THIS IS THE BEST ALL OVER REVIEW YOU...

THIS IS THE BEST ALL OVER REVIEW YOU WILL GET SO LISTEN UP!!
I must start by stating avoid ONUR AIR as it is very poor and with the recent plane problems i would suggest a better airline such as Turkish Airlines.
Travelling from Bodrum airport is cheaper (not really by too much), but can take over 2 hours depending on mode of transport. Izmir is the closest which we were told by other holiday makers took around an hour.
Like ourselves other people were a little confused with the reviews because of the different names and pictures. The is only one Hotel Fantasia which has been recently upgraded. Some of Kusadasi hotels have very similar names this one doesnt.
There is a main restaurant which is a buffet area that has a fairly wide choice but will seem quite repetitve over 2 weeks, which should be expected from a buffet. The breakfast is average except for the fresh bread and freshly made turkish garlic which were excellent. The egg bar (which is outside) is of course very good but after 8.30am is too busy with only 1 chef operating. Lunch is again average with what looks like yesterdays dinner left overs. The alternative outdoor lunch bar is pretty poor for lunch but gives more food options. Dinner is not that much different but outside there is always a different dish freshly cooked and is nearly always very nice eg. fresh swordfish, meat grill, fresh chicken doner. If i went back though, i would eat in the set menu restaurants every night. There are 3 (which we only discovered throughout the hoilday) Prelude, Fish and Turkish that need 24 hour notice prebooking with the hotel that are also inclusive. Turkish restaurant we found exceptionally tastety and is right above the beach coast allowing full view of the beautiful sunset. Drinks are what is expected from all inclusive (the lager was suprisingly good).
All of the staff are friendly and helpful (when English is spoken. Even when it is its not so great). The house keeping we found not that good as did others, because the rooms were always clean they were mainly minor problems that caused this such as not replenishing any toiletries, toilet paper and towels (once we came back to 1 towel for 2 adults and a child). Ferida runs the kids club who is very good unlike the facilities. She also runs the onstage kids disco everynight which the kids love.
I'll try to be brief about the excursions. Adaland has three parts SeaPark, aquapark and Dolphin Park. DolphinPark is just a dolphin show. Aquapark is only a slides park (not suitable for under 5s we were told). While it is new the SeaPark was great. Check out the Adaland website for details. You can swim with dolphins in this part for approx £60 each (4yrs and over). For £12 each you have acess to the snorkel pool, ray pool, fake beach with beds and shade, rubber ring pool, wet suit, snorkel/mask, lunch, changing facilties, store and shark cage (good experience for novice but small and low quality for the experienced). Brian is the supervisor/advisor who is very nice who like the others take pride in the animals. If you do the Turkish Night, good performance but do not pay for the meal it is very poor (not even turkish main) especially for £8 more. Boat trip is fun (all day event bring your snorkels and swim suit) food is better than it first may seem. Turkish bath is a good first experiance but not as thourough as it could be (Massage depends on which guy who does it) great staff though. The natural hot pools (can remember the place) look fabulous but is 3-4 hours away. I hear Ephesius is good but a half day may be best if you have kids (or find it too hot).
Overall it was a good trip and although we originally want to stay at Pine Bay Resort (not Marina) after talking to people from other 5 star hotels Fantasia was probably the best.

Me & my boyfriend have just returned...

