Dursun Apartments

My family and i stayed at these apartments in june for 2 weeks, this is the second time i have stayed here in 7 months. The apartments are really big and spacious, spotlessly clean with bedding and towels changed every other day. The staff are brilliant and will do anything to help, in our group was my 3 year old niece and 14 year old daughter who were made to feel very safe and looked after, we were all treat like part of a family which made our holiday fantastic. The location is close to everything and the staff our fantastic, very friendly, helpful and full of fun, nothing is a problem to them. The Chef is great and cooks lovely meals and we were never hassled to stay there and eat, my friends and i are returning to the Dursun again this September as we had a fantastic holiday there, thanks again to all the staff

I will just start by saying last year was a blip in Dursun history.
We have been going to the Dursun for the last 7 years & thoughout this time Ryan has been there except for a year when he done his army stint & last year.
He had a falling out with papa Dursun so worked at another apartment.
But this year he is back along with chef.
Now I will be totally honest about these apartments
We are 2 families with between 10 & 14 people
There is 13 2 bed apartments & 3 3 bed
The 2 bed apartments sleep 6 the 3 beds sleep 8

We eat breakfast here every day & a few evening meals. We always stay here for Turkish Night the pool is small but you can walk 1 min to the selen 11 hotel & use there pool all you have to do is buy a drink.
The location is spot on for Canal, Beach, Tansas & the weekly Market
This is self catering but they have a restaurant & the chef is excellent every meal he cooks is amazing

stayed here several times .we visit this resort at least 5 times a year.it got so bad staff walked out.guests left because they were conned on their bills,the chef and his kitchen were filthy.the sheets were changed once in 14 days,whilst we were there several women were affraid to go to their apart alone.several items of personal belongings went missing.a mother and her 3very young children were constantly harrassed because she wouldn,t eat there,i could go on .All i will say is it is well placed and have stayed there at least 6-7 times.but NEVER again.being in the travel trade myself,some people work 50 0ut of the 52weeks in the year to save for that all important family holiday. andin those 2 weeks EVERYONE complained for one reason or another,and none were petty coplaints,and when they did the remaining staff made it as unbearable as possible.we eventually booked into a all inclusive at extra cost but oh what a relief.My main advice would be if your a lone female be carefull.and if you have young children please dont waste your hard earned money. ratings ..cleanliness 0.atmosphere 0 . situated in resort 9.size of apartments 9.food hygene 0. we were there in november and in passing no improvments to the overall were planned for this year,so sockets will no doubt still give you an electric shock.

we go every year 10 jof us 2 apartments 2009 will be are 6th year on the run what more can you say its got it all

We have stayed at dursun for past couple of years, you cant go wrong for location to bars-beach & shopping. The bar staff are one of the best in icmeler & papa dursun is ok & up for a laugh the only people that complain about him are young girls bringing men back to rooms papa is old fashioned in that way & will tell you so. The rooms are clean & spacious the pool is cleaned every night rooms cleaned every day by papa,s daughter. Sit round the bar at night & get to know everyone ali & leven[ryan] will tel you the best places to visit or the locals & expats that drink there will help you out. We went to gumbet last year for our second break never again what a [--] we have been on phone to papa & booked our room at dursun again. this was our fifth visit to turkey this accomodation was the most basic no frills ever the bedrooms had beds in fact we had a three bedroom apartment for two peopleand six beds the sitting room was furnished with a bed settee and that is all no additional furniture at all the kitchen had a plastic table and chairs talk about cheap the shower was fitted on the wall almost and was a basic design for a wet room the only thing in its favour was all doors had double locks and bars on the windows plus mosquito nets but the decor was remarkably like a prison cell these apartments could do with a makeover they are ideally placed in the town and would do really well if the two boys ali and ryan could have a bit more freedom to improve things wouldnt go back which is a shame

Anyone going to the Dursun Appts. please beware. These appartments are infested with ants and cockroaches. Electrical sockets and switches are falling off the wall and are dangerous. All the tour operators that sent people to these appartments have now withdrawn. The onlyone left is Icmeler- on- line and I beleive that they are withdrawing this year. It is a great pity because the appartments are in a very good location, they are the only 2 and 3 bedroom appartments I know of in Icmeler. All the apartments are huge. The main problem is the owner. He will not spend any money on the upkeep of these appartments. He does all the maint himself. He lives in squalour and cannot understand a normal persons idea of filthy. He actually sleeps on a sunbed at the side of the pool to save paying for night security. If anyone has stayed at the Dursun before and has met Papa Dursun, they might be interested to know that he slapped one of his female guests a couple of months ago,she promptly slapped him back, dislodging his false teeth, which she took great delight in throwing them against a wall and breaking them.
In conclusion, Icmeler is a great resort for a holiday, the Guys working at the Dursun
( Ali and Levent/Ryan), were absolutely brilliant, Papa Dursun is a nightmare.

stayed at dursun 3 times and each time it got worse .you WILL get a electric shock of the fridge which ever appartment you stay in .air con not always working .my friend mentioned to onother guest about the breakfast around the corner at the florida bar being very good and only one pound -and she mentioned it to the bar staff at the dursun -we were then told very rudely not to do this and the next day we were told we were double booked on our room and were asked to leave ..the rep got us a lovely appartment free of charge ..we will never go back to dursun ..also the tiles around the pool are very dangerous they are all loose so you have to be very carefull where there is children ..bar staff can be a bit miserable at times .the dusun is not bad sittuated .but saying that .there is a lot more that is also

Just back from a week at the Dursun Apartments in Icmeler - myself, husband, daughter and her friend (both 17) and 13-year-old son. Had a fantastic time, despite the mini heatwave which saw temperatures soar! (Still, always a good excuse to cool off with a nice cold Efes!)
The Dursun Apartments are in a great location - only minutes walk from the beach and with loads of bars, restaurants, supermarkets etc close at hand. Apartments are basic, but clean and a decent size. There is a small pool, but plenty of sun loungers for everyone while we were there. Staff were friendly and helpful, with good food available from the poolside bar.
Travelled from Glasgow after booking with Icmeler Online - great, no problems whatsoever and the direct transfer was brilliant - no more hanging around at the airport or making numerous stop-offs at other hotels on the way. The onboard coolbox with water was an added bonus. ICR staff in the resort were also friendly and helpful - would not hesitate to book through them again, and in fact, intend to do so so we can return to Icmeler ASAP!
This is the second time we've visited Icmeler and it's a little slice of paradise. The people are so friendly - we were greeted like long-lost family by staff in restaurants and bars who we'd met last October. Can't wait to get back again!

Left ABDOLUTLEY DUSGUSTED by the treatment of the people staying at the Dursun, i was there for a two week stay and arrived in the early hours of the morning to be given an appartment with rat droppings on the downstairs bed and sofa, the air conditioning was leaking onto a tile floor (very dangerous).
The night life was ok, but other people staying there recommended the 'Dreamboys bar' and shortly after the word was spread they were chucked out of their appartments and were no longer welcome.
The hotel manager was kind at the beggining of our stay but towards the end, he turned nasty over our several complaints on our leaking shower and leaking air- con.
