I went to this hotel for my girlfriends birthday. The location is good, very pleasant staff. The decor of the hotel is quite up market, lots of arty paintings on the walls & a very swish bar & restaurant just set down a few stairs from the lobby. The rooms are great, nice & big, with futuristic designs & always very clean.
The restaurant was very nice, service was quick & the food was good. Sat in the bar a few nights, listening to traditional Irish music with a glass of Jameson's! Very relaxing!
There is a tower built just next to the hotel, which is basically the old distillery chimney with a lift on it. You get a great view from the top, over Dublin. Visited the Guinness brewery, a very informative day, what with the tourist busses driving around giving you info on the sights & then the trip around the brewery. It was great! Plus you get a pint at the top & another great view! Also saw Dublin Zoo, which is worthy of mention, because it's one of the best zoo's around, massive grounds, happy animals etc!
If I was going back to Dublin at some point I would definitely stay at this hotel, it's a great find!
