three words BEST HOLIDAY EVER!! i cant wait to go back next year! Went for a two week holiday to the faber and as soon as we arrives the staff was brilliant. The hotel room was basic but thats all you need was tidyed everyday the cleaners was wonderful couldnt fault them. The hotel was very tidy and the staff very helpful! me and my boyfriend booked a couply of day trips and i booked with speedy the manager off the bar staff as i found he did have the best prices! The staff did not hassle you to go to the hotel bar but as me and my boyfriend found we would rather stay in the hotel and have a drink as the staff was so friendly. Thank you to all the staff at the faber we had a amazing holiday and i cant wait to go back next year.
DAY TRIPS
While i was over there we went to talk of the town very entertaining! jeep safari haha verry funny 'take a water gun with you though'. we went fishing did not catch one fish!!!! also the lazy day boat trip my boyfriend suffers really bad with sea sickness but did not suffer on either the boat trip or fishing! no appartment on arrival
6 / 10
Jun 2009, sallyk

On first arriving at Faber we were told that they had no booking for us and there had been a mistake somewhere along the line, so had to go to another appartment for one night and then be moved back the following morning, our compension for this was a free breakfast ( not including drinks though )
The rooms although nice , were smaller than expected and the leaking kitchen sink and severe leaking shower were never fixed dispite being reported to reception.
The childrens pool and play area was a joke !!! the childrens pool was about 5 foot circular and the play area was a baby slide and baby swing in a area no bigger then a public toilet .
The appartments were clean and staff friendly, but some of the music by the pool side was more like a ibiza rave than relaxing by the pool , the lyrics to eminem of you [--] [--] certainly were not suitable around the pool side especially for my 5 and 7 year old children to listen to .
would not recommend these appartments to families.
please watch bar bills , as they tried to add on an extra 100 lira which when questioned turned out to be a mistake after all !!
Faber is very much old icelmer and quite a walk to beach and main area .

Oct 2008, Mr N Ingram

This was our 8th time in Turkey and 6th time in Icmeler, we have always gone for self catering in Icmeler, but for the last 2 years been all inclusive in Side. We wanted to return to Icmeler and the last time we were there in 2006 we noticed the Faber apartments being built and said then if we return that is where we would stay.
Well we did and were not disappointed, these were the best self catering apartments we have stayed in. Cleaners were not fantastic, but hey you're in Turkey on holiday and some people think it's the Hilton, no it is not and cleaning was sufficient. The rooms are great and the balcony looks out over the pool, which itself is a good size for apartments in Turkey.
We like eating out so only used the restaurant once, but was is very good, we had no hassle from any of the staff for not eating there, infact Adam was really helpful for our entire stay.
As for eating out, walk down into the centre and there are more than enough restaurants to choose from, our number one recommendation would be the Chef next to the Love Boat, we have eaten here many times over the last 8 years and the food and service have never been anything other than 5 star.
If your fancy any trips I would siggest using the Icmeler Travel Centre, their Gulet day (called Surf N' Turf) is a little more expensive than some but the BBQ is fabulaous and all drink is free, it really is good value.
If you stay in Icmeler, please do not miss the opportunity to walk through what remains of the old village, it is a wonderful experience and the people there will always greet you with a smile.
I could go on, but do not want to bore you, so I will just say if you want a holiday to chill and relax, you will not find anywhere better than Icmeler.
One final note and I guess you will have already guessed, we will be going back next year.
Nick and Adele

Faber has lovely rooms, although you pay for AC. Bar staff lose interest in you when you stop spending at hotel because they are on comission. Lots of bars and restaurants. Nice beach. Good places to eat are Cabana And Wayside. When shopping you do get pestered. Weather was beautiful. I wnt to turkey last year to Olu Deniz it is a bit more classy

Just got back from a week at the Faber if you have booked this hotel you can feel safe that you have picked a good one and if you are looking for a place to stay i would recommend it 100%.
For the money i really couldn't fault it, Great Pool. The rooms are a good size plenty of room for 2 with a nice pool facing balcony. Try and get a ground, 1st or 2nd floor as top top floor doesn't have a balcony as such.
The staff there are very helpful and very nice and trustworthy, Adam was a hit with us his real name is Erhan and he was a great help. As for the review below i can say that we also like to eat out at different restaurants and we didnt eat at the hotel one night and they had no problem with us at all. Saying that the restaurant and the food there was fine but we spent most days there and liked to go out in the evening. The bar is open 24/7 so if you come back late and want a drink there is always someone there to serve you.
I think treat people they way you wish to be treated, if you are nice to them they will be nice to you and will love you.
This hotel is great for couple and families of all ages and has a great pool.
I booked this hotel because i didnt want to stay in a massive complex as i did before the Marti La Perla as there as i find it over crowded, if you prefer a bit of down time then this place is great!
If you want to go on trips i'd look around the stalls on the streets as they offer best deals and pick you up from the hotel, Hotel trips were more expensive.
Big supermarket was 5min walk and had everything and the main town centre is a 10min walk, beach 15mins.

