A fantastic place to stay with great friendly staff!! The hotel is a 5 minute cab journey outside of Side and the same from the beach! The accommodation was clean and very well looked after with their being a maid service everyday to tidy the rooms, they change the sheets and towels twice a week. We really suggest eating at the on site restaurant, the food is as good as any where else in Side! The whole staff were friendly and would do anything they could to help and make our stay pleasant and enjoyable! The swimming pool was fantastic, with their being a full days activities including water gymnastic and water polo! However nobody was pushy and you could join in at your own free will!
This is a great place for couples and families alike, I would definitely return!!

This was our first holiday in Turkey and it was Excellent.
The food was lovely and the restaurant was set over the pool which was nice. Entertainment was on a couple of times during the week......the usual belly dancers and folk dancing! Food and entertainment were brilliant.
The staff were friendly and very attentive, nothing was too much for them and they do work long hours but still ready with a smile and a greeting.(specially rest.bar manger SONER he is a great man and also his staff wonderfull).
We really recommend kentia you should go and see.

I found this place through Thomas Cook and it was a great place to stay. The apartments are spotless. The staff are easy going and friendly (SONER is the best bar manager)and they put on some great shows with belly dancers, Turkish folk dancers etc..
Foods are really nice at kentia and very cheaper then the other restaurants in side.
The harbour area is very annoying as you do get hassled. They do everything to get you in their shops/restaurants and it gets tiresome. It does not matter what you tell them, they will stop you. You have to keep walking and ignore them. It may seem rude but trust me it is the only way!!!
This is my only holiday where I can actually say the apartments were the main highlight. I would not particularly recommend Side, but if you are the type to relax around the pool basking in the sunshine all day, then I would definitely recommend the Kentia Apartments.

The staff are amazing(soner, kadir, mahmut and all of them) very friendly and take time out to sit and talk with you. The food at the bar is very tasty and good value for money cheaper then the other restaurants.

Spent 7 nights here and loved every minute of it. I have 3 children and the staff were absolutely amazing, very friendly, helpfull always happy to see you. rest.bar manager soner and his team was great. we still keep in touch with them on msn.
The hotel itself is very clean and nice basic facilities, lovely pool, restaurant, mini market, pool table, and access to the internet (there is a small charge for the last two).
The food is very good and the price is low,we ate erynight at kentia restaurant.you can pay your bill daily or keep a tab on your room. We paid ours every couple of days to keep on top of it all.
We came home yesterday and have already booked to go back... I would highly recommend KENTIA APARTMENTS.

Kentia apartments were very good value for money. The apartment was spacious and clean. You could not ask for more. The pool area was large and there were plenty of beds.
The food at Kentia was brilliant and the Turkish food is great.when you get there you should try their Turkish Night,B.B.Q party. Kentia really is a place to meet new people. Last year I met lots of people and they came back this year but also I made lots of new friends. The Staff are friendly and are always happy to help rest.bar manager SONER speaks very good english and very helpfull for everyone.
The old town is great, and the ruins along way are fantastic. As someone else has commented (and I’m sure we met them), DO NOT eat that the Temple Restaurant by the ruins. Our meal came to 230ytl, where as every other place would average out to around 80-90ytl. The food there wasn't that great either, be warned!! Would definitely recommend the Kentia, and would definitely think of going there again.

SUPERB. Travelled much of Turkey and have not come to a much nicer place. I really cannot fault it in any way and have already booked for next Year. I noted one comment on the beach being a long way... Not true. Out of the hotel down to the roundabout and straight over (not toward Side)... its 5mins or get the Dolmus, very cheap and great fun.
Our 9 year old goes to Disney every year in Florida... but guess what! She much prefers it here!
A superb hotel and holiday and can vouch for all.
Best Tip ....... Do the mountain safari in the jeeps and swim in the Green Lake... Paradise!!! Or ride a camel on the dunes.

Well where do we start? It was a strange experience at the Kentia in the sense of that you just never know what each day would bring.
For instance, the man on reception at the time of our arrival seem to take great interest in our ages which normally would be kept as confidential information but heh ho!
Then it was the sunbeds or the lack of, just try taking one if you dare - oh boy!
Oh but then we decided one day to have a massage - oh my god, you couldn't have paid for more extras in a brothel! Anyway, the next day he had magically been replaced by a female - phew!
Now then it was time for entertainment - bingo, yes really bingo, but not as we know it. It was improvisation at its best, with a bucket and a few balls with the same numbers on; needless to say it was a long game.
You would be thinking by now that we are not happy at the Kentia but you couldn't be further from the truth!
It was a blast; the staff were great fun, amazingly patient with attention seeking guests.
The food was very nice but pity there wasn't more cooking facilities available.
We would consider returning to the Kentia if we return to Turkey.

The Kentia apartments were excellent and it is an ideal place for a relaxing holiday. The food at the hotel was fine and the staff very good and the cleaners did a fantastic job. The swimming pool was excellent. The lovely beaches are about 20 mins walk from the Kentia but there are free buses to the beach and the local bus services are very cheap and offer easy travel anywhere. The best place we found to eat nearby was the MY CORNER restaurant where the meals were superb especially the steaks! and the staff were very good and the service first class. Disappointed with nearby eating places apart from MY CORNER.

