Parador Hotel

The rating would have been higher but found certain members of staff rude and not very helpful. The rooms are basic but kept very clean, breakfast you had a good choice of food. Pool cleaned every day. There were 4 of us that went on holiday and we have been to different parts of Turkey. The only thing that would stop us going back to the hotel would be the rudeness of certain members of the staff.
Found a smashing bar called Happy Bar; owner and all the staff made us very welcome, it is less than 2mins walk away. We started as a party of 4 but ended up at least 22 of us meeting up in the evening in the bar.
Watch out if you go on a trip to Konrec diamond, we brought some rings and paid cash. We took ours with us and are very pleased with them but our friends ordered 3 items and left a deposit and was told that they would be delivered to the hotel where they could pay the rest of monies that was due, noone came.

We have stayed at the hotel Parador 3 years in a row now and I find it hard to have a bad word said against it. People say the rooms are basic but tell me (apart from a select few) where a room in the whole of Turkey isn’t basic! They are cleaned regularly, the staff are great, the pool is small but does the job of cooling you off when its 35 degrees, there is shops and bars all around.
For people to say the breakfast isn’t too good is just a joke...you’re in a Muslim country you’re not going to get Wall's pork sausages and Danish bacon...it isn’t rocket science!! Beside their breakfast consists of fruit and cereal and after looking at some of the Brits abroad we could all do with a bit of healthy food!!
Go to Benidorm for your full English heart attack and then moan about how ignorant the Spanish are compared to the Turks when you get back. The biggest laugh is people complaining saying "I paid for 3 star and this isn’t fit to be a 2 star" what a joke that is... if you can find a hotel in England with a view every morning of the sea and wonderful harbour for roundabout £350 for a fortnight with guaranteed heat of 35 degrees everyday and a pace of life that if it goes any slower it will stop, can you please forward the address to me and I will gladly book a holiday there!!
Some people want the earth for very little cash nowadays and are quite simply not happy with cheap ale, great food, cracking atmosphere and amongst the friendliest people you are ever likely to meet... oh and the blistering heat!!!
Alanya, in my opinion is everything that Turkey is about and it will be a long time before I stop going there!!!

We visited the hotel in August, two adults and two kids. The rooms were basic, but cleaned on a daily basis. The shower is terrible - it should be a wet room; there is more water on the floor than in the tray. Remember to put the sign on the outside of the door to clean your room.
The food was very traditional, but ok. Cheap enough to eat out. The pool was very clean, and the beach literally on the door. The staff were great, and couldn't do enough for you. The air-conditioning left a lot to be desired, remember to leave the key in.
All in all well worth the money, the hotel was ok, Alanya is fantastic. Plenty to see and do. Will definitely go back. Make sure you visit Big Ben english bar.

Stayed at the Parador Apartments in August for 2 weeks. My daughters and I absolutely loved every minute of it. Alanya is the most beautiful place with a fantastic beach, night life and many many great restaurants.
The people are so friendly and just love the British people. I would definitely recommend Alanya to anyone of any age. It was fantastic. Can't wait to go again.
The apartments were great. Spotless, clean and the staff there are so friendly. Ali on reception is so funny and Mehmet who runs the poolside bar is just great. We had such a laugh with them all at the apartments. We will definitely be going back to visit them real soon.
Take a visit to the many water parks and also to the harbour, which is magnificent during the day and night and also go to Big Bens on the beach road. The staff there are brilliant and so is the food. The bizarre is real good fun, when you get the hang of haggling with them. The restaurants in the bizarre are spotless clean too.
We met the nicest families in Alanya and had the best holiday ever.

Beware - there are two Paradors in Alanya!!
We booked to stay at the Parador hotel, last minute booking, when we arrived we were told we were actually staying at the Parador apartments - which is a good 20 minute walk from the hotel - more like a 1 star accommodation - we were told sea view - our view was of a mosque and local area, nothing around, beach is about 10 minute walk away, swimming pool was tiny and not very clean looking, in bathroom of our apartment next door's conversation could be heard.
The room was dirty, we were told air conditioning would e included but they wanted an extra £60 for it, chair was broken in living area - there was not seating area in living room only the 2 beds for the children to sleep on - only 1 small wardrobe in living room (none in bedroom).
Receptionist was nice though. We paid to 'upgrade' we moved to a 3* apart hotel called the Hayat apartments, which was as a 3* should be.

This hotel is excellent. As this was our first experience of Turkey it was a good one. The rooms are cleaned on a daily basis and to a high standard.
Be prepared when you have a shower the floor gets wet too.
It is exactly as it states. 50m from a fantastic beach with sunloungers provided for you at a very small cost. The beach bar staff are really friendly.
The food at the hotel is all buffet style and I do have to say is not especially great. It is edible but wasn't to our taste at all. But it is so cheap to eat out that we weren't especially that bothered about not eating there.