often arrived after 4.30 pm when we were in the apartment, only to empty bins or give us towels. There is a bar/restaurant on site, however when we did not eat or drink there the staff ignored us. They seem to be more interested in pampering guests that are spending money. To top it all they accused us of working for a local bar, and said that we were taking guests there....how ridiculous. Needless to say we were disgusted with the attitude of the staff. We love Icmeler and will not let this experience prevent us from visiting again.

This was our second visit to Turkey and we were delighted that we chose the Faber appartments , though in a quiet location, the short walk to the town and seafront and just 10 mins away unless of course you stop for an Efers on route!
The apartments are very well equipped, clean and all have an excellent view of the pool and surrounding mountains. Security is to a high standard with various cameras placed strategically around the site.( you can even watch your children in the pool from your apartment through the tv)
Sheets and towels were changed at least twice a week and more frequently if required, flowers on the bed and towels folded like swans added that extra special touch.
A small accessible supermarket for those bits and pieces was very handy, a Tansas supermarket was only 5 mins away.
The staff absolutely made the holiday, nothing was too much trouble! Adam and the gang are just wonderful, even crazy frog attempted being a belly dancer on our turkish night! You'll be on tv yet!
We only ate on site a couple of times, but each time it was very reasonable. The staff are going to organise some trips, ie: boat, turkish bath etc which I am sure will be well attended.
Only one thing left to say, can't wait to come back and see you all again soon and thank you all for that warm welcome! Pam, Ken and June

Just thought I would let you know...

Feb 2008, Miss F Farrell

Just thought I would let you know about the Faber, my Fiance and I have been going to Icmeler for the past 4 years and this is by far the best apartment we have ever stayed in.
The staff are so helpful and friendly, I was 4 months pregnant at the time and they always asked how I was feeling and how the baby was, nothing was too much for them. My fiance had a bad ear infection on the first Sunday of our stay and it was also a National Holiday so we could not find a chemist that was open, so the Manager of the apartments drove him all around Icmeler until he found a chemists and would not take any money from us.

There are plenty of good resturants near by but 2 of are Favorites (and have been for the past 4 years) are the Miami in the Old Village a ten min walk away the food is great and traditional and you are made to feel right at home, and Del Boys which is joined onto a shop also ten mins walk away up the hill, it is a little bit more expensive but still fantastic value for the amount of food you get.
We are going back to the Faber this June and taking our baby girl with us and also my Fiance's Mum and Dad.
Try it you will not be disappointed.

Absolutely fantastic place to stay....

Absolutely fantastic place to stay. The apartments are brilliant. Well cleaned, fabulous pool, great staff, couldn't really fault it.
The setting is marvellous, very quiet with the mountains in the background, but still only about 15 mins from all the action, if that's what you want. Probably the best we've stayed in.
Didn't use the Restaurant much. Go to the Old Village to eat (where it's a lot quieter), about 10mins walk away. Eat at Sinbad’s or Miami.
Other Restaurants nearby but never really tried. Town was a bit busier than I thought it would be although I am assured that is classed as quiet! Supermarket about 3 mins from apartments.
Get down to the sea front, walk along the path where the restaurants become quiet again & good value.
Be prepared to be pestered, for everything.....but that's Turkey.
Would have no hesitation in recommending apartments or even going back again ourselves, in spite of the heat wave at temps of 45C.

Went to Faber last August 2006 and loved so much we will be going back on July this year.
It’s very friendly place with excellent staff. Rooms excellent. Maid service is wonderful, my wife looked forward to going back to room after they had been because they covered the beds with petals and pretty shapes with towels, and dresses which my girls may have left out.
Faber restaurant excellent. Eating out try the Waterfall or Wayside.

I would just like to say that the Faber apartments were absolutely fab, I have been going to Icmeler for the past 10 years and these apartments were the best by far!
The staff make the holiday complete, they are always there to make you smile and to have a laugh!
Try the Turkish food it taste delicious!
Restaurant wise I think it's better to stay in the village you certainly get your value for money, Miami, Tommy’s and the wayside you should try!
Hope you have a great holiday like we did; we had so much fun we are going again in July 07.