Superb apartments. The staff were excellent and the cleaners did a marvellous job and the place was spotless. The Kentia was ideal for a peaceful and relaxing.
Holiday and the swimming pool were brilliant. The food at the apartments was very good. The beach was 15 mins from the Kentia and there is an excellent bus service (very cheap) in the area and some free bus services as well.
The beach was great and there were free sunbeds a plenty adjacent to numerous eating spots.
Was disappointed with eating places in the area generally but the one exception was a
restaurant called My Corner, where the food was superb especially the steaks!
The staff were great and the chef is a top man and the meals were excellent value.

The apartments were lovely. The only problems are the bad location. It is miles from the beach and a distance from any real shops in the town centre of Side.
There was no free bus to take you to the beach or town centre. It costs a fortune in taxi fares for the two weeks. It is not a very lively place in Side all together.
It is not ideal for young people who want night life.

I have just got back from a holiday with my boyfriend at the Kentia Apartments in Side. I have to say, I have not had a holiday like that in a long time.
The weather was beautiful, the history is amazing, and the people are even better! I cannot fault the Kentia in any way.
The standard of the room was a lot better than I expected, the cleaners come every day with fresh towels and linen.
The hotel staff are lovely, we had many interesting conversations with the bar staff!
We ate in the restaurant every evening. I am a vegetarian and was a little concerned with the variety of food which would be available to me, but I was very pleasantly surprised! The food is lovely, fairly basic, but all freshly made with ingredients from their gardens.
The hotel runs various entertainment evenings, including Turkish night, Belly dancing and a snake charmer! All were very entertaining. If you don't like participating in things like that, beware! They will get you up dancing! :-)
The pool is very well maintained, with staff monitoring it every day. It's very refreshing in the intense Turkish heat!
I do not have a bad word to say about the Kentia, both myself and my boyfriend would go back tomorrow if we could.

The apartments themselves were lovley, they did a good job of keeping them clean.the rooms were nice but the kitchen area was a bit small and lacked applainces. The resturant area was set over the pool which was set round a garden, the pool area was spacious but there was a lack of sun beds.
The faults we had were that the apartments were set back from side itself in a developing area, with not much to do round them, they were leading off a main road which lead to alanya.
We were miles out from side centre and the beach, there was no courtsey bus to the beach. All of the shops and bars were in the town itself, which you had to get a dolmus to, you had to walk out of the apartments and down what seemed to be a big dirt track to the main road, or you could get a taxi which for the two weeks we stayed it cost us a fortune. They had there own taxi s straight out side of the main entrance but once you ve used them they had a habit of hassling you every time you walked out which got really anoying.
There was a mini market in the place but they charged top prices, there were only a couple of other shops which sold food, but you had to walk out of the apartments and down the main road which was quite a treck especially in the heat.
The romen ruins were nice to walk through in side town, there was a train ride in the town which took you to where the shops are it was only half a lira to ride. most of the shops seemed to sell the same things you ve got to be careful with prices they'll try and charge you top prices, the markets are the worst.
They had a habit of playing loud music at about half nine in the morning which was supposed to be some sort of wake up call so you cant have a lie in especially if your on the pool side. the apartments were made up of four floors and there were no lifts what so ever in the place which if you had children or was a wheelchair user it would be hard. we were on the fourth floor so we had to drag everything up to the top,
I would not recomend side to young people as there is not much nigth life, there was a little strech of bars in the centre, but there was nothing round the kentia apartments.

Well this year I stayed at Kentia with 5 other people. I have to say it is one of the best places I have ever stayed at. It’s got everything you need and want... it is surrounded by a few shops and restaurants, but dolmuses are regular and cost 1 lira. If you've had a night flight then 'My Corner' isn’t far from Kentia and serves lovely food and has good service. Though be careful because they do become obsessed with you. But they are lovely people.
The apartments are very comfy and spacious. They include a well equipped kitchen and a rather nice balcony with a stunning view of the gardens. There is also air-conditioning which you do have to pay for separately so don’t listen to your rep!! Though you don’t really need it because you can leave your windows and balcony doors open (just common sense isn’t it), also it is alright to leave them open because there are hardly any bugs!!! So you won’t get eaten. Thought anyone in there right mind would bring Bug Repellent!
Every morning at 10.00 am they play a wake up call. This encourages teenagers and young adults to get up and get motivated after a long night of partying in the marvellous town of Side!
There is constant entertainment at Kentia which ROCKS!! If you love pandpipes (jokes).
The people are very friendly and you can get along with them so easily... they would do anything for you. They also keep you entertained 24/7 in more ways than one! Also the booze is very cheap which is always good, £2 for a pint.
Some random guy by the beach offers some amazing trips. Water rafting, Swimming with dolphins which we did and was amazing...water parks...boat trips...all sorts really and your insurance covers it which is also helpful.
The beach is wicked!! Got some great water sports if you’re into that sort of thing! The beach is clean and sandy but make sure you put extra some cream on because you will burn easier than around the pool.... sunbeds are also not that expensive and always available. It’s about a 15/20 min walk from Kentia but it’s a straight forward walk.
The town of Side offers loads of shops and clubs. I would recommended 'The Lighthouse' it’s free entry until 11.00pm on Saturdays. It’s got great entertainment and is full of different nationalities. Another bar we would recommend is 'Linda' which isn’t in Side but ask when you get in a taxi or dolmuses and they will take you (it’s an English bar).
Taxis and dolmuses cost the same amount so you can use whatever is easier.
Kentia is for energetic and people/families that are looking for a lively yet a relaxing holiday as well... it’s not for people who don’t want a good time!!! Hopefully see you next year when you join us in the KENTIA CLUB DANCE!!!!!
