Visited this hotel from August 7 till August 14. A lot of noise at the main swimming pool, music stood far too loud. At the other swimming pool at the other side of the hotel it was not easy to find a deck chair. You had to get up at 7 am to reserve one. Food was excellent... more

The hotel itself, is very picturesque. You can stay in either the apartments on the hills or in the attached hotel. We stayed in the apartments that consisted of a separate room with a double bed and a room with 2 single beds/couches, they also had either a small patio area... more

Fabulous
We went in June 2007 and had a fantastic time, would not recomend this hotel for the infirm as it is built on a steep incline and was very steep for us (who are still able at 49 yrs) however there are little buses who will take you to your bungalow. The bungalows require refurbishment and desperately in need of new mattresses as they are extremely hard, my companion said it was the hardest thing she had felt all week!! The food was absolutely great, fantastic choice, the staff were second to none (so friendly and helpful) enjoyed the water park which was part of the all inclusive package but unfortunatley this has now been removed. The Pine Bay is a great place for children too although we didn't have any with us. The previous review I read about the guitarist is completely true and it would better if there was a variety or even background music. All in all had a great holiday and will definitely be going back this year.
Freewheeling in Turkey
We stayed for a week in the Pine Bay Holiday Resort: from octobre 2nd til octobre 9th. The weather was above all expectations: beautifull, sunny weather, 28 -> 30 degrees, sea water temperature: 22-> 24 degrees. Pine Bay is a beautifull place. Big but extremely well organised. Staff is always polite and mostly kind. Food is miraculous in its offer and variation, we did not regret a single minute of our stay. Love to go back. Don'ts: don't go on an organised tour! Hire a car and discover that part of Turkey for yourself. It is that much cheaper, and you'll be in control of your freetime yourself. Certainly to do: visit the Milli Parki. National Park about 28 km south of Kusadasi. If in the dry season: forget the walk in the canyon: all you eat is dust..... but: delicious beaches....
Grotty, Grotty, Grotty!
I've just returned from a week at the Pine Bay and for the first time i'm actually glad to get home following a holiday. This hotel apparantly is 5*, well I'd be hard pushed to give it 2*. Booked last minute, all inclusive we were assurred this hotel had all the amenities, we booked a family room overlooking the sea, on arrival we found we had been given a tiny twin room near the main dining room, amazingly they realised their mistake and moved us the next morning. The hotel is more like a leisure centre, no personality, constanly smells of bleach although not very clean. The rooms are dingy and the whole place looks tired and dated. The food is diabolical and if you like cats, good, because the place is full of strays wandering around the tables as you eat! As it was the end of the season everything had closed, including the beach bars and restaurants, so we were left with a snack bar offering dried pizza, burgers and cold, fatty chips. No entertainment except a guitarist who quite frankly had us wanting to slash our wrists after one night! Avoid this place at all costs and head for Icmeler, Marmaris and stay at the Marti, now that is 5*.
value for money
We were quite anxious about staying here considering some of the reviews we had read about the hotel. In a nutshell it's value for money and a really great hotel for families. The drive from the airport is about 1.5hrs (circa EUR100) if you get a private taxi, which we did on the way back, painfully long drive by coach which stops off at the coach drivers' brothers cafe on the way to extract more cash off you otherwise! Situated on a steep hill, the hotel has large outdoor and indoor pools, a really fab kids club and ampitheatre for entertainment. There's a choice of bungalows or hotel rooms. The accommodation is basic three star but adequate. Bungalows are a bit mean on the AC but clean and really pleasantly landscaped on the hillside. There is a fight for the sunbeds so getting up late and getting a sunbed is not an option, everyone has their pet spots so get up early or lose out - really sad! The food is what you would expect but there is a wide choice and they vary the theme every night based on the other restaurants they have on site. The Turkish restuarant down on the shore is really quite nice and makes a change to the buffet. The free access to the water park is a great deal and the park is really good, much variety for kids and adults alike and the dolphins are next door as well. There is a team of resort photographers who are really pushy and they don't take 'no' too easily! The photo's are EUR7 each! Also, don't bother taking turkish lira, they all accept Euros even though they're not in the gang! They stitch you up on the exchange rate as well from Lira to Euro so just save the ache and take Euros. I would recommend this resort for families who want value for money and good entertainment for a week.
