The rooms are well priced considering it is minutes away from Temple Bar.
The biggest topic with regards to this hotel is that there is nightclub / pool hall built into the hotel on the ground floor. On a Saturday night there is some noise to be heard, but on all other days we only heard minor amounts of noise over night. The customer service, we found one of the receptionists a bit rude but the other 2 were fine.
A bonus with this hotel is that the bus takes over right near when dropping off and going to the airport.

So the Irish music called, the taste of Guinness was with me and Ryanair's 1p only fare's were too much to resist. Ireland here we come!
I booked this when Ryanair had a 1p promotion on, no taxes and charges... just the penny and away you went (providing you had no luggage to check in).
I’d spent the previous week asking Irish passengers travelling with the airline I work for what Dublin was like, what to see and do but most importantly, if they had heard of this hotel we were staying in. Mixed opinions flooded in about the hotel and area (Camden Street) which made me rather anxious.
Anyway we'd booked a triple room with a cot for my 9 month old daughter, hired a JCB low loader, and went to the airport. Flights were on time but the walk on arriving at Dublin airport was no longer funny when you eventually got to the end.
Unfortunately Caitlin had ate our confirmation of the hotel on the outward journey, so we had bits of important document missing and tried to pull them out of her mouth without success. 2 confirmation emails were sent. On arriving I noticed 1 said private bathroom and the other said (shock horror) SHARED Bathroom! I was fuming at the thought of having to share a lav with other people (I like my privacy).
I had an embarrassing occasion with a shared bathroom one time involving being starker’s, going to the toilet and an automatically locking room door. I phoned them and they confirmed that no shared bathroom existed there. Drama over. I was relieved by it; I nearly had a cardiac when I saw it said that!
16A bus takes you pretty much everywhere and from the airport to Camden Street it took around 45mins. The fare was 1.90 which was very reasonable compared to 30 Euros in a taxi. Please be aware the buses can get jam packed but are very frequent so don’t worry if you miss one.
Arriving at the hotel it was very small and hardly had anything to it, a simple cafe joined onto it where the police got their breakfast in a morning and a nightclub/pub to the other side. We stayed in room 335 which was supposed to be quiet, but the music kept us awake a fair bit.
The room's walls were bright yellow (ugh) but the beds comfy and plenty of tea/coffee facilities.
Reception were of mixed nationalities and from what I could see...they did some very long shifts! Still they were always helpful.
Opposite the hotel is a 'Spar' (No you won’t find a Jacuzzi there!) It’s ideally placed and convenient for the food items, along with some shops and a gym where I saw people bouncing away on the treadmill at 7am! I don’t know how they do it, I barely have enough energy to get out of bed and put my socks on!
Buses are regular and run right outside the hotel to O’Connell Street and other locations. Sadly the 'city tour bus' stop is a fair walk away.
The bar joined onto the hotel would only let people aged 20+ go in, which was ok for me but not for my partner. This seemed the norm with most bars being 20-21+.
We ate at a fantastic little cafe 100m or so down the road from where we stayed called Cafe Angelo's. Fairly high priced but good food and an even cheaper takeaway menu (about 50% off).
To sum it up, the Camden Deluxe hotel is very far from 'Deluxe' and has nothing to it really except rooms and a lift. But it’s ok if you want cheapish accommodation outside of the city with a good transport link.
