Submitted By: johchamFOOD, for an all inclusive it was very very good and I'm certain that when the Al-a-Carte restaurant opened after we came back home things could only get better.
BARS, all I can say is that the choice of drinks on offer were more than expectable, the local beer Efes, is more than drinkable and the Cocktails superb.
POOLSIDE, plenty of beds though in the main pool area they tend to be a little close together. while we were there you could not do the usual dawn patrol and reserve beds before 8.00am which was a blessing. there is also a smaller pool which is much better with a couple of terraces overlooking the beach, there are also good bar areas at the poolside, the main pool bar also being open in the evening.
ENTERTAINMENT, well it was the usual mix of daytime activities that you get at most hotels, the Kids seemed to be well catered for during the day around the hotel and poolside, and night time in the Amphitheatre where the Kiddies entertainment went on until 10.00pm most nights. After 10.00pm the evening entertainment was a bit hit and miss but don't let me put you off because this is always subjective an issue anyway.
A couple of nights they did have a duo playing some nice music by the main pool but we could have done with a little more of this, and in any case when the entertainment was going on in the Amphitheatre they had to have an hours break because the noise from there just drowned every thing out.
BEACH, not terrific, it appears to be a made up beach but if you like lying by the beach then I suppose you wont be to disappointed there is also a bar down there and a volley ball court and enough space to play several games of Boules at the same time.
DOWNSIDE, during our stay part of our holiday was I'm afraid spoiled by the rude behaviour of several British families who just took over an area and made relaxing a little difficult at times there Kids just did not seem to have any respect for other people and the parents certainly did not appear to be bothered in calming them down or teaching then good old fashioned manners such as excuse me, yes, no, thank you or even please, and they were so hyped up on cola and other things that pushed there E numbers through the roof that some where still running around at midnight while there parents were filling up with the double rounds of drinks they had ordered before the midnight all inclusive drinks curfew.
As I have said in my review title, GREAT HOTEL BUT .... just make sure that if you do fancy going to this hotel beware of the British families running riot never mind the Germans they get the blame for everything when sometime we should look at the things that some of our fellow British holiday makers get up to. It's a shame really as this is a really smashing hotel, please don't let me put you off going just be aware if you go during times of school holidays, it could get a little overbearing at times. Have Fun.
Advice: Excellent town, plenty of shops, nice port area and Marina worth a visit go by the local bus 2 lira.
Activities: the ancient ruins of Ephessus, there are plenty of restaurants to choose from in Kusadasi.

Very well decorated. I was in a suite and it was spacious. Cleaned everyday with fresh towels.
Food
A good selection for all meals. It did get a bit repetative in the buffet restaurant, but they have a bbq area outside which could easily be missed. A la Carte restaurants were very good and there is no limit to there use as long as you can get a booking. Only down side were the Germans ( not too many thank goodness), they have no manners and just push in.
Pools
Very clean and a good temperature. Lots on sun beds, but very close together. Was no problem getting a sunbed at the beguining of the holiday as you can not put towels out before 8am. The Germans arrived and it did get a little harder in the morning.
Bars
Good service drinks good.
Beach
Not a beach hotel, but was nice. The beach is a strip of rased sand and you have to go down steps into the sea. Nice to sunbath and sea was nice to swim in.
Entertainment
Adult through the day was good and not intrusive. Kids club seemed ok. At night the entertainment ranged from not good to very good. Will improve in the season I imagine.
Conclusion
A beautiful hotel with great views, good food and accommodation. Good entertainment and everyone I spoke to had a great time. Well worth a visit.

Submitted By: gilberdHad booked with Wingsabroad to stay at Pine Bay Resort in Kusadasi but when we arrived
they tried to put us in a shed/bungalow. We opted to move hotels and pay an extra £270 to move to Fantasia. When we arrived they only had the honeymoon suite available which was unbelievable with no extra cost.
The food was lovely and staff really helpful. At a lot of all inclusive hotels you have to pay extra for freshly squeezed orange juice or ice-cream but this was all included.
There was plenty of sunbeds and towels and the beach is just down the steps, although there is no shore as such, but still sand and very warm sea (October).
Downside was as we went late September the entertainment had trailed off a bit in the evenings. In addition, if you go late in September early October you will there for Ramadam and this is the preferred hotel for Turks to stay, so its get quite busy for 4/5 days. Although you do go lots of little treats left in your room though...Turkish delight/chocs etc!
Ephesus is also only 4km away.
I was intending to give Turkey a miss this year but loved Fantasia so much I am booking to stay for 2 weeks this September 2009.

