for a basic base on your holiday, this is great. if you want anything fancy, then this not the place for you. not recommended for people with walking difficulties as this accommodation is based on the top of a steep hill. we were offered a top floor apartment first with a... more

This village is about 20 mins from Vilamoura and would not be suitable for anyone with walking problems.
Some of the village apartments are in need of a major upgrade.
The princess gardens restaurant is well worth a visit. Would go back to Vilamoura but to accommodation near to the marina or another part of the Algarve.

Have been here many times and will go many more times. There are things that are not like they are at home but that's part of being on holiday. The receptionist is so welcoming and Anna and her team who run the Jazz cafe are fantastic. The markets in Toule and Quarteria are... more

Just returned from a fab 2 weeks holiday at The Old Village apartments. We stayed in a studio which was extremely well furnished. The kitchen was very well equipped with all mod cons and a washing machine. We had a private roof terrace with sun loungers and a balcony which... more

What a lovely peaceful holiday. The sun was still shining even though it was January, and the apartments were set in a picturesque location. The apartments were beautiful, contained cooker washing machine maiden sofa satellite TV and 2 beds and bath /shower. Very clean,... more

It was my holiday from hell. Me and my aunt who is 72 years of age, went self catering for one week, cost us nearly £1000. When we arrived we were put into the studio which to our shock horror was smack bang over the restaurant on the square. We hardly had any sleep all... more

Having just returned from the "Old Village Apts", I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them to anyone from young to old. Fantastic place, clean, friendly and most importantly safe. In fact upon returning on 2nd Sept 07 I am in the process of rebooking 2 or... more

The best thing that these apartments have going for them, is that all the taxi drivers know where it is and you can have Chinese, Indian or Italian takeaway delivered to one of the pubs on the resort. We had in our party 3 Adults 1 2year old. We stayed in a 3 bedroom town... more

Stayed in a very poorly presented T2. Quality of furnishings was extremely poor. Electrical sockets were not properly secured. Quality of cleaning is open to question. If you need a full bathroom make sure you specify this in advance. You may wish to take your own towels.... more

My boyfriend and I, both in our mid-twenties, have just returned from a 10 night stay at one of the new Studio Apartments at The Old Village. We had a fantastic holiday and would recommend this complex to anyone ranging from couples (as we were) to families. Our... more

I found the hotel, very unsuitable for people with walking difficulties and children. If you wanted to go to the bar or reception you had to cross an outrageous bridge that would have been higher than the apartments itself. The pool was a good size but not kept very clean.... more
