Words fail me...
Disgusting, basic accomodation- I cried with shock!
rusty chairs, rusty fridge, sticky carpets, prehistoric
bath and toilet.
It was like going back to the 60's/ 70's- and a card machine for the electricity????
DONT GO !!!
Would suggest you stay at the beaches hotel up the road!!

well after reading some reviews i thought it was going to be the holiday from hell, but what a surprise.
check in was done with ease and our room was ready early.
the room was very basic but still it was very clean and tidy.
very clean bedding is a bonus for me.
the food had a big thumbs up from my partner and kids with plenty to choose from and we only had to wait on a couple of mornings but we did go at busy times.
there was plenty to do on site, with swimming and the ball pool only a few minites walk.
the staff are very friendly and helpful and always had a smile on their face. all in all had a fab holiday and are in talks about when we are going back.

This place is terrible. We had a lot of problems with our bookings to start with and when our party of 13 arrived things did not improve. We had 2 chalets(1 club and 1 Classic which was to be made into a club due to mix up) Both chalets were filthy and smelly, there was mold in the bathrooms and the showers had push buttons and the water ran for about 20 secs at a time. In our chalet we had 7 people and there was only seating for 5. Cooker was filthy and a knob was missing. We had unwanted visitors ....Ants hundreds of them. I am disabled and there was no suitable parking for our car although I was told there was no problem. The whole park was dilapidated and very dirty. The ice rink that is advertised does not exist and there is no Launderette either which a lot of people were annoyed about.
The diner in the Queen Vic, on the saturday we arrived was closing at around 4.30 as the staff member said there was no one to serve. I had just arrived with 13 potential customers!!!
On the plus side, if you like a good game of bingo, a nice (expensive £3.20 pint cider!)drink, karaoke and some quizzes. Then the pub is the place for you. Oh, and for the Club chalet residents you can change the supplied towels daily which is a bonus as lack of the afore mentioned launderette.
I am now planning next years holiday ....as far away from this place as possible.

I've been to pontins for about 17 years now. All in all, it is a great holiday park and has great entertainment! I visited in May for a weekend break. But, their was a dance competition on, so the pub was shut and the looners bar. We had a fantastic time and enjoyed every minute. Im going again on Friday(5th.8) till Monday, and I cant wait to arrive. The chalets are nothing special, but your not staying in a 5* hotel, its a holiday camp, so dont expect being waited on hand and foot. The beds are ok, you only sleep in them! Bluecoats are fantastic, always dancing and invloving all partys in the games. The drinks and food are a reasonable price although the shop is abit expensive. The arcade is lots of fun for children, and adults. Some people need to lighten up, you pay £90, dont expect a 5* hotel, because you wont be getting one. Its a holiday camp, and a weekend away. Enjoy every minute while your thier! It's an enjoyable holiday!

Just been a Sun 3 night Holiday to Prestatyn, and we paid for the full upgrade, which means we paid over £200.
Arrived to find a disgustingly filthy chalet, we couldn't even sit down it was so dirty. We stuck to the carpets, the matresses was beyond description, and the oven hadn't seen a scourer for years.
when we complained, we were told to go away for a couple of hours to give them a chance to clean, which we did, but upon our return, it was no better. The receptionist was the most obnoxious person I've ever spoken to, and the manager wasn't much better. When we asked for a head office address so that we could complain, he told us there was no point as it would only be passed on to him anyway.
Needless to say, we didn't stay, and ended up paying for another caravan park up the road.
Do yourselves a favour, don't go there.

We went on a weeks holidays(18 July- 25 July 2011)to Pontins through Stena Line. Have to say the apartment we stayed in which was a 2 bedroom classic was clean and tidy and nothing bad about it. The pool was great for the children but the entertainment was poor.My 2 girls which are 9 & 3 years old never got to meet any of the blue coats and they never encouraged the children to join in. We noticed if your not in the morning clubs with the kids you dont get a chance in the night.any games played in the night are put with the regular kids, there was no 70 free games and my 9 year old was disappointed with no ice skating rink!Other wise it is a nice place to visit and we did a lot of trips around and enjoyed it. Will return again!!

DO NOT BOOK ANY TYPE OF STAY HERE! Me and my partner booked a one night stay at this dump,what mistake,the room reminded me of a hostel,somewhere you would only stay if you absolutely had to let alone for a supposed holiday! We only paid £40 on laterooms but apparently it was supposed to be £150! The room was dirty, tatty and generally shocking!The park surroundings are awful litter everywhere and all the kids activities were closed down and not just for that day by the look of state they were in!In the room (i use that word loosely) The bed linen was just chucked on the bed, the table and chairs looked like they were out of a skip, there was pubic hair in the bath, the list is endless.They wanted to send a house keeper over to sort it out,but I told them we only have tonite not a week!We eventually got a refund after calling the manager after the snouty receptionist had finished being obnoxious.So do not go here,if you do,id love to be the one to say I told you so!

As a last minute decision to go to Wales I booked via phone and advised them that there was 10 people in total, 4 adults and 6 children, I was advised that 1 apartment would accommodate us all, having being to alternative resorts I knew this was feasible, and was told I would have 3 bedrooms and a lounge which could accommodate us as well. Cost was not an issue do I assumed I would be provided with decent accomdation. Was I wrong! The apartment was a standard 2 bedroom, a filthy sticky sofabed, a kitchen with barely any utensils, no microwave (which is standard anywhere). There was 2 single beds in each room. The toilet was disgusting, o had to buy some bleach. I was not advised that electricity tokens had to be brought. I am so grateful that I only stayed the one night and I always take my own blankets and pillows with me, otherwise I would have chosen to sleep I the car. Breakfast was a joke, the food was disgusting, one toaster was only used to provide toast for all visitors, the food was disgusting that after paying approx £40 for us all, none of us ate the food and went elsewhere. If you have children or have basic hygiene standards do not go there :(

Went to Pontins 22nd July..stayed one night and left early hours Sunday morning....all I can say is NEVER GO THERE!! The chalet was disgustingly filthy and from the Ark! The chippy never had any food in that was properly cooked, one lady asked for a fish the lad said he would have to wrap it in a plastic bag as they had no paper!!! Everything about the place was disgusting, litter everywhere, empty chalets with mattresses and cookers outside and carpets and tables everywhere were as sticky as hell. I wont ever be going there again and never putting it on my sun holiday choices either......Verdict: never go there!!!

Generally the worst holiday park I have stayed at in recent years.
We book a sun holiday every year to a different destination and can honestly say Pontins has most definitely been the worst. The standard of cleanliness is quite appalling.
Paint fumes
Broken kettle
Filthy cutlery
Dust down sides of beds
Hairs and dirt in the shower cubicle
The list is endless
The constant noise from children playing outside your door and running along the balconies, which in turn shakes the windows, was annoying to say the least.
If they had more activities for children then maybe they wouldn't be kicking a ball about on the grass outside the apartments all day long
Wont be returning to a Pontins for sometime to come.
