Came home yesterday so this is as up to date as it gets. Hotel is spotless, you will not see a fag end on the floor for more than 1 min, the staff and not just the young kids are on the ball 24 hours a day, most talk a bit of English but as most holidaymakers is from france most staff speak French better. Now the things that count, beer is ok but only in them little half pint glasses ,sprits is the local sort and ok when mixed with real coke -cola, be warned only the disco which opens after 12 midnight is the only place to get a late drink and only serves 'UK' brands, and boy do they know how to charge, its only a small disco with like one DJ who’s one of the reps and the night we went in, there was about 10 folks in, but I wanted a beer and it was only place open and we got to hotel at 1am. Left UK at 3.30,so was ready for a beer, and it was 4 Turkish lira for a small bottle of beer and as it was after midnight they only served cola in the bottles and that cost more just for a small cocktail size one, whiskey and the likes work out about £6 and £7 pound a shot (yes that’s pounds not Turkish or euros) and if you want a cocktail get your visa out as its unbelievable, getting away from the bars its hard to fault the hotel, if that is your in the hotel. This complex it really nice but if your in a room out of the hotel you may be maybe half a mile from the main dining hall, and I’m not adding on to that. When it says it’s on and around a bay/cove it is, and boy no way will I knock the bay and beach, the hotel owns them both and only guests use them and they are 1st class, plus both pools is really good. The older pool near the main hotel is very good, nice bar nice eating cafe the only very small shop on site and where most of the reps hang out doing the pool things reps do, and this pool runs on to the beach for all the waters sports. The other pool is more for sunbathing and has brill views over the complex good bars and cafes and id say is one of the best hotel pools iv ever been to. The Thomas Cook reps are young but very helpful and I will in no way try to fault them (all the reps on site are Thomas Cook even the French ones as the complex seems to be only Thomas Cook but they have branches in France etc). Food, the food is the best thing, 3 main times i think it was 7.30/10 12/2 and 7/9 and the food is brill dinners puddings staff allrealy good, off the cooked while you wait bits or out the buffets tables, ever thing about the food /eating is bob on. 1st class. Even the hall itself is nice with a outside patio for the nice days. They is places to eat as well like the Italian etc. which you can use once per holiday but they have set menus and to be honest the main hall is that good we never bothered, they is a down side to this hotel. Don’t even think about it if you have to use a buggy. It is on a nice bay but the downside is the hotels on the top and the sea is at the bottom. With pools and outside rooms between them, yes they is staff run golf cart type things to ring for on the phone in your room but lets be right, I never needed one but myself don’t think id like to be relying on one all the time, and even the paved hotel road is very steep for wheelchairs and I’d say, even a big lad like me. 6.2, 17 stone would struggle to push a chair up to hotel from the beach with out stopping a few times, never mind doing it few times a day. The local town is a nice 20 mins walk away. There the beach is run down and a bit rubbish and id say not really for folks on holiday and id say that if is was a small group of say young girls its a real no, no. Also it seems to me the sort of place you only bother going to once for a look around, shops rubbish, rundown local things, building all over the place and not being a snob but its a bit of a dump, the only big place near by for party nights or real shopping and beer drinking is Kusadasi (think its spelt right) that’s 45 mins away by bus or taxi and sounds good but we never got there so can not really say. Hotel to airport was about 45 mins. Don’t forget to take £10 note each to get a visa to get in to the country, hate paying it plus it only lasts 3 months iv been told but at least you get a stamp in your passport and after about 25 years of going aboard I think its about the 4th stamp I’ve had. Oh by the way, I went for a whisky at the airport bar and was glad I asked how much 1st, it was about 26 Turkish lira for a single, so I said nah ill just have a coffee and never asked how much this was. Nearly dropped off seat, cost bout £3.50 for a mug of Nescafe, so I put 2 sugars in it to get me moneys worth. Oh fags cost about £13.50 for 200 bottle of Bushmills whiskey was 14 euro and do shop around, there are about 4 duty free shops and they're all different prices. Oh no one was on duty at East Midlands at 3.30 in morning but that’s up to you. Lol.