Me & my boyfriend have just returned from a weeks holiday at this hotel and it is the second time we have been to the Fantasia.
As for some previous reviews not sure where the fight for the towels or sunloungers was as we had no problem getting our suntowels that they provided each morning and also in getting a lounger at the beach on any day. Yes the pool area was busy but it's the height of season so its bound to be and although we prefered the beach there always seemed sunloungers free around both pools (and we wouldn't go down until about 11am so it wasnt like we rushed down)
The choice food at the hotel is exceptional and there is always something to eat even for the less adventurous and we definately recommend the Turkish Al a carte, book early. Dinner can be busy but there are no long queues and there is a waiters on hand to clear tables as soon as they become vacant and get your drinks for you.
Some of the waiters have a better grasp of english than others but they all know enough to get by so we didnt find it a problem.
This year they have added three private cabana's on the pier at the beach which are available to reserve for a small fee (again you need to book these early as we missed out).
One thing that let the hotel down for us this year was the shop & turkish bath, they have a tendancy to double euro prices if you take lira which meant you were overpaying. Take euro's with you as this will work out cheaper.
Yes Bodrum airport is stupidly overpriced, if you can take packed lunches or even ask how much to pay in sterling as this can work out cheaper. But as this does not reflect on the hotel in any way so dont let this put you off as chances are you will fly from here no matter where you stay.
We cant really comment on the animation team as we didnt have our children with us however from what we saw they seemed to be putting lots of effort in with the kids and with sorting out adults beach volleyball games and games in the pools.
Its well worth a visit and we have already started to look for our holiday next year and we are going to take the kids along next time.

If wasn't for the barstaff this hotel...

If wasn't for the barstaff this hotel would have been pretty bad - it was all inclusive but I had constant tummy probs whenever I ate the food which was not great compared with restaurants in Kusadasi. As it was all inclusive everything meant a fight - towels, sun loungers, pool space, food, tea and coffee, very rude spoilt people especially the english kids whose parents were always at the bar. Constant queue jumping and incredibly slimy staff at the lunch bar that always got the order wrong also lots of ill mannered greedy people. Wings abroad were appalling the rep was so patronising and to top it all announced to us our flight had been delayed by three hours upon leaving AFTER we had checked out and told us to inform everyone else after which the very plump patronising woman left to avoid the volley of abuse that followed. Whatever you do avoid the taxis that are outside this hotel they overcharged and took us to the worst part of Kusadasi where we had to fight again with nasty salesmen CAN taxis I think they were called horrible nasty individuals. Also Onurair are rubbish they were late both ways the stewardesses tried to diddle you over Euro's and the service was slow, the pilot almost crashed at Manchester and I never want to travel with them again. Bodrum airport is a hell hole as we where delayed we had to pay the equivalent of 25 quid for two burger meals as we were so hungry, the place was a total horrible dump with people trying to sell things that did not want. Avoid this airport if possible and I would say Kusadasi as theres nothing there really anyway. I will go back to Turkey as there were some very nice people there but try to avoid the Fantasia hotel, Onurair, Wings Abroad, Bodrum airport, Kusadasi and CAN Taxis.

we arrived at the fantasia on the 1st august hoping that our high standards would be met and we were definitely not disappointed. When we arrived myself my husband and 2 children we were disappointed by receiving a standard room when we had paid for a family room. The staff on reception were immediately trying to help us and we felt we had found gold when we received the senior suite for our holiday which was stunning in replacement. It had two bathrooms ,two balconies a living room and our own private bedroom with a lovely leather bed. The hotel lobby is absolutely stunning with marble galore and a decadence that made you immediately feel you werewalking into a place. THE outdoor swimming pools and poolsides are beautiful, with lots of pool games and sports for even the least energetic, Ieven played waterpolo and enjoyed aqua aerobics with the animation team who were very motivational towards all of us. I would like to say there are paticurlarly exceptional staff there namely FREDA who is nin charge of the childrens mini club which is superb hours are 9.30 til 12 and 2.30 until 5 which is by all accounts fantastic. T HE children go the indoor pool go for icecream and do games on the beach and lots of drawing and face painting under good supervision. The food was lovely but as another review stated you did have to wait a while if you wanted a cooked breakfast as the queue was very long stuff from the buffet tables you did not have to wait for there was a lovely selection of chicken fish halal meat and fruit veg.If you want the ala carte restaurants you need to book early in the holiday as there are 3 the turkish ala carte which is set over the sea in a beautiful intimate restaurant, the fish restaurant which was a disappointment, we are big fish lovers and this was nothing special eg. mussels deep fried in batter, overcooked local fish on skewers. and there is the prelude restaurant which we did not get a booking for. so book all 3 early into your holiday. I will summarise by saying the hotel fantasia is one of the most loveliest hotels We have stayed in and we only like 5STAR AND we are definitely trying to go back next year, we stayed for two weeks and will try for next year. you will not be disappointed.

