Opus Apart is clean, well run, staff marvellous. The Chef, Jimmy cooks wonderful food. There's nothing bad at all to say about these apartments. We had an amazing week there and look forward to many more!

The opus is a clean well run hotel. The staff can not do enough for you, the grounds are beautiful and it has a good size pool. The hotel is out the way but the Dolmus run frequently into the town where there are plenty of shops and pubs. And there is a large supermarket... more

superb service!!
we stayed at the Opus for the first time in may. we stayed half board. we were late and tired on arrival and although the chef had closed and cleaned the kitchen, he opened up and cooked us a lovely meal. a sandwich would have been sufficent, but we were very grateful. the accomodation is spacious, basic and spotlessley clean. the room was cleaned and towels changed more often than promised and the restaurant and around the pool was also very, very clean. the staff were very friendly and helpful. the pool is lovely as are the grounds. we did find the street dogs noisy at night, but this is typical and the hotel cannot be blamed for that! tansas and migros supermarkets are within 10 minutes walk, and we bought 2 mugs in tansas for 20p each as the cups in the room are tiny. we also took a travel kettle. it is usual for there not to be a kettle so this is not a critisism. there was a safe in the room (either 0.65 pence or free depending on what deal was booked) and air con (£2.50 aday) which is reasonable and much needed in summer months. hairdryer is in bedroom. we ate most nights in the hotel as we were half board. the chef, jimmy is very obliging. i noticed that even those on self catering were eating in, which is to jummy's credit as there is more than enough selection in town!! the main bus station is within 8-10 minutes walk. you can get anywhere locally or countrywide from there. it takes about 15 minutes to walk to town or catch a dolmus from the main road. the staff work long hours and always try to accomodate your requests with a smile. i found that most guests treated staff with respect, which is what they deserve. we left a good tip at the end of our stay which we felt was much deserved. cleaners tip we left in the room. we were very a happy there and would highly recommend it to those who appreciate excellent customer service and spotless, basic accommodation at a good price.
Great place!
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are huge and clean and have an attached kitchenette and living room. It was very refreshing after a few tiny Turkish hotel rooms. One thing to be aware of: Kusadasi in general shuts down during the off-season. Opus didn’t offer a breakfast because of this, and many nearby restaurants were closed for the same reason. They apologized and seemed aware of it, inviting us to come back in the summer. When a fruitless search for dinner late one night ended without any luck, the hotel clerk helped us order delivery and brought it up to our room.
Fantastic Holiday
We booked for a week in Opus apartments, was fairly last minute - booked through On The Beach. Able to book the flight and accomodation separately via this site - so chose First Choice flight to Bodrum; and week self catering at Opus. We also booked the transfers from the same site which were excelent. Like most other people on this site, I cannot fault Opus in any way shape or form! The staff were wonderful, they couldnt do enough to make your holiday the best ever. Food in the restaurant was great (Chicken Shish was the best!). I was concerned about the comments about the walking distance to the town. It was a 10 minute stroll to get into town, perfect after a meal, to walk off our fat tums! We took a tour to Pammukale - which was brilliant - I thoroughly enjoyed the day! We took a Dolmus to Ephesus - we'd been before on a tour and wanted to take our time looking round. For 3.50 Turkish Lira each way, it was brilliant. I would recommend the Opus apartments to any age or group - we loved every minute of it.
great hotel for a budget
Just came back from a 2 weeks stay at the opus apartments. As my husband is Turkish we have been to kusadasi many times. We was on a budget so we booked the Opus and it was great. The rooms are clean and plenty of space for a family of 4 in a one bed. It is in a nice part of Kusadasi because it is far enough away from the town centre but not too far so you hop on the bus........5 mins. The staff were friendly and the food was great. Free internet was a bonus. To call England was cheap not like many of the hotels. Also the safe box key is free.
first time in turkey.. loved the opus, staff brilliant
booked trip last minute, booked monday night, travelled wednesday! Was abit weary about going to turkey but there was really no need, before we went we looked at some reviews on the opus, every one was good only negative issues seemed to be the hotel location. We can honestly say the location was fine, town centre or beach within walking distance if you enjoy walking otherwise taxis or minibuses are always on hand if needed for next to nothing.Kusadasi was a lovely place, brilliant harbour, massive ships coming in and out, take your camera. Opus aparthotel is very very very family friendly, the manager and his wife were always around along with their children. Rooms were cleaned every couple of days, pool area was always spotless. Food was fantastic. All the staff work very hard and everyone is friendly. Even the chef used to come out for a boogie some nites. Entertainment brilliant, some really good shows on, be prepared to try belly dancing and even break dancing, the kids have their own little holiday dances. Can not fault the opus in any way, hoping to go back next summer for three weeks, most familys return year after year so the staff must be doing something right. Enjoy the opus, never thought we'd go the same place twice but we are defo returning opus next year.