Well what can I say, my family and I had an absolutely great time. The staff bent over backwards to ensure our stay at the hotel was enjoyable as possible, they were always tidying up after you, clearing away empty glasses always with a smile on their face, they even made the effort to talk to you unlike some staff at other hotels I’ve been to.
The hotel is situated about 20 minute walk into the town of Ozdere and a 40 minute taxi ride into Kusadasi. (which costs around £20 each way) try using their local bus service, a "Dolmus" costs around £6 each way.
The food was of an exceptional standard and if you didn’t fancy any Turkish food you could always settle for chips, they had 3 other restaurants that you can pre book yourself into (one time at each) there is an Italian, a fish and a Turkish restaurant. If you go to the fish restaurant make sure you pack a jumper as its situated on decking over looking the beach and can get quite nippy of an evening.
The All Inclusive option is a definite must the bars are open until 12am and the local drinks come in large measures, if you want to drink named spirits such as Archers or Absolute Vodka then be prepared to pay for it.
The rooms were simple but comfortable with fresh towels every other day, they had a small fridge in the room as well as a hair dryer in the bathroom, you even get small portions of shower gel and shampoo to use.
The animation team were very good always getting people up to participate in games and dancing however I found it hard to understand them as they had to explain everything in about 3 different languages and by the time they got round to the English version the other guests were either laughing at the joke that was being made or doing something different so we always seemed to be a bit behind.
I would definitely consider going back there and recommend it to anyone.

I really enjoyed this holiday, myself and my three year old son went with 4 other members of family and all of us enjoyed the two weeks.
Our room was of a high standard, they even moved me and my son so we could be nearer the rest of the family. The hotel and surroundings were spotless. The food was varied and I found finding things for my son to eat no problem at all. The entertainment was of a high standard and we were all impressed at how much work was put into their performances....my son was infatuated by Jeff, the head of entertainment and still talks about him and the shows 5 months on!!!
I agree with other comments about the translations into other languages but this was the only downfall I can find. I would fully recommend this hotel and would consider returning.....if only so my son can show Jeff his spiky hair now he’s grown it to look like him!!!!

We arrived mid afternoon on 4th October 2004, the grounds and entrance foyer were immaculate - staff very efficient and helpful when we requested an upgrade (nothing wrong with the room allocated, we just wanted to be closer to the beach). Room perfect and fabulous sea view!
The resort is a little off the beaten track, which we knew from the brochure, & this suited us, but if you wanted to go farther a field there were plenty of trips and the local Dolmus to take you where you wanted, very cheaply.
The beach and pool areas were immaculate and rubbish collected at least twice a day from the bins which helped keep down the local insect population! Ample sun-loungers and Parasols so no worries about having to get up early in order to get one! The beach is perfect for children being sandy and shallow for a long way out - also cordoned off from the motor sports area making it extra safe. Free pedalos and canoes if you fancied going on the sea.
The 'Animation Team' worked hard all day with various competitions etc. and did a very good job with the evening entertainment considering they were dealing with various nationalities.
The food was as we expected, having gone all inclusive in Turkey before, plenty of selection, something for everyone and as much as you wanted - 3 meals and snacks in between if you wanted. Plenty tea, coffee, soft drinks and alcohol all day.
The only slight problem was lack of seating in the indoor lounge, in the evenings, but the staff were quite happy to bring in tables from outside for you - the hotel is, naturally, geared up for Hot weather, when we were there it was much cooler in the evenings with a northerly breeze blowing (it was only another 3 weeks till they closed for the season!)
All in all an excellent hotel. Good value for money, which we would indeed recommend.

Well I would certainly go back to this hotel in about 5-10 years when the surrounding area of Ozdere is more built up. The hotel is set in lovely grounds and on its own private bay, which is ideal if that’s all you want to do.
The rooms were of basic standard, a bit tatty round the edges and could with a lick of paint. The maid service was excellent. We were there for 2 weeks and I’m pretty sure the room were cleaned and bedding changed everyday.
The food was ok if you were the other side of international. I agree with another comment that the food was served in a prison style service with moody looking chefs behind the counter. Perhaps they were geared towards the end of the season, however, this shouldn’t make a difference as I paid my money like the people in June did...watch out for the hidden chillies in the salad. little devils. My 4 year old never ate anything from the main restaurant for the entire holiday and must say that our party of 7 struggled most nights to find anything hot. Enough about the food ,next to the bar!
Ok for the selection beer vodka wine etc..The bar staff however were born from the same school as the chefs. If you didn’t slip them some euros under the counter forget being served in front of the international clients! Maybe they were looking forward to the end of season as well
Not much in the evenings to do but with our party we made our own, loud entertainment....funny.
If you like quiet, sunbathing and salads this place is for you. If you want a little more then somewhere else is best..

Fantastic holiday. Brilliant animation team. Rooms really big with good views of the resort. Food varied, plentiful and caters for all tastes. The only comment l can make on the minus side is that there is no dancing and not a lot to do in the evenings after dinner. Although the animation team work extremely hard most shows were boring, expecting audience participation . After listening to explanations in german, french and russian, we finally got some english. Do not be put off though, well worth a visit.

