Stayed 3 nights at this hotel. ALL staff were very friendly. The location of this hotel is ideal, 2 minute walk to the nearest tram stop and 1 minute walk to the Rijksmuseum.
Ideal to get to the night life and busy parts of the city and return to a quiet undisturbed night’s sleep. Breakfast was basic, but sufficient, Rooms were clean, beds a little hard and pillows very flat.
The bar was nice to relax in after either a hectic day strolling the canals or just a last night cap after a heavy night out. This was our first visit to Amsterdam and it certainly won’t be our last, lovely place, lovely people, fantastic choice of food.
We will book this hotel for our next trip, probably on a room only basis. Thank you to the staff for very good inside information into the whys and wherefores of Amsterdam it certainly helped make our first trip a memorable one.

We visited the Acro last year for the 3rd time my sister in law and husband came with us they also enjoyed it so much that we have booked to go again this October. We love the Acro it is the most ideal spot, right on the Leidseplein area which is very pretty lots of bars and restaurants to eat at, you could stay for a fortnight and never have to eat in the same place twice.
The staff are very friendly and the accommodation is extremely clean and tidy. The bar in the hotel stays open as long as you want it to really handy for a quick night cap before bedtime. There is a Hard Rock Cafe nearby by one of the canals and there are comedy clubs which are really popular so you need to book. The Acro is within walking distance of the Heineken Museum and the Van Goch but it is so cheap to travel round on the trams why risk your feet!! The Madame Tussauds there is worth a visit, as is the flower market. The people of Amsterdam are so laid back its great they are very friendly and you feel so safe there. We really do love it.
Once you arrive at the airport the station is within it so you catch a train straight to central station from there you do not need a taxi just pick up a book of tram tickets from the bookstore within the station near the exit and jump on a number 2 or 5 tram. It announces each stop you need the next stop after the Leidseplein and the Acro is down the first road on your left.

A pleasant enough hotel although one could call the rooms a "bit on the bijou side.".
However, the rooms were clean, quite a comfortable bed, nice bathroom and in the morning, quite a substantial breakfast with a choice of juices, cereals, eggs, breads and fruit.
The hotel boasts a bar and a lift, although on one particular night it sounded as though there was a riot going on in one of the rooms until the small hours.
Apart from that, no real complaints. Hotel is situated fairly central in the museum quarter and is within easy reach of the tram services.
Would I recommend this hotel? - Yes (but not for more than 4/5 days).