Food was good, did not hear of anyone with dicky tummy. Yes there was some queues at busy times, but they did not last too long and the food was hot and choice was pretty good. Lots fruit too and food available at all times of the day.
Pools and beach area were clean and well maintained. 1 complaint is that there are too many sunbeds, and they are too close together. You feel a bit crammed in at times so you need to juggle around a bit to get some space. Beach offers more space and peace and quiet and usually nice breeze makes the heat more bearable. Pool activities are ok and not too much in your face. You can escape this on the lower pool and the beach.
I went with a mate for a girlie holiday to relax (1 week) and we did just that... it was comfortable... easy going and although a ride away from Kusadassi it was a nice location away from the packed beaches. (has its own private section of the beach)
Minibus runs every few minutes.. just have to wait at the bottom road of the hotel (on opposite side) and it will pull up and take you to town for a £1.00! This service stops at midnight, so if you want to stay out late in bar street you will need to get a taxi back (around £10.00).
Bars in bar street are busy and few of the usual lively Irish bars. Bit too noisey if you want to have a conversation! Prefered to sit outside in the turkish bars and enjoy the night air myself seeing as we dont get chance in Britain!! They are obviously competing for your business so you will get cagoeld into going into the bars...it was not too heavy though so you can just walk past.
Will def return with the girls at another time. You feel safe and happy here and it makes all the difference knowing doctors are also on site in the hotel. Its a pretty high class hotel for Turkey from what my mate said, and she has been to Turkey several times and she takes some satisfying!!!
Enjoy it - you wont be disappointed uless you are a serial complainer or hard to please!!!
" THIS IS THE BEST ALL OVER REVIEW YOU... "
Submitted By: Mr M EdI must start by stating avoid ONUR AIR as it is very poor and with the recent plane problems i would suggest a better airline such as Turkish Airlines.
Travelling from Bodrum airport is cheaper (not really by too much), but can take over 2 hours depending on mode of transport. Izmir is the closest which we were told by other holiday makers took around an hour.
Like ourselves other people were a little confused with the reviews because of the different names and pictures. The is only one Hotel Fantasia which has been recently upgraded. Some of Kusadasi hotels have very similar names this one doesnt.
There is a main restaurant which is a buffet area that has a fairly wide choice but will seem quite repetitve over 2 weeks, which should be expected from a buffet. The breakfast is average except for the fresh bread and freshly made turkish garlic which were excellent. The egg bar (which is outside) is of course very good but after 8.30am is too busy with only 1 chef operating. Lunch is again average with what looks like yesterdays dinner left overs. The alternative outdoor lunch bar is pretty poor for lunch but gives more food options. Dinner is not that much different but outside there is always a different dish freshly cooked and is nearly always very nice eg. fresh swordfish, meat grill, fresh chicken doner. If i went back though, i would eat in the set menu restaurants every night. There are 3 (which we only discovered throughout the hoilday) Prelude, Fish and Turkish that need 24 hour notice prebooking with the hotel that are also inclusive. Turkish restaurant we found exceptionally tastety and is right above the beach coast allowing full view of the beautiful sunset. Drinks are what is expected from all inclusive (the lager was suprisingly good).
All of the staff are friendly and helpful (when English is spoken. Even when it is its not so great). The house keeping we found not that good as did others, because the rooms were always clean they were mainly minor problems that caused this such as not replenishing any toiletries, toilet paper and towels (once we came back to 1 towel for 2 adults and a child). Ferida runs the kids club who is very good unlike the facilities. She also runs the onstage kids disco everynight which the kids love.
I'll try to be brief about the excursions. Adaland has three parts SeaPark, aquapark and Dolphin Park. DolphinPark is just a dolphin show. Aquapark is only a slides park (not suitable for under 5s we were told). While it is new the SeaPark was great. Check out the Adaland website for details. You can swim with dolphins in this part for approx £60 each (4yrs and over). For £12 each you have acess to the snorkel pool, ray pool, fake beach with beds and shade, rubber ring pool, wet suit, snorkel/mask, lunch, changing facilties, store and shark cage (good experience for novice but small and low quality for the experienced). Brian is the supervisor/advisor who is very nice who like the others take pride in the animals. If you do the Turkish Night, good performance but do not pay for the meal it is very poor (not even turkish main) especially for £8 more. Boat trip is fun (all day event bring your snorkels and swim suit) food is better than it first may seem. Turkish bath is a good first experiance but not as thourough as it could be (Massage depends on which guy who does it) great staff though. The natural hot pools (can remember the place) look fabulous but is 3-4 hours away. I hear Ephesius is good but a half day may be best if you have kids (or find it too hot).
Overall it was a good trip and although we originally want to stay at Pine Bay Resort (not Marina) after talking to people from other 5 star hotels Fantasia was probably the best.