Pine Bay Holiday Resort: Perfect location, great value for the money
Hi everybody, I just came back yesterday after 10 great days in Kusadasi, Pine Bay Holiday Resort. It was a good choice staying there so me and my wife had a pleasant holiday. The hotel is located on a hill near Adaland aqua park and it has two mahor accomodation places: bungalows and main hotel. The reception is located in the main building and the people from there are very nice and attentive. They exchanged our room in the first day without problems and comments (the first one had 2 beds and we wanted a single french bed). We stayed in the main hotel at the last floor (9th) and we had a fantastic panorama (you can see from there the entire resort and the see - 30 km away - with all the mountains around). The rooms are spacious, clean, the bathroom is cozy, no problems here. The swimming pool is a great one, placed at the middle of the hill, in front of main building. The hotel has its private beach with sunbeds and umbrellas and also a marina where you can rent various water sport equipments. The water is blue and very clear (you can see the bottom even at 5m depths). The food & drink part is very well covered. There is a main restaurant where you can serve the main 3 meals, but there are also bars near the pool, near the marina and near the beach where you can eat and drink in the middle of the day. In the main restaurant there are special nights (italian, mexican, turkish) whern they provide specific food from that country but there is always plenty of international cuisine food. The cookies are fantastic (like always in Turkey) and you have plenty of cakes and sweets all the time. The bars are all over the place both outside and inside the hotel, also you can serve cakes and icecream in the afternoon. There is also a panorama restaurant on a peninsula inside the resort where you can book the a la carte evenings. In the night you can see from there the lights of Kusadasi city and from time to time a cruise ship leaving the harbour. Also in the resort there is an open space amphitheatre where all the evening events are held (turkish night, various shows, children disco). You can find a bar and a cafe also at the amphitheatre. You have animators during the day near the pool and on the beach that will start games and provide the fun for the tourists. If you want some photos in the sunset, the photographers of the hotel will be happy to start a photo shooting just for you and you can choose afterwards if you want to buy or not the pictures (you have a nice place inside the hotel where you can check the photos of the day on LCD monitors and order some pictures if you like them). It was a great holiday for us, the hotel met our expectations in every way and we were happy to be there. We definitely recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to spend quality time in Kusadasi. We would like to thank to the hotel employees for the kindness and the smiles that were always on their faces.
Fantastic Place - More Than a Hotel
We have just returned from 10 days at the Pine Bay Resort in Kusadasi, Turkey. Prior to booking we checked this website for other peoples reviews and it is a mixed bag. We decided to do this report to give the resort justice. It is very, very good. The food is of very high standard and there is plenty of choice. They hold themed evenings every night and the Turkish night was without doubt the best - natrually! They do mexican, japanese and a whole host of others. For lunch and dinner there are 20 different types of bread, untold varities of salads loads of different meats, and lots of puddings to choose from. The all inclusive package is basic in as much as the included spirits are limited to gin, vodka, whisky and brandy with the local raki available aswell. The beer is nice and obviously they offer Coke, Fanta, Sprite and loads of different fruit squashes. They do however offer local fruit liquoers too which are quite nice. They do a cocktail of the day which changes daily and are pretty good it has to be said. The facilities are extremely good and there are plenty of areas to eat and drink in additiopn to the main restaurant with 5 bars and 3 snack bars. You also get to eat a'la carte twice in the panorama restaurant which is exceptionally good with lovely food and a fantastic setting. The beach is lovely although a bit stony in places but this doesn't spoil it as it is totally private to the resort and is plenty big enough. The swimming pool is huge and extremely clean but was a little cold, the sea was warmer but we did go there at the end of the season. The watersports are good and we took advantage of their facilities. We stayed in a sea view bungalow which was addequate - in fairness was probably not five star but was clean, nicely appointed and had a fantastic seaview. It was cleaned and replinished with clean towels daily as was the mini bar with coke and water - coke stopped after 7 days however!!! If we have any complaints it would be that some of the staff are less helpful and friendly than others but this is probably down to the all inclusive thing. The other thing is that because the resort is built into a hill it is very hilly to get round and not for the faint hearted or inferm! This said they do provide a shuttle service around the resort so not a fair critsism really but was a fair trek back to the bungalow. The rooms are attached to the main building however. We would certainly recommend this resort to anyone wanting to go to Kusadasi.
We liked
Hello! some words about our vacation in Kusadasi this year. we riched Pine Bay late at night, our plane landed in Bodrum and we had two hours transfer from there. But the meeting in hotel was so friendly. We had never been Turkey and now i can say that loved that service, we met only nice and pleasant people in hotel. Pine bay was really friendly, we enjoyed our staing every day. We lived in bungalow rooms, It was two small room, not so large, but we came there only to sleep. There was nice garder on hills around our bungalow, and sea view from the balcony. We really liked. But if you dont like to walk on hills, you should book a Hotel rooms. Territory of the hotel is so large, we even hadnt visited some places. Hotel has contract with Adaland for this season and the entrance was free for the guests from Pine Bay. Adaland closed to Pine Bay about 10 min. Food was exellent!! expect breakfast, dinner and supper, we can tasted pizza and sandwiches in beach bar or pool bar. All drinks and foods was free, we booked All inclusive. Every day food was fresh and tasty. It is only some pleaser things about this wonderful hotel! I think that we will return somewhen in this nice place))
absolutely loved it !!!
