so helpful and friendly, I was 4 months pregnant at the time and they always asked how I was feeling and how the baby was, nothing was too much for them. My fiance had a bad ear infection on the first Sunday of our stay and it was also a National Holiday so we could not find a chemist that was open, so the Manager of the apartments drove him all around Icmeler until he found a chemists and would not take any money from us.
There are plenty of good resturants near by but 2 of are Favorites (and have been for the past 4 years) are the Miami in the Old Village a ten min walk away the food is great and traditional and you are made to feel right at home, and Del Boys which is joined onto a shop also ten mins walk away up the hill, it is a little bit more expensive but still fantastic value for the amount of food you get.
We are going back to the Faber this June and taking our baby girl with us and also my Fiance's Mum and Dad.
Try it you will not be disappointed.

Went to Faber last August 2006 and loved so much we will be going back on July this year.
It’s very friendly place with excellent staff. Rooms excellent. Maid service is wonderful, my wife looked forward to going back to room after they had been because they covered the beds with petals and pretty shapes with towels, and dresses which my girls may have left out.
Faber restaurant excellent. Eating out try the Waterfall or Wayside.

I would just like to say that the Faber apartments were absolutely fab, I have been going to Icmeler for the past 10 years and these apartments were the best by far!
The staff make the holiday complete, they are always there to make you smile and to have a laugh!
Try the Turkish food it taste delicious!
Restaurant wise I think it's better to stay in the village you certainly get your value for money, Miami, Tommy’s and the wayside you should try!
Hope you have a great holiday like we did; we had so much fun we are going again in July 07.