Submitted By: Miss S NicholasAs for some previous reviews not sure where the fight for the towels or sunloungers was as we had no problem getting our suntowels that they provided each morning and also in getting a lounger at the beach on any day. Yes the pool area was busy but it's the height of season so its bound to be and although we prefered the beach there always seemed sunloungers free around both pools (and we wouldn't go down until about 11am so it wasnt like we rushed down)
The choice food at the hotel is exceptional and there is always something to eat even for the less adventurous and we definately recommend the Turkish Al a carte, book early. Dinner can be busy but there are no long queues and there is a waiters on hand to clear tables as soon as they become vacant and get your drinks for you.
Some of the waiters have a better grasp of english than others but they all know enough to get by so we didnt find it a problem.
This year they have added three private cabana's on the pier at the beach which are available to reserve for a small fee (again you need to book these early as we missed out).
One thing that let the hotel down for us this year was the shop & turkish bath, they have a tendancy to double euro prices if you take lira which meant you were overpaying. Take euro's with you as this will work out cheaper.
Yes Bodrum airport is stupidly overpriced, if you can take packed lunches or even ask how much to pay in sterling as this can work out cheaper. But as this does not reflect on the hotel in any way so dont let this put you off as chances are you will fly from here no matter where you stay.
We cant really comment on the animation team as we didnt have our children with us however from what we saw they seemed to be putting lots of effort in with the kids and with sorting out adults beach volleyball games and games in the pools.
Its well worth a visit and we have already started to look for our holiday next year and we are going to take the kids along next time.

Submitted By: Miss A TownsleyThe swimming pools were massive. One for aqua-gym witch the animation team set up for once every day for women. This was the smallest pool, it was like a childrens pool at 1.25m. Attatched onto that pool but at a lower level was a extra big pool with pool steps down to it and 3 real steps that you could sit on. In this pool it had 3 depts near the steps it was 1.40m, in the middle it was 2.10m and at the deep end it was 3.45m. Part of this pool was cut off as a childrens pool 0.40m. The last pool you go down some extra steps t the right hand side and there was the biggest pool of all it was circular and as you went further into the middle with the deepest point 2m. With a big island in the middle.
If you went down some steps from the pool area there was the ampiphetre: where they had a mini disco for 10-. After that you had some sort of entertaiment. Turkish night, comedy sketch show, best couple and many more.
Go down some more steps to find the beach.
To get to the sea you have to climb down some swimming baths steps and when I went the current was strong. You could do water sports on the beac. You could also play football.
The animation team were great with water polo, football tournement, table tennis tournement and lots more. Trying to get everyone involved.
Inside the hotel was a hairdresser, doctor, gym and table tennis rooms.
Don't let the lifts ruin your holiday from the top the floors go.

Submitted By: Mrs Susan BucklandOnce we got to the hotel the delays and long journey were forgotten. On arrival, we were greeted at reception with non-alcholic cocktails and ice cold peppermint freshen up towels. When you walk into the hotel you feel like you should be wearing a suit! (This feeling soon vainshes with the warm welcome!)
We had a Senior Suite, which was two adjoining rooms, one living and one bedroom for all four of us. Everything was immaculate, view stunning, room clean, we were very pleased.
Food is fantastic, though a bit of a wait for omlettes in the morning, waiters are lovely - main restaurant does get busy but we never really queued for more than half a minute for anything (except omlettes!) There are 3 a la carte restaurants, the Turkish one is fantastic - we went twice.
Pool and public areas are well kept and clean, bar service was great, again no real queues.
Entertainments team are fantastic, except for the 'leader' who called himself 'Ice', all the rest of the team smiled and chatted and waved, interacted with the kids etc but this guy strutted around the place like he owned it and I dont think he even noticed the holiday makers, but it was on occasion amusing to watch such an arrogant character.
Unless you are very hard to please or a miserable so and so, you will absolutely LOVE the Fantasia. We have stayed in AI hotels for years now and this is definately in the top 10.