Travelling by myself with 2 children I was worried about what I had let us all in for. The moment we got there we dumped our bags and headed straight for the pool, with the beach one minute away we were spoilt for choice, that was the start of a perfect holiday.
The Club Sultan Hotel and surroundings were fabulous as were the staff and animation team. We cannot think of one bad thing about this resort, if you can, go. We will be going back ASAP.

This was my wife and daughter’s first time to Turkey and we weren’t disappointed. The rooms where well equipped and our room was looking out across the bay. The Club Sultan Hotel also boasts excellent facilities.
The food was superb, part of going to another country for us is sampling their cuisine, which was very tasty but if you like plain bland food it probably won’t be for you . The deserts where the best I’ve seen anywhere. The hygiene standards where very high and the staff clearing the tables were very efficient.
The bars where excellent, the beer is very nice although the staff could do with a lesson in pulling a beer (huge head). The bars are open from 10am until midnight and for those who want to go on drinking until the small hours there is a disco, which is open until 3am. The drinks are chargeable in here, but very reasonable (£1.20 a beer).
The best thing though about this hotel where the animation team, assembled from all over the world, Belgium, Russia, Ukraine, Senegal, France and of course Turkey Providing a very cosmopolitan atmosphere. The Club Sultan Hotel provides the perfect platform for all to enjoy a wonderful holiday. I would definitely reccomend it and would go back there.

My fiancée and me choose this hotel from the brochure where it really looks nice. We enjoyed our room in front of the sea and the hotel facilities as well. Everything was very clean as well.
We didn’t like the food at all - the taste, not knowing what it was, the way it was served (like in a prison were you queue with your plate and there is someone in a bad mood throwing food at it you). We didn’t like the drinking plan either - the lack of variety (there was only gin, vodka and brandy available as white drinks and beer and wine) we drink rum and there was no similar. A Bacardi would have to be paid and it would cost £6!!! that’s more than in London downtown!!!
The personnel didn’t impress us either, apart from a few exceptions.
The small spa provided a really good service a good value for money and the personnel was very good and attentive. Two of the entertainers (from Belgium) were really good as well, the others would walk thru the hotel not even smiling at the guests. Most of the personnel would simply ignore you.
Conclusion: beautiful hotel with nice facilities in the wrong place and the wrong management. What a pity.
Will not go back and will not recommend.

Had a great time in this hotel, great food, good selection and range. Facilities are extremely good. Excellent for children of all ages. Water sports available. The Animation team keeps people occupied from 1000-2400. I would certainly recommend the Club Sultan Hotel to anyone. I will go back there again.

We have just returned from our holiday, and cannot recommend this holiday high enough. We had great weather which always helps but the Hotel was superb, very clean, no litter anywhere, In fact my wife and I had a competition to see who could spot the first piece of litter, but nobody won.
Although most of the guests are French, which is also the dominant languages used in the hotel, all the staff were extremely helpful to us Brits, and nothing was too much trouble.
The food was magnificent and the choice very extensive, so even the most fussy of eaters could find something to their taste, and as well as the main restaurant, you could eat at the areas around the swimming pools, at nearly anytime of the day.
The all inclusive included bottled water which some places do not include and can work out expensive over the course of a holiday. Local beer was very good, and you could have as much as you wanted, the wine varied depending on which bar you got it from, but was OK.
The hygiene standard in the restaurant was first class, all the staff handling food had gloves and hats, and the buffet counter was topped up right to the end of the eating time, so if you went in at the last minute you would still have a full selection.
The Hotel amenities were first class with a Top swimming pool over looking the beach giving the illusion of the pool continuing into the sea, this part of the hotel had only been completed 4 months ago and so is not in the Thomas cook brochure.
Entertainment for the children was excellent, and you could be kept busy all day, They have some fairground rides and water sides, and lots of activities going on all the time, the staff looking after the children worked very hard, evening entertainment for adults was a little sparse.
Locally you can get around easily enough using the local Buses, called Dolmus into Kusadasi was 3.5 euro one way per person, and takes about 45 minutes, drivers are all very helpful and stop any where to let you on and off it is on their route.
Good bargains to be had but you have to barter, there are only a few shops outside the Hotel, but they are worth going into as we got some better deals there then in the market place.
Best to take Euros rather then Turkish lires as Euros are accepted everywhere
We look forward to going back there for our next holiday, we did not want to leave.
