An unusual hotel (formerly a convent)...

An unusual hotel (formerly a convent) which has been modernised to a good standard and has a very dramatic atrium, leading up to a cigar lounge for those who want to relax over a selection of cigars and brandies. It is located in a quiet residential area but within a short walk of the city centre and the main attractions.
Service is good, and breakfast substantial. We lunched in the dining room when meeting up with friends for the day and found the food to be excellent (though a little on the expensive side). Bedrooms are small but are clean and well-furnished.

I was hoping this hotel would live up to my expectations...and it did in a big way!!! The hotel is in a quite location, but in the middle of town. I was blow away with how breath taking the hotel is. The Alliance Couvent des Minimes was so clean and every room is massive, including corridors, lobby, bar and the rooms themselves. Our standard double room had a separate toilet from the bathroom which had a bath and could had fit a bed in. We found the staff to be welcoming and helpful giving me the reassurance to visit France for a second time. We have booked this hotel again!
