Le Meridien Park Atlantic Hotel

We booked on relatively short notice and were relatively happy with the hotel. We read other reviews so knew to expect something closer to 4star for 5 star hotels in Portugal/Lisbon. This was our first visit and first stop out of 3 hotels in Portugal. We stayed at the Sofitel later in the week for a little bit more and LOVED it. Probably would have stayed there if we planned just a little bit earlier. Just returned from a four night break at the Le Meridien Atlantic Park and it was an excellent hotel. We were well looked after from room service to the restaurant.The hotel is slightly out of the centre,but taxis are cheap compared to other european cities. Bar prices are a bit steep so I would recommend that you drink some place else. Overall a great experience and good value for money.

Overall I have to say this hotel is a winner. We paid €85 per night per room which is very little for 5-star hotel. The location isn't brilliant, it's a bit of a walk from the main area of the city but if walking isn't a problem then this is a great option. Plus there is a metro stop only about 5-6 min walk away which takes you to city centre and the same line will take you to a El Corte Ingles and the huge Columbus Mall if shoppings your thing. we spent 7 nights at this hotel and had a great experience there. We had booked through booking-- and had managed to found a very low rate (85 euros per night whereas an average room would cost 350 and our junior suite would cost 1000!). Value for the money was therefore a very good point if compared to other nearby 3 stars hotel, which definitely had nothing to do with Meridien in terms of comfort and cleanliness... My wife is in wheelchair and was very difficult for us to move through this hotel because of its inexperience staff not understand special needs. Not happy with result of trip and management not helpful either, when ask to speak with someone always 'busy' 'on phone' 'call back' but never do so. We only stay there 2 days out of 6 and go to other hotel where staff much more helpful. Pay more, but get much better result. Not recommend this hotel.

We booked two rooms for the weekend of 7 July, each for Eur 117 from the Starwood website. As we had our three young children with us, we asked for interconnecting rooms on check-in. While these were not available, we were given two rooms across the corridor from each other. The rooms were reasonably sized, furnishings were good and the air conditioning worked very well. We got an unbelievable rate of 98 rate per room per night on the hotel's website which included a buffet breakfast. The location could not have been better as it is within a stone's throw from the Marque de Pombal metro stop. We could easily walk to the Placa de Commercio from the hotel. The room wasvery luxurious and the bathroom had separate his and hers basins. Just loved the Meridien Atlantic Park Hotel in Lisbon. Yes, it's a bit of a walk to the main city areas but it doesn't really matter as it's downhill and you can get a (very cheap) taxi back. It is certainly better than the Ritz next door - what an ugly building. We did have a drink there to be nosey but very stuffy and dated! My husband and I stayed at the Le Meridien in Lissabon from 12.April over easter up to the 18.April for six night`s. We stayed in a superior room , non smoker on the 11th floor and we enjojed it very much. The room was clean, the bathroom nice with body lotion and other things, the bed ( queensize ) was a dream ( I sleept much better then at home ) and the view from our room over the city was magnificient. Stayed there for 5 nights. Pleasant checkin. We wanted a room with 2 beds. We got it. Note however that the 2 single beds are quite small. We were on the 10th floor. Views were very good. U can still walk to the centre but I wish we'd stayed closer. All in all good hotel but "that little plus" was missing for a five star hotel, reason why I booked it. If u get a good deal (moneywise), I am pretty sure u will have a good stay!!!