Opus Hotel - Wonderful hotel - made our holiday
Just returned from 2 weeks at the Opus Hotel in Kusadasi. The hotel is situated quite some distance from the sea front and walking there is not a option considering you would have to cross a dual carriageway. Thankfully, local Dolmus buses are cheap and frequent. What made this holiday such a success was the excellent amenities at the hotel and the superb staff. Definitely the most friendly and helpful hotel staff I have come across. The food was excellent, plentiful and inexpensive. We used the hotel as our base to visit the many historical ruins in this area of Turkey. This is my second visit to Turkey and I can confirm that the Turkish people are most genuinely hospitable we have met. In Kusadasi town you will get the usual pestering by the shop keepers, however if you chat to them the "banter" can sometimes become quite hilarious. I would take exception to the general description of Kusadasi as an out & out tourist resort. It is more like an industrial town that accommodates some tourists. Cruise ships arrive daily and the shop keepers hike their prices accordingly so beware. I would probably return to Kusadasi in the future & would definitely stay at the Opus Hotel - it was that impressive.
opus very friendly hotel
Very friendly hotel, would recomend for family's. 3 star hotel which it was (most in turkey are more like 2 star). The rooms were very spacious. The staff could not do enough for you. Although we spent quite a lot of time outside the hotel, the manager came out to wave us off, when we left. The hotel is situated in a residential area. There are 2 large supermarkets within a 5 min. walk. The town centre is a 15 min. walk. We booked this trip in the UK with Fly Brits who also use the name Vision Holidays. I would NOT recomend this company. We received no paperwork (although requested) only e-mails. Our fight was changed to another airport 1 week prior to departure. This was a 5 hour transfer although we were told 2.5 hours. Also a name was wrong on the flight tickets. Gold trail and other companys go to this hotel please use them !
loved Opus Apart Hotel
We had a weeks stay at Opus and found it to be very very clean, all the staff were so helpful and very kind to us. The hotel had a fantastic feel, felt like we had stayed with friends. Well done to all the staff (they work so hard) and the Manager for a wonderful stay and hope this review helps people stay at Opus. (please note that this is a little off the main road, but a short walk will take you to the bus stop and the taxi rank. Felt a little scared in the evening if we walked to the bus stop it is throug a residential area not a lot of lights but a taxi can ordered and be at the hotel in a few mins.)
Fab Time at Opus
Jane and Ross We've just come back from the Opus apartments and we thought it was fabulous - the staff couldn't do enough for us and were very helpful informing us about the local sights and travel. The pool was very big and had loads of sun beds, plus the lovely gardens next to the pool also had more sunbeds and tables for eating. The room was clean and bright and had a balcony, plus we had clean towels and sheets every 2 days. The hotel is a short dolmus (minibus) ride away from town - it's a very short walk to the main road and then every dolmus that passes seems to go in to town - we never had to wait more than a couple of minutes before we got picked up. Plus the hotel is right near the coach/bus station so it's easy to get dolmuses to places like Ephesus, Pamucak and Selcuk, rather than going into town and then trying to find the right dolmus. Don't go on the expensive tours to Ephesus - they charge on average 40 euros per person. We got the local dolmus there and back from the bus station near the hotel (1.5 euros per person each way) and then getting in was another 5 euros per person, plus we didn't have to follow a tour group round, not being able to stop and look at things when we wanted. All in all, having talked to other people we met during the week, we counted ourselves very lucky to have gone to the Opus Apartments. Loads of people go back there each year, so it must be doing something right! One last point, Vision Holidays (our tour co) were rubbish! The rep arrived an hour late on our first day and literally couldn't speak any english, so trying to book a tour was a nightmare. We did book one tour and they arrived an hour late on the day, so we missed out on a part of the tour because of it. They kept telling us they would send us a fax to let us know when we were going to be picked up from our hotel for the return journey back to the airport, but they never did and we had to keep phoning them nearly every day until we got a firm answer from them.
