My husband & I have just returned from 4.5 wonderful days in Prague. The weather was great, so were the people, the sites etc - we were hoping for a "little extra" from the hotel than we felt we got.
The hotel was clean, staff helpful & friendly but the rooms are not that big (2nd floor), & the decor is very dark, accentuating the claustrophobic feeling. There are no coffee/tea making facilities in the room which is surely mandatory these days in a 4* upwards!
The restaurant is ok but the range of cooked breakfast a bit disappointing. The lunch / eve menu is small & not very imaginative - so we didn't bother eating there.
We were out from after breakfast till after our evening meal but it would've been nice to have had even a small area / coffee bar, that was quiet & relaxing; the main restaurant / bar is all there is!
There wasn't a good range of non-alcoholic cocktails - everything was quite restricted. I'd put the restaurant/bar at a 3* & the rooms barely a 4*.
We're well travelled & realise that standards vary from country to country so can only explain how we would term it in uk terms.
The location, in Wenceslas Sq is good - the room was quiet & our disappointment won't detract from the holiday itself but, if when we return, we'd be looking for something that can offer that bit "extra".

We booked a Deluxe room in the 4 Star Deluxe Jalta hotel, how wrong were we.
The room physically looked good. Breakfast is better in a UK Holiday Inn. We ordered room service on our first night, the food which was sent to the room was the incorrect order and cold. It took an hour to sort it out, during which time we had to listen to a very rude member of staff, who said "people like us should not be staying in the hotel" - please note we were in a disabled room.
Room type was not the issue we simply wanted our order to be correct and the food hot, we had neither. We NEVER had tea bags/coffee or milk replenished for the four days we were there.
The restaurant is ran by a separate company to the hotel and they are incapable of communicating to the satisfaction of the guests.
My advice is go and enjoy Prague from another hotel unless you enjoy a very cold breakfast, rude staff, and inappropriate comments by the room service staff.
On our last day we eventually spoke, via the phone, to the Manager who offered to delete the room service charge and pay for our taxi to the airport, that was not the issue.
Resolution would have been more than acceptable if the rude room service waiter had simply made an apology and we were supplied with tea/coffee/milk in our room each day.
Requesting the later was a long and painful experience.

This hotel is the perfect location and not only that the staff here are really helpful.
The rooms are cleaned twice daily, only if wanted.
This is a fantastic five* hotel and I would recommend it for romantic couples and business people and also for singles.
There is a complex added on to the side of the hotel building which is a beautiful sophisticated restaurant where you will receive first class buffet breakfast and you also get a free drink everyday which is paid and provided for by Jalta
It is modern style and the bathrooms are second to none rooms also inc balconies.
I will be staying in this hotel again as I was impressed by the standards and would recommend you do the same.
