I spent a long weekend in Iceland with my girlfriend and had a terrific time.
We flew with Icelandair. The flight was on time, clean and the economy seats had good legroom and light food.
The hotel was clean and tidy, if a little sparse. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The capital is only small and the hotel is in easy walking distance of most of it (10-15 mins walk to the harbour).

We stayed at the Leifur Eiriksson Hotel for 3 nights and it suited our needs for exploring the city.
Our room was clean but very small - we were out for most of the days so didn't find this too much of a problem. The staff were very helpful and assisted us in booking a couple of tours.
There wasn't a great deal of choice for breakfast - just toast and cereal.
The location is excellent and would recommend staying here if you don't want a big walk to the bars and restaurants Reykjavik has to offer (especially in winter when it is cold and icey)!
The price was also quite reasonable compared to other hotels in the city centre.
We had a great holiday in Iceland and I would definately recommend a visit.
