This hotel has one of the best locations in Venice. Some of the rooms overlook the Grand Canal, and you are less than 2 minutes walk from St Mark's Square.
The hotel staff are warm and welcoming, and they go out of their way to make your stay as special as possible. In the evening, candles are lit everywhere adding a wonderful atmosphere as you walk through the hotel.
In addition, when you come back to your room in the evening, there is a lighted candle waiting for you in your room as part of the evening turndown service.
One of the best parts of the hotel is the Restaurant Canova. Best food in Venice and outstanding service. Even if you are not staying in the hotel, a trip to this restaurant is a must.
Breakfast is also good, with a large buffet to choose from. The breakfast room is an amazingly ornate grand room, beautiful decoration.
Overall, this is a wonderful hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

The Hotel Luna Baglioni is stunning...

May 2006, Miss S Reed

The Hotel Luna Baglioni is stunning and the service is second to none. It is an expensive hotel due to it being 5 star and located just off St. Marks Square, but well worth it for that special trip.
I booked a suite which overlooked the canal. Typically speaking though, hotel rooms in Venice are much smaller than in the UK. The staff were professional and courteous at all times and make all the guests feel welcome. I would recommend eating in the hotel restaurant at least once during your stay. A little pricey but exquisite food and wonderful service.
Venice itself is beautiful. Recommended activities include a waterbus up the Grand Canal, afternoon tea at Florien's in St Marks Square, St Marks Cathedral and a night time gondola ride. The Doge's Palace is a must but you should allow at least half a day to appreciate it fully.
Venice is renowned for being particularly expensive but I found that walking/waterbus is often the best way to see the city. For a birds eye view, you should definitely take a trip to the top of The Camponile. Breathtaking views and perfect for those holiday snaps.