Aug 2008, Miss A Townsley

The food was fabulous. Warm all the time. Deserts hand made every lunch and dinner time. Fresh fruit every meal time. Chicken and Turkish Pizza every dinner time. You could see the pizza being made before our eyes. Cheese or meat.
The swimming pools were massive. One for aqua-gym witch the animation team set up for once every day for women. This was the smallest pool, it was like a childrens pool at 1.25m. Attatched onto that pool but at a lower level was a extra big pool with pool steps down to it and 3 real steps that you could sit on. In this pool it had 3 depts near the steps it was 1.40m, in the middle it was 2.10m and at the deep end it was 3.45m. Part of this pool was cut off as a childrens pool 0.40m. The last pool you go down some extra steps t the right hand side and there was the biggest pool of all it was circular and as you went further into the middle with the deepest point 2m. With a big island in the middle.
If you went down some steps from the pool area there was the ampiphetre: where they had a mini disco for 10-. After that you had some sort of entertaiment. Turkish night, comedy sketch show, best couple and many more.
Go down some more steps to find the beach.
To get to the sea you have to climb down some swimming baths steps and when I went the current was strong. You could do water sports on the beac. You could also play football.
The animation team were great with water polo, football tournement, table tennis tournement and lots more. Trying to get everyone involved.
Inside the hotel was a hairdresser, doctor, gym and table tennis rooms.
Don't let the lifts ruin your holiday from the top the floors go.

We went with two children, aged 20...

Aug 2008, Mrs Susan Buckland

We went with two children, aged 20 months and 9 years. We were delayed at Gatwick for 3 hours and on the way home, delayed at Bodrum for 4 hours. (Dont fly with Onur Air! - You WILL be delayed!)
Once we got to the hotel the delays and long journey were forgotten. On arrival, we were greeted at reception with non-alcholic cocktails and ice cold peppermint freshen up towels. When you walk into the hotel you feel like you should be wearing a suit! (This feeling soon vainshes with the warm welcome!)
We had a Senior Suite, which was two adjoining rooms, one living and one bedroom for all four of us. Everything was immaculate, view stunning, room clean, we were very pleased.
Food is fantastic, though a bit of a wait for omlettes in the morning, waiters are lovely - main restaurant does get busy but we never really queued for more than half a minute for anything (except omlettes!) There are 3 a la carte restaurants, the Turkish one is fantastic - we went twice.
Pool and public areas are well kept and clean, bar service was great, again no real queues.
Entertainments team are fantastic, except for the 'leader' who called himself 'Ice', all the rest of the team smiled and chatted and waved, interacted with the kids etc but this guy strutted around the place like he owned it and I dont think he even noticed the holiday makers, but it was on occasion amusing to watch such an arrogant character.
Unless you are very hard to please or a miserable so and so, you will absolutely LOVE the Fantasia. We have stayed in AI hotels for years now and this is definately in the top 10.

My boyfriend and i (both 22) stayed for 2 weeks in this hotel an had one of the best holidays we have ever had. I have stayed in hotels all over the world and would say this is one of the best i have been to it was fabulous, easily comparable to the hotels in the carribean, the photos and website do not do it justice! The food was gorgeous, always a good choice no matter what time of the day. There are 3 al a carte restaurants which were unlimited, even in peak season. The setting of the hotel was lovely, with views from the restaurants, pool and bars looking out to the sea. We never struggled to get a sunbed either, despite not waking up till 11.30 and pool towels are provided. There was always something to watch in the evening entertainment till 11 and a local bus ran to kusadasi till 12 for very cheap, the taxi on the way back cost about £8 though. The hotel staff were friendly and went out of their way to accomodate our needs. The hotel itself was imaculate, the rooms, lobby and the pool were all cleaned regularly. We stayed in a standard room which was modern and had plenty of room, a flat screen T.V and balcony with sea views. I would without doubt recommend this hotel to all ages.