We stayed at Pine Bay Holiday Resort for 1week our only regret is that we didn't have 2weeks here. We stayed in the bungalows which we found to be very comfortable and clean, the fridge was topped up everyday with bottled water and coke, the sheets were changed every other day and clean towels were provided everyday! Pool/beach towels were also available. There is a shuttle bus on hand to take you anywhere within the grounds, security is good though we never experienced any trouble at all.The entertainments team worked tirelessly all day around the pool and beach. In the evening at the ampitheatre there was a childrens show followed by a family show that finished at 11pm and then we headed off to the beach to party until 2am!! Something for everyone here! I recommend the a la carte restaurant- the fish night was to die for-make sure you don't eat much during the day! Choice of cocktails was good and all the wines and local alcholic drinks were very pallatable, as was the food with plenty of choices for everyone, even the children had there own dishes to choose themselves. The whole layout of this holiday resort has been thought out so well. Every staff member including the cleaners are so helpful and keen to please.Hoping to go back September. You will not be dissapointed! Carol from Kent
Can't stop raving about this place!!!!!
First of all, this place should NOT be mixed up with The Pine Bay MARINA Hotel.....it's NOT the same place. Secondly, you HAVE to go to the Pine Bay Hotel Resort, it's a fabulous place! I read all the reviews about this complex with interest before I travelled, and thought I would put my opinion of the place up for all see now that I am back. It's a sprawling resort in it's own bay, as the name suggests. There are rooms availble in the Hotel and then there are the BUNGALOWS, which is where we stayed. They are basic. No cooking facilities, but who needs it when you have ALL INCLUSIVE?? There's a mini bar. Within our Thomas Cook package, we had 2 bottles of coke and 2 bottles of water replenished every day. We were allocated a family bungalow for the 2 of us; 2 twin beds in the bedroom and 2 single beds in the lounge area, patio and terrace with a GORGEOUS SEA VIEW! The bathroom was perfectly adequate with a large shower. The bungalows receieve maid service everyday and in 1 week, we had our sheets and towels changed 3 times! There's so much FOOD to try...I gained at least 3 pounds! If you like bread, you'll be in heaven....at least 6 different types and SO FRESH. Pitta's and borek's prepared and baked in front of you...I could go on and on, the food was divine! We were lucky enough to be able to eat out on the huge terrace at the beginning of our holiday, with fantastic sea views. The Poolside Snack bar is open from 10am until 6pm....so if you miss breakast or lunch you can grab something here. They also serve icecream and afternoon tea from there. Then there's soup at 11pm if you really need it! The DRINKS. Tuborg beer on tap, along with local spirits and cocktails, plus soft drinks, tea and coffee. No need to pay for a branded spirit unless you really are into them, the local stuff is just as good. The Piano Bar at the Reception level is a lovely place to enjoy a drink at anytime, with some comfy leather sofas and in the evening they have a musician playing, it was ALP for our week; very good, although I didn't want to sit and listen to him every night. Theres the Fuaye Bar too which has views over the indoor pool within the atrium. Theres a bar by the outdoor pool too and another at the snack bar near the indoor pool.....so lots of places to get a drink! The ANIMATION TEAM are really good at their job. They don't pester you at all. The 5 main characters are from Tunisia....including Rio, Momo, Mido and Joe (I can't remember their bosses' name!). Get to know them, they are a really good bunch of guys. The GUESTS were mainly from Holland and Belgium, with a few French, Italian, German and VERY FEW BRITISH, which I personally like. There was no fighting over the sunbeds (for which you get free towels), although it might be different in high season! We are going back as soon as possible.....we didn't see too much of Kusadsi as we wanted to relax and recharge our batteries....but we will do more next time. If anyone wants anymore info, please feel free to get in touch. I will be posting PHOTO's later under a separate review, look out for them!
Had high expecations then got disapointed
Stayed at the hotel for an international conference. Intial greeting was nice as well as the welcome packet. Beach looked lovely but it was too cold to go in (it was november) Meals were OK. Was given the room furthest from the desk even though hotel was not booked. Room airconditioning did not work properly. Shower/tub had mold in it. I have stayed in many places in Turkey and will not go back to Pine Bay again
