Canberra Hotel

We stayed here for two days in early June 2007. The hotel is a superb value with large rooms and a relatively low price for Europe. It is in a good location right on the main shopiing street in town. It is a less than five minute walk to the beach and convention centre. The hotel is clean with a large lobby. Nice hotel situated on the main shopping street and only 100 yards from the beach. Rooms very clean and the staff very helpful. The breakfast area is very small which caused a few problems when guests arrived at the same time, otherwise the breakfast was good. Great selection of restaurants locally but try a walk up to the old town (Le Suquet) for a meal and sample the atmosphere. Try trips to Antibes and Juan les Pins, both lovely little towns.

I stayed here for 3 nights et my roomate was there for total of 6 nights. I was visiting family members in other cities. Overall the room was spacials et the room was large for hotels in france. It was very warm et inviting. The room had a basic tube TV, mini frig. , room safe et nice view of the street. The room was always clean et scented. I have no complaints, and the staff were amazing...one gentleman helped me pronounce montpellier properly b/c i havent spoken french in awhile et Im half french...weird. The SNCF station is... more

My girlfriend and I stayed there for a 3 days week end only in April 2007. the location is perfect very close to La Croisette and the main shopping street. The Hotel is nice with large and quiet rooms. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We had the breakfast outside on a kind of terrace. the atmeosphere is peacfull. We really appreciated our stay there. We would definitly recommend this 3*** Hotel to our friends.

This hotel is in a fantastic location on the Rue Antibes, a fashionable shopping street. It was close to Hertz rental car, and getting in and out of town was pretty easy. Also, it was a short cab ride to the train station. My concern was that the rooms were a little more tired than I was led to believe in some earlier posts, one of which made reference to a renovation - maybe elsewhere in the hotel, but not in our rooms. My children had a relatively large room with two beds, while my wife and I stayed in a typically- sized double.... more