Have just returned from a two week...

Have just returned from a two week stay at the Fantasia deluxe near kusadasi which we all thoroughly enjoyed. On arrival we were quickly checked in and taken to our room which was very nice but unfortunately didn't have the side sea view which we had paid extra for. However we were very tired as it was near 5am when we arrived but the next morning the hotel were only too happy to change our room and gave us a room which was superior to that which we booked as we overlooked the pool and had a direct sea view( this is really worth trying to get if you can as the view is fantastic). Anyway room was clean and modern, with a nice bathroom, lcd tv ( only has two english channels but who goes away to watch telly?) fresh towels daily and new linen once a week. The food in the restaurant was of good quality and had a good variety each meal time. Breakfasts consisted of Breads, cheeses, meats, fruit, freshly made omelletes and fried eggs, turkish sausage, cheese toasies, cereals and freshly squeezed orange juice. Lunch and Dinner were consisted the main buffet of hot and cold meals and an outside grill with freshly cooked kebabs/chicken/ fish/ pizza/ steak. However after the 1st week the buffet did start to get slightly repetitive. the afternoon snacks near the pool are also very nice pizzas, pancakes, ice creams. every one found something nice at every meal time. ( If the kids get withdrawal symptoms from no junk food there's burger king 5 mins down the road at the KIPA shopping centre and in kusadasi, but it's very pricy)
The Pools at the hotel a great 5 pools including a small childrens one and a good size indoor pool. The beach is nice but is similar to a dock as the sand does not meet the water. but the depth of the sea is marked by the ladders into it. The team at the watersports shed on the beach ae great , they are helpful fun and there is no hard sell for the non inclusive activities. Jetskis, parasailing, and numerous inflatables dragged behind a speedboat are available at reasonable prices.
Drinks included local EFES beer which I thought was fine, Vodka, Gin, Brandy, whisky, Cocktails, Red, white and rose wine ( brace yourself though the reds a bit rough) teas coffe water hot choc and milkshakes.
If you're taking kids, a trip to Aqua Fantasy is well worth it , the bus trip is an experience!! but it's really nice once you get there. Don't bother with ADAland aqua park it's no where near as good as aqua fantasy. The only reason to go in my opinion is that you can swim with dolphins at the ADAland dolphon park but it's quite expensive.
Only downsides were that the drinks service in the restaurant was quite slow, and there are only two lifts in each block and it was a long wait sometimes on the 8th floor.
Other bits you might want to know, wifi in lobby and main bar area, i couldn't see how anyone with any mobility problems could get to the beach area, and the pool seemed that it would be tricky to me. We flew with onur air we won't again delays both ways and on your journey back if your flying from bodrum eat before you get to the airport!! there is a burger bar but at near £50 for 4 small burger meals it was a bit of a shocker and wasn't even that nice.
We all really enjoyed our holiday and would definately go back to the fantasia if ever go to turkey again as on the whole i don't think you'll find a better AI hotel for the money.
Know this went on abit but hope you found it useful if your heading to the Fantasia this year, you'll have a great time i'm sure.

Best hotel I have stayed at , choice of 5 swimming pools including 1 indoor when it was too hot. We took a 5yr old and a 7yr and Fireda, Oscar, Engie and the rest of the entertainment team were fantastic with them. Korey and Gohane were great at 1 of the pool bars, We did not have a balcony (we had booked one), however our room was huge and we had a jacuzzi bath. Food was above average for an all inc hotel and restarant staff always friendly. Everyone seemedto speak excellent English. Omny down side was the Ballade bar (inside) as they did not seem to serve very efficiently. Loved the beer and and the water sports were well priced, Try the parasailing my children and I loved it.