A little trip to heaven! Just wanted to tell you about a trip me and my man took to Turkey 30.05-20.06.
We arrived after a long trip from Iceland about midnight, and then drove by bus for 2 hours until we arrived in Icmeler. First we drove people to hotels in Marmaris, and I knew right away that we were lucky to have chosen Icmeler as our home for the next 3 weeks.
Faber hotel was the place. Really good hotel and the apartments are great, the beds are great and just everything is clean and spotless. The maids do their best to make it good and clean and make roses on the beds everyday! The apartments are very well equipped and have just everything you need. It is a new hotel so everything is really nice.
The pool area is terrific and sun beds are very comfortable. You get full service from the staff if you need a drink ASAP! You could see people stopping everyday to look at the garden and the hotel, stopping when walking by. There were not many people there, just a few Icelanders and Dutch people. Also people came from England.
I would highly recommend this apart if you are planning to go to Icmeler. Also it is well situated, in the old village, not far from very good restaurants, such as cafe rose, wayside and more. Just a 10 min walk to the beach, but the pool are is so nice that we stayed most of the time at home.
The restaurant at the hotel Faber is fabulous. And the chef cooks so good food and everything fresh. They did everything to please us, threw a Turkish night which was very nice with Turkish food and belly dancer, folk dance and break dance, and the whole thing cost 25 liras per person! The menu is good and we often ate at the hotel restaurant. Why look further for a great meal.
The prices at the restaurant are good, and often cheaper then by the sea in Icmeler, where the music is often so high that you can’t even talk to each other!
Restaurants: Faber restaurant is terrific. Wayside is a restaurant near Faber, close to the children’s school in the village. It is absolutely fabulous. Got everything and very classy and tasty, but the price is very nice and you get a lot on your plate! Got very nice chicken dishes, I recommend Wayside nest, and the chicken roulade, yummy. They also have the best cheesecake in town, and the Fried ice cream is to die for!
The next restaurant I want to mention here is called Kardelen, and is the next one to Wayside on the way down to the sea, on the way to Tansas from the village. It doesn’t look like a nice place or a fancy restaurant, but if you like really good and authentic kebabs you should go there. The döner is great and the chicken also. Home baked bread, they have a Turkish oven and the staff is really friendly, although they don’t speak much English. The price is really low, I think 7 liras for a decent kebab meal! Also the Kardelen special is good, that is bread baked in the oven with tahini sesame butter, almonds and honey! Yummmmm.
Finally I would like to mention Cafe Rose. It is a must if you are in Icmeler. Finally we took a walk to find it during our last week, and I was sorry I didn’t take time to find it earlier. First we had salad at lunch time and some sandwich, and Rose’s husband made it so nice and fresh. Cafe Rose is situated in the village. If you are at the right end of the beach, walk up to the main road, where all the shops are along, then you will see a cafe called cafe Anne, there across you see a road up to the hills, up to the village.
It has a sign which says cafe Rosa. Walk up to the village and then you see another sign, a grocer on the corner, you shouldn’t miss it, just ask if you are lost! Rosa has a really nice garden and has a small restaurant in there. She has Turkish nights on Wednesdays and Fridays and cooks authentic meals then. We had meze which were really tasty and then we had chicken casserole and melons for dessert. The price is hilarious, 20 liras p.p. the best Turkish food ever, and the atmosphere unique. A good place to relax and have a little peace from the tourist places everywhere.
Mimosa Restaurant was also good and Deniz Kapizi in the right end of the beach, karaoke and lots of fun!
We did look at some places while we were there. We took a day trip to Rhodos and that was worth a lot. Really nice to visit Greece. But the prices there a bit higher than in Turkey.
We took a boat trip around Gökova bay and that was nice, especially because it was Iceland’s national day and Icelanders all together!
We went into the country and took a trip to see an old woman at her house, we bought the best honey from her. We visited a mosque. We went to a carpet factory, and of course bought a very nice wool on cotton carpet, not dyed, just natural wool. it cost a bit, but it was nice to see something of the country. Next time we will rent a car.
We are in our thirties, but we did not go to any clubs or anything...just enjoying being in a vacation, it is terrible to be hung over in this kind of heat! The weather was really nice everyday, about 35 degrees and sunny. Got tan and no sunburn! The wasps someone told about did not bother us, we saw maybe 4 the whole time, but got about 3 mosquito bites, that was all. Just put roll on before you go to sleep.
We drank a lot of Turkish tea. They also have apple tea, but the original black Turkish tea is really nice, and at the Faber they are making it all day, and drinking along with you. Really good.
We went a couple of times to Marmaris by dolmus, that cost 1,50 lira per person. Taxis are very expensive there. Marmaris is ok, but we liked the old town better than the long road along the beach. That is very touristy. The harbour and the boats are very nice, and if you want to take a boat for rent you have no problem. There are all kinds, small, big, yachts, gullets (Turkish wood boats) And they have all kinds of trips, long or short. Everyone glad to help you out.
We dined at Purple Rain in Marmaris and that was good, but better was a restaurant called Jan De Wit. Very good in every way. The restaurants all want you to join them for dinner, and are very pushy. Just walk on and do not stop and shake hands and have a conversation! It is hard but you soon find out you have to!
What more can I say. Icmeler is just wonderful. It is the first time there is a flight to Turkey from Iceland, direct flight. They had trips in the spring and autumn for the last years but this was first summer flights, once a week. Everyone that were there were really happy about it and in fact it was surprisingly wonderful. We didn’t know what to expect.
We are going back next summer that is for sure. And will stay at Faber apartments. It truly is the best hotel in Icmeler, many people we talked to, people who live there, told that it was the best in the area.
So, just have a nice holiday and enjoy Turkey, ask anything if you think I can answer
Carol: I tried to find you but couldn’t! Rose told me directions, but I didn’t have time to come and say hi. I am very sorry! We will go back next year and then we will pop in! Take care until then!

We were meant to be in the Portobello in Marmaris but were transferred to the Faber due to overbooking.
The staff were amazing they took a lot of flak from holidaymakers due to lack of care from cosmos and the rep.
My son left a brand new pair of trainers in the room when we came home, the manager posted them back to him, and she’s not even bothered about whether we send the money or not, for the postage how nice is that?
The Faber is a lovely apartment block every thing was brand new I would go back there again but not with cosmos.
Try Richards bar at the end of the street its great.

Just landed this morning and had to write to say how fabulous the apartments are. Opened in June this Year, everything brand new a very high 4* standard, Very modern lots of marble and chrome and beech in the rooms. Staff are amazing we all cried when we left. I would recommend you book direct at www.fabertapart.com and not bother with cosmos, because we never saw the rep but hotel staff organised boat trips, fishing trips, taxi to airport and loads more at Turkish prices not rip off tourist prices. Staff really made an effort with all the kids giving them free lollies and goes on table football. Only 29 apartments so not too big but lovely pool with Jacuzzi and fountain Music by pool was great & they will copy you a CD. Food was lovely & reasonable price. Try the Bistro restaurant next door very good, also try Wonder boys Bar in town - best atmosphere.
